This. Will kick your hiney. “20 minutes, how hard can it be?” I almost died. I did ‘human version’ but with a 15 lb kettlebell instead of 14 lb medicine ball because I wasn’t walking out to the garage to get it.

I’m going here this month so I can hold myself accountable! Make me accountable peoples!
I’ve been solid at working out every Mon & Thurs since forever (except snow day last Mon, but was not driving me and two kids through 6in of snow).
My resolution this year is to get to the gym 1 Saturday a month. Gold star for making this happen in Jan. I need to find a Sat to make this happen this month.
My coworker is trying out a spin class on Tues during lunch at our company gym and begged me to come along so she doesn’t have to go by herself. I promised I’d go.
I need to keep the diet in check tho because I’m finally seeing some results on the scale! Down 6 since 1/1!! I’d love to continue in that direction so I can make it to my goal of 17 down by the wedding in May I’m going to.

I went to yoga 35 times in January. Ommmm. Do you feel enlightened? No, but seriously. I think yoga would be a very positive thing for me and I say it to myself every time you post about it. If I can’t make it to a class do you think it’s doable to do simple app or YouTube videos?

I do like classes because they can help correct your form if needed. Plus I do hot yoga because I like to feel like I'm dying

I bought a container of chocolate covered pretzels yesterday. They are almost gone. It was not a smart choice, clearly. Ugh.

I’ll check out Adrianne and see if I like it, thank you!

This weekend my activity level was good - we went hiking and to the playground yesterday and then I did a bunch of cleaning. Also, the kids have suddenly really gotten into doing superman's. I lift them up with my feet and move them up and down, side to side, and launch them on the couch. I can feel it in my legs and core. It's shockingly hard after the 5th or 6th ride.
My diet has been pretty bad. Too much eating out lately. So I am going to incentivize myself to eat lunch I make every day with a little chocolate in my lunchbox. I figure a small treat after a healthy meal is better than eating out. Also, I have been giving myself a little bit of a pass on soda the past week so I need to kick that habit again. It's so easy to backslide.
Working out, I'm doing good at 3-4 times per week stationary bike + weight circuits. So just need to keep that up.

I want to get into yoga. I find it so hard because I'm so not flexible but I'm competitive. Also, there's no cute plus size yoga clothing that is affordable for someone who is on her way down. Like I get Fabletics and I like them but I want something with long sleeves which they don't have what I'm looking for. I need to find a dance studio because I want a bolero or wrap sweater (think Ballerina) that can come off when I get warmed up but put at the end when we do that few minutes of reflecting at the end.

You'll get more flexible the more you go! I can do all sorts of things that I wasn't able to do 8 months ago. One of our instructors is plus size. I think she usually wears Alo yoga pants, but those aren't cheap at all. She wears cute tops but they are all strappy tanks. There are a couple women who wear long sleeves in class though. They're just long sleeved tech shirts, I think.

Re: yoga I have done a fair amount over the years. And sophiegrace, I think you would benefit more from starting in a class to learn the positions and the flows more easily. If the instructor is good, they will make minor adjustments to correct your form. And I loved hot yoga for feeling like I really did something. Cheshie6 I have a plus sized friend who I used to do yoga with and I believe she had a lot of Lululemon clothes, but it is not cheap. Now I have a desire to start up yoga again.

Well that's unfortunate considering the price tag on their clothes. I buy all my leggings from Amazon. I've bought a few from Old Navy, but I find their fabric kind of itchy, so they're aren't my favorite.

From not drinking wine during the week for the past 2 weeks, I lost 5 lbs.
Granted I'll probably gain it right back since I've drank my weight in wine the past couple nights...

How’s everyone doing?
I’m playing with my diet more now that I’m feeling better and the rest of my GI system seems to be thankful. Tons of fruit and veggies, minimal to no bread/pasta/rice, and basing every meal around protein. Why does processed food taste so amazing, but make me feel so crappy?
I’m also trying to go out and walk more. I used to have a step goal for each day and that fell to the wayside awhile ago.

I have not been doing good with the "don't use pregnancy as an excuse to eat like shit" goal. I'm hoping to just get through this trimester without gaining 1000 pounds right now.

Eating was the only time I didn’t feel like dry heaving up until last week. My last weigh in was shocking because I was in denial of how bad I was doing. Thankfully eating well keeps me feeling well enough to keep going, but it is such a PITA to do all the prep and cooking. Just cutting up a bunch of fruit is annoying when I know I can be elbow deep in a bag of potato chips in less than half of a second.

I have not done great. But I'm trying something new starting on Sunday.
I'm doing some 21 day bone broth diet. You follow a mostly paleo/w30 diet and then twice a week you do a "fast" where you just have bone broth for 24-36 hours. I think I'm just going to do 24 hours, that way I'm still eating dinner every day.
My coworker has been doing this since this past summer and has lost significant weight and I think I just need to try something new to help me get back on a track.

Eating whatever the heck I want is one of the only perks of pg I think lol. No wine? Milkshake please! Go easy on yourself goldenlove the first trimester is just about eating whatever you can not to feel nauseous.

The food aversions are insane so I'm really just eating whatever sounds good. I'm just trying to check myself when I start going above and beyond. We went to Costco yesterday and I stopped myself from buying so many things lol.. but I have to admit I kind of regret not getting the box of spring rolls. Those sound good.

I'm trying to do 10 days of no sugar, no carb! Thanks J.Lo. JK I am in a rut! I've been stuck at -49lbs to -52.
I give myself 2 days. At the end of day 1, I'm craving chocolate. I was talking with Dh and I saw in a magazine (Shape or Women's Health... I don't remember why I get them!?!) that if you're anxious, sugar isn't going to help. I'm an emotional eater.... I said it out loud and DH goes... "I could have told you that!" Of course I roll my eyes at him but then he says, "I know how my body reacts to stuff under different circumstances. Because of that, I don't drink high sugar, high caffeine drinks when I'm headed to work!" Umm where did he learn that? Do any of you know this? How do I learn it? I track food via WW app but there's no space to figure out how you feel after (they used to have a space for an emoji in their paper tracker books) but I mostly track on the App not on a paper.
I will get back into the swing of losing!

Cheshie6 my body is very sensitive and I definitely react poorly to a bunch of different foods. For example, fruit makes me feel fantastic while processed sugar upsets my stomach and makes me feel like hell. It’s hard to pinpoint unless I’m mentally tracking things and willing to eat mostly the same stuff for a few days in a row and then slowly adding or subtracting things for days at a time. Right now there’s a ton of things I would kill to eat, but I know I’ll regret it for days and not worth the few minutes of enjoyment.

I was just talking about this at work with someone. As soon as I fold and eat something I shouldn’t it starts this never ending cycle that’s so hard to break. It’s been harder since M started eating food because there are snacks in the house we never used to have.

I started this 21 day bone broth fasting diet thing yesterday. You only fast 2 days a week and then eat more paleo the rest of the time. Today is my first fasting day. I've had some bone broth and I'll eat dinner (24 hour fasting).
I can't wait for dinner.
