I'm pretty sure my kid is broken because I don't think he's ever going to sleep longer than 1 hour stretches. Oof, 1 hr? I'm sorry. Passing the caffeine! If we hold him in bed with us when we sleep we might get 2 or 3 hours. But that's not really any better for the person who's got him.

Good morning! Ds1 finally went back to school today. C is a wrecking ball. He climbed up on the couch and promptly fell off before we could get to him. He’s got a little lump on his noggin but seems okay overall. Such a stinker.

Hugs and coffee, sarahandben108 ! Went to go warm up the car this morning to discover it was snowing. I didn't think we were supposed to get it until tonight - the roads weren't treated at all and it's the first time in a long time I've seen it collect on roads faster than grass. Luckily I got N to daycare and myself to the metro without too much trouble. Not much on the docket this weekend. I volunteered to make a cake for my boss's birthday on Wednesday, so I'll probably start that, and also Super Bowl on Sunday. GO PATS.

Just started here. And there was thunder and lightening. I am not looking forward to the drive home from work! Thank goodness I work 10 mins from home. I walked to the gym at lunch and it was raining. The thunder set off car alarms. I forgot my tennis shoes, so gym didn’t happen though! 🤣 just two walks in the rain for my first attempt at getting back into working out. I usually take about 30 minutes with regular traffic from to get the girls at day care (5 miles from work to day care or work to home). Without any traffic it is about 15 minutes. Day care is a mile from home. Last night it took me 1 hour 45 minutes to get home. H volunteered to get the girls because I was going to be so late to day care. It was absolutely insane. I have actually never seen it so bad.

All cases were from unvaccinated children 😡 ::checks your district off possible places to move:: But in all seriousness, fuck that. I cannot believe all the preventable diseases that are resurging. Our pediatrician office recently stopped servicing unvaccinated kids and will not take on people who don't vax and I reaffirms my love of them.

The clinic I work at accepts unvaccinated kids. I talked to a mom on the phone last winter who had multiple kids with a cough who were all exposed to pertussis and they weren’t vaxed either. They all ended up testing positive and I was so furious. It was difficult to mask my anger over the phone when I had a 4 month old at the time.

I should say they're no longer taking on new unvaxxed kids. They haven't booted any current unvaxxed patients and when we went in the girls last check up in November they already had a few flu cases, all unvaxxed kids. I think my pediatrician might have lost her eyesight she rolled her eyes so hard telling us.

Busy day here. I had a big work meeting so drove to my moms to drop the kids off then another hour to work. Same deal but the other direction three hours later. I'm sore from sitting so much.
It was too cold for ds1 to get outside to play so he's been a bit of a monster. Ds2 is nursing for only the third time today so my boobs aren't happy. I'm just hoping he sleeps better tonight. 🤞

I should ask my pediatrician if they accept non-vaccinated kids. I sort of hate follow a local holistic mom group (some of whom vaccinate!) and am always happy to not see my pediatrician come up when people ask for ones that are ok with not vaccinating!

I celebrated the end of Dry January with a glass of wine last night. I seem to have lost my taste for wine lmao. That's one way to keep my alcohol consumption minimal 🤷 also I watched the movie home again and it was cute. The love interest actor is adorable.

I am 99% sure my pedi doesn’t take unvaccinated kids but I will definitely confirm next time we are in there after reading this!
We seem to be over the cheese aversion! He’s been eating it all week at daycare, is currently inhaling a cheese quesadilla for lunch, and apparently has wanted it so bad he started stealing it off other kids plates! 🤦♀️ Be careful what you wish for lol

I am not sure I can contain my rage regarding the measles outbreaks.
Just... so fucking dumb. I remember the Disneyland outbreak was right before DD1 was a year old and we aren’t that close, but close enough that I was worried.

Our pedi doesn’t accept non vaccinated kids, and I overheard her tell one of the nurses one time that next to clean water, vaccines are one of the most important life saving measures for kids worldwide, so I love her.

H's fishing "friend" doesnt vaccinate his 2 children and he went on a huge tirade this morning to H. It's all a set up from the government. Measles is easy to cure. Vaccines cause autism. His kids never get sick. (Oh and the best one) people lived a long time with those diseases and never needed vaccines! If the school tells him he has to vaccinate he will move his family to NH. And when H brought up other people who are immunocompromised he said "they will get sick anyways, doesnt matter what I do with my own family" I was so beyond furious I started yelling at MH lol

Tried taking the kids outside to play. It took longer to get ready than we were actually outdoors lol. At least they got *some* fresh air. Ds1 is going to a friends this afternoon and I have to go grocery shopping. Probably not the best idea right before the superbowl, but we need food 🤷♀️
Its supposed to be crazy warm out tomorrow so hopefully we can try to get outside again

I woke up at 5am and the boys were still sleeping so I went to the gym and got a good workout in. C “helped” me clean all morning. He was so cute following me around with his toy vacuum and little mop. We got the whole house clean! Which only lasted 10 minutes before ds1 spilled hot cocoa powder all over the kitchen floor.
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday!

He’s eating VEGETABLES! I mean, with chicken nugget, but VEGETABLES! That aren’t puréed! Seriously this is such a huge weight off. He’s made so much progress with food in the past week!

Ds1 and I enjoyed the wonderful weather today. It was great! We're buying a new sectional couch for the basement tonight and I need to go grocery shopping at some point. I'm trying to decide if it will be less crazy tonight or tomorrow. I'm making baked ham and cheese sliders and cowboy caviar, then we will have lots of apps and dessert. My friend is pregnant and we will be finding out the sex tomorrow too, I'm very excited!!!
So what else is Nov/Dec '17 eating tomorrow 😁
