11 minutes is crazy Yogurt! I look forward to your birth story. I felt like I had to push before my water broke. It was wild.

Yogurt, I commented in the other thread but yaaaaaaay! So excited that he's here. How are you doing today? Tlex how are you settling in at home? In another topic, my H went to an open house last night for a popular daycare that is near the elementary school. They don't have openings for infants until Fall 2020... he was like, well how do you know that? Those babies haven't even been conceived! They said that people put a deposit down when they first start thinking about TTC. 😯 ETA oh and the only time frame you can even get your name on the waitlist is the 2 weeks in late Feb/early March. They don't accept additions to the waitlist outside of that. It's crazy. There are other daycares nearby (DD went to one of them until age 3) that were... fine. I mean, they maybe didn't have all the bells and whistles, but are perfectly adequate. I just can't understand why this one is so magical, but I think it's just giving me FOMO, lol.

I feel great. I'm in no real pain besides the contractions when I pump. I'm tired because I do have to pump every 3 hours so at most I can doze for 1 hour because it's like wake up, wash pump stuff, pump, go to NICU, do skin to skin, come back down to my room and maybe there is an hour before you start over, unless someone comes in to talk to you or sign something. Zzzzzzzzzzz. But honestly I feel fantastic.

Congratulations again Yogurt I am glad everything went so well and hopefully your little boy will be released from the nicu soon. I am not ready for the sleep deprevation of a newborn, but I am so ready to not be pregnant anymore another 5 weeks sounds.....987634 weeks long and I am pretty jealous of your short pregnancy 😋

My OB wanted to be extra cautious and sent me for an ultrasound on my leg lump to make sure there wasn’t a blood clot. I spent lots of time in waiting rooms today....which is much better than being at work. So that’s my mental space ha. Waiting room > work
And no blood clot and a bonus quick sneak peak of baby! I’d post the picture, but I can’t get imgur to login. She has had her foot on her face the past 2 scans. It’s also crazy to me how much the 3D picture looks just like D1.

Okay so I just ordered these pants from Amazon for the hospital/after birth and tried them on and they. are. so. soft. I had to pass them along, lol. The fabric is thin but doesn't feel cheap, and they're a little more jammie looking than I thought but I literally don't care. The sizing runs small, I'm a size 16 usually and I ordered a 3XL and they fit great, I'm also 5'9" and they pool around my feet just a tad which I'm excited about because pants are never long enough. They have several color and pattern options and were about $15 and I'm definitely going to order more. So I had to share, in case anyone else is looking for some!

I almost bought some, but was concerned about the length - if they pool around your feet at 5’9, I’m going to swim in them at 5’2 😂

Any idea on if these will be comfortable in hospital after c-section? If I do buy them, I'm also bringing the easy hem tape with and asking my mom to hem them there LOL

They pool more "at" my feet when I sit them under my belly, so when I wear them after birth above my scar it'll shorten them a bit too.

The waistband isn't tight, I like that it has a draw string so I can adjust that. They are silky soft and lightweight which is what I preferred after my last CS.

Last time I delivered vaginally, but that's not likely going to happen with these boys.

Anybody have experience with a ECV? Baby is breech and I have a consultation to see a different OB that performs the procedure. If it doesn’t work I’m looking at a c section.

Edited to not be so negative: I'm sorry you're in this position. Breech babies can be scary! But yes, I had it done at 37 weeks with my first pregnancy. I didn't have a good experience, and it didn't work. I decided that I'm not going to try it with this pregnancy if he is indeed breech (I think he is but I haven't gotten confirmation yet.) We tried it because MH's cousin did it successfully, so they can work. I knew very little about the procedure before we tried it, and I did not see a specialist first, which was probably a mistake. Ask lots of questions. This is not your first baby, correct? I've heard that it has a higher success rate with subsequent pregnancies (MH's cousin that had it was a 3rd pregnancy, my failed was a 1st.) Good luck!

Honestly, it was a waste of time and money. I had it done at 37 weeks with my first pregnancy and it hurt like hell. They give you something that's supposed to relax your muscles and make it easier to turn the baby, but really all it did was make my heart race. Plus you can't eat for so many hours before, so not only did I leave with a still-breach baby afterwards, but I was dizzy and lightheaded and starving. I realize this all sounds very negative. I don't mean to scare you. We tried it because MH's cousin did it successfully, so they can work. I just personally had a bad experience, but they're not all that way. Did you end up having a c section or did baby end up turning on their own?

Congrats yogurt!!
Funny I had those pants in my cart and took them out... adding them back in.
My BFF just told me I’m nesting via shopping. She’s right. Oops. Sorry H and wallet. I’m feeling so overwhelmed and I know once the long run it’s silly and no one will care but I have a huge to do list. Then just remembered DD birthday is one week after due date. I didn’t even have that stuff on my to do list I just had Easter stuff for her on there🤦♀️ I usually do pictures of her for her birthday but seems impossible since we are doing a fresh 48 in the hospital. I guess I’ll nust grab some on the phone outside. Then try to do a party still. Oy. End of rant lol. FWP

remi I don't have any experience with an ECV, but I'm sorry it's stressing you out. Both twins are breech right now so I'm definitely booked for a c section again.

For STM/TTM: which wrap would work better?
I am constantly on the phone (sales job), and know when he gets here, that’s not necessarily going to stop. So I need to be able to hold him and be on my cell and most likely writing/ typing.
I live in NC where in April the weather will be in the 70s, May higher 70s/ low 80s, June 80s and above. I’m due 4/22.
I get hot and sweaty very easily. I live in air conditioning, but I can imagine lugging around a baby will still be warm.
The Boba looks great, but I imagine I would die of heatstroke. Would a ring sling (looks like less fabric?) be better?
We received the Ergobaby 360 carrier for his dad to carry him around in, but I’m sure that won’t work as an all day thing.

I would look into a Solly. I like my ring sling but I don’t feel hands free in it I support the babies head a lot still when itty bitty. I did love my money but it was not when outside even in a Michigan summer lol. So I would probably do a solly if I had to re do. I do love my ring sling but... just not sure that would give you total hands free. Maybe it’s just but I was more comfortable doing dishes and all of that with my moby on.

I agree on wrap v sling when it comes to hands free, and I don't have a ton of experience with a wrap yet but I do know that with a structured carrier like our Tula it was much easier to unclip and lay baby down if they fell asleep in it, without disturbing them much. I would think it would be trickier with a wrap. I haven't used an Ergo either though.

A ring sling limits use of one arm

Hmm. I might have to run to BuyBuyBaby and see if they have any open to try. Although the closest store is 20 miles away

I did not like the moby, it was too difficult for me to get snug and too long to work with. I like it better when I got a more structured baby carrier. I was gifted a ring sling for this baby that I’m willing to try. If not I’ll go to the one I used with DD.

I used a boba and a regular woven wrap and then moved to a structured carrier when my daughter was bigger.
I've never used a k'tan, but they make a couple of different versions for warm climates that might be a good option when the baby is small. I know sizing for the k'tan is critical.
