I was walking to dinner with my MIL and my son, and he was coming out of his fencing class.  He was walking by my son, and turned suddenly and his fencing bag knocked my son over (at the time he was 6). He was so apologetic and nice.  He talked at length about fencing with my son and chatted with us for a while.

They’ve been pursuing Jonathan from Property Brothers for a while. He keeps saying no. A former pro football player that dates Aly Raisman isn’t a “regular” person either.

I wonder if they think their show is getting stale. A million years ago when it started, it was supposed to be a rich, single dude. Andrew Firestone is a perfect example. It wasn’t supposed to be someone “regular.” I think it became that when they 1. Couldn’t get rich single guys to do it. 2. They started recycling contestants.

He was on the bachelorette though. He wasn’t brought in as a famous person. As far as I know since the way back days they’ve never brought in a random famous or famous-adjacent guy. It’s always been someone recycled from a previous cast (I know there were a couple in the very early seasons but that was a looong time ago).

The first year they recycled a cast member for The Bachelor was Bob (season 4). He was so popular with the fans on the first season of The Bachelorette (Trista, who was the real first recycled cast member when they started that show) and fans wanted more of him. They had a few more non-recycles after that, but once The Bachelorette got into full swing they just started pulling dudes from there instead of having guys who were supposed to be well-off or more appealing than just some random.

Andrew Firestone was season 3 Bachelor. Season 2 Bachelor Aaron was some kind of bank executive or something. He had $$. There was also Charlie O'Connell, Jerry O'Connell's brother and Jesse Palmer the football player.
