Everyone has a snow day here! Yay!
I have seen this floating around social media in different forms, and I liked it so I’m going to try and make it today. For those interested:

Morning! I was supposed to meet up with melaniesue SIL (who moved to my town from the USA, what are the odds) today, but preschool called dd threw up 😕. Hopefully we can reschedule soon. I picked dd up and aside from the one time vomit, dd seems fine, so 🤞🏻. We got Red Sox tickets last night, they cost way to much. But Dh was glowing with excitement about how good the seats are. I made me so happy to see him like that, worth the money already.

We were supposed to get a ton of snow today. In stead we got nothing... maybe later tonight 🤷🏼‍♀️.

There may be 2 inches outside, maybe a little less, but I think they closedschools because they’re expecting snow squalls this afternoon right around dismissal. They started with a two hour delay, but called in off about an hour later.

Morning! Stay safe ladies that are in the cold weather. I hope all the sick kids and moms are feeling better.

I have to talk with my management team today to let them know I’m applying for the job. They will get an email from HR as soon as I apply and I don’t want to throw them off guard.

We were also supposed to have some snow but it was just rain. Supposedly snow squalls from 4-7 so I am going to try to leave around 4. DH is working tonight doing the biannual homeless count. Which is basically walking around outside and counting the homeless. The temps are going to dip tonight with a wind chill of -15 so I hope there are very few outside and DH bundles up like an adult. He isn't good about that stuff.

I like the heart idea but since C doesn't know how to read I will skip this year. He is also confusing Thanksgiving and Valentines again. At Thanksgiving he was all about hearts. Now he is telling us on Valentine's we have a big feast and then give him a present and he will give us a present. I'll have to think about what to serve for this feast:)

Sweet! A lot of pizzerias around me (well at least in NY) offered heart shaped pizzas. Super cute!

Morning! We also got ice, enough that they cancelled school. There are a lot of narrow, hilly roads in town so I can imagine that could have been a concern for the buses. So Colin's hanging out with me today, and he's all excited to go to the ortho with us and see an x-ray for the first time. Haha. He's already driving me a little batty but I realize I'm a bit easily irritated right now so I'm trying to be thoughtful about that. DH thanked me last night for how much I've been trying to help lessen the burden on him and I cried. Yikes. I'm doing okay with the not running part, but I've been sleeping so poorly (Chase's cough has not been helping) and between that and all the crutching around, I'm just an exhausted mess. I finally got a decent night of sleep last night so hopefully it'll be a better day.

I love the heart idea, and of doing it for DH as well. I need to start cutting out hearts!

Morning! I’m not leaving my house today. I wish I had all the ingredients to make chicken noodle soup but I didn’t plan ahead. DH is working and I hope he stays nice and warm. Of course the girls were up bright and early, I just want them to sleep in on days off.

Morning. My day started off happy. The dog that has been on the run since before Christmas was finally caught last night at midnight with temps at -50! I’ve been following this on Facebook and saw the update this morning and started crying. That poor pup had to have been so cold.

I’m wfh today ... along with the rest of the state it seems... and have the kids with me. Hoping my phone doesn’t ring at all and it’s a quiet day.

Thanks everyone, I think I’m going to divide up the hearts between the four of us, and the cat. That way everyone has hearts to look at and it makes the kids accountable for the craft, too.

B has school today and then C and I are making a Hallmark run for Valentines and thank-you notes. Then home, because cold.

Morning! The wind chill here is only -5 so seeing how cold some of you are I can’t complain (-50 slenle?! Crazy!!). All the schools in the are canceled today except ours. So we bundled up and I dropped S at school and headed in to work.

I bought a crate for the puppy last night. So I actually got some sleep! The dogs will probably go back outside tomorrow with the warmup.

I feel like a lousy mom today. Both kids are feeling under the weather (according to them) and I become such and anxious mess when they’re sick, I feel like a different person. I feel exhausted, irritated, not in control and there’s a not in my stomach. Does this happen to any of you?

ETA I feel lousy because it doesn’t make me the most sensitive mom out there...

Between Pete howling and MH snoring, I’ve been up since 4:03am. As far as i’m concerned, they’re both lucky to be still breathing.

I just checked my bank account and MH and I each got a deposit today with 1 of our back pay checks! Hopefully another will come tomorrow.

Goodbye no spend January! Just kidding....must conserve in case this happens again in a few weeks! But at least I can pay a few bills now!

Staying warm here today. Realized this is our last year to get the great benefit of daycare not closing for weather. -4 with -23 wind chill this morning. My body was toasty but my legs were cold.
