I started this 21 day bone broth fasting diet thing yesterday. You only fast 2 days a week and then eat more paleo the rest of the time. Today is my first fasting day. I've had some bone broth and I'll eat dinner (24 hour fasting). I can't wait for dinner. Did you make your own bone broth?

I bought Kettle and Fire broth. It's more expensive but I guess it's the best broth for this plan if you aren't going to make your own.

We actually have a non working burner on our gas stove because the previous owner melted the internal thingies making bone broth one year. That alone has put a bit of fear into me for wanting to make it myself. Thank you! I hope dinner was the absolute best. Can’t wait to hear how the diet goes. It sounds really interesting.

I will say that first fasting was a little difficult. Probably because I was home all day. I'm planning on doing them Tuesdays and Fridays. The bone broth does help with feeling hungry, but the last hour or so was rough. I'm sure it'll get easier the more I do it too.

I’m here 🙋🏻♀️
I’m feeling great and itching to get back into exercising. I need to calm down a bit though; I’m 5 weeks PP and my appointment isn’t until the 25th. With D I started the Mommy Trainer program at 9 weeks PP and it caused some bleeding. So I’ll probably need to start smaller.
Trying to eat smart in the meantime. I’m eating way too many sweets though. That’s going to have to change.
I weighed myself yesterday at the doctor and I’m one pound below pre-pregnancy weight. Which still is ~25 lbs above what I weighed 5 years ago when I got pregnant with DS1 😬
The good news is that I’m getting my steps in almost every day now (thanks SAHM life!). I also met a group of ladies in my mom group that SAH and we’ve been meeting once a week for stroller walks. I sweat my ass off during these given that I’m pushing 90 lbs of stroller + toddler while wearing the 11 lb (and growing) infant!

I usually make mine in a pressure cooker on the stove (not opening my IP until we move), it takes about 45 min at pressure IME.

But my co-worked made broth in her IP and she said it took 24 hours?

I make my chicken broth for chicken noodle soup with a rotisserie chicken carcass...does that mean it’s technically a bone broth?

Here's a paleo recipe that takes 30 min: nomnompaleo.com/2012/01/17/20120117quick-pressure-cooker-bone-broth

Bone broth is a little different because the goal is to cook it long and hard enough to get the minerals and marrow and collagen etc out of the bones. A little more intense than a chicken stock. When I pull the bones out of the pressure cooker they are soft and easy to break apart.

Thank you!! If I decide to extend this past the 21 days then I'll for sure start making my own since one 16oz box of the the Kettle & Fire brand is $7 and some change.

If you guys haven’t tried the coconut chocolate covered almonds from Trader Joes, don’t. They’re the devil.

Yes! So far so good. I have pilates tonight and I'm little nervous. But we're sitting down the whole time so I think I'll be fine. 4.5 hours until I can eat dinner! I had a miso soup broth that was pretty good and a beef broth that was not so great at all.
