They're anticipating a ton of snow throughout the day so school was canceled. Hoping to get the kids out this morning before it starts coming down a ton.

Morning! School, groceries, swim class and some other errands on the agenda today.
Question: when flying to the states (8 hours) we’ll be in a 2-4-2 plane. Would you girls choose to sit on two 2-seat rows behind each other or to take the 4-seat row and we’d all sit next to each other?

Enjoy your snow day! We have some scheduled for tomorrow and I’m excited for an early dismissal or a day off! Kids are stirring now. Hoping they stay in bed for the next few minutes, but probably not.

Morning! We have a 2 hour late start which means no preschool for N. I need to call daycare to make she she can go since she’s not scheduled. My boss sent a text last night to us saying not to feel obligated to show up on time due to the weather so I’m going to take my time this morning. nam2013 I would do the 4 seats in a row for sure

@nam, I’ll probably be an outlier: The four seat is in the middle? I think I’d go to 2 and 2 to stay a little more contained, hope the kids could sleep and also look out the window.

This is exactly where my hesitation lies... window & contained vs four together and being able to make a makeshift bed for the kids...

nam2013 Depends when you’re flying. If at your night time then 4 together so the kids can hopefully curl up and sleep. If during you day for sure the seperate, if they start to get restless, then they can both sit behind you guys so if they’re kicking your not worried about bothering other too much.

I'm exhausted this morning. Jack woke me up at 6 because he leaked through his pull up and I never got back to a good sleep after cleaning him up. I'm going to take a hot shower to wake me up after I get them dropped off.

Morning!
Getting everyone ready for school...can’t wait to have the house to myself!
Also, the Baby Shark phenomenon has at long last found our household, so. Yay.

This is exactly where my hesitation lies... window & contained vs four together and being able to make a makeshift bed for the kids... I think you will be more comfortable mentally in the row of 4. If one of you falls asleep you won't worry about the kids as much. And I think the idea of them being able to play together will be nice. You can always separate them if together isn't working.

I didn't get my workout in yesterday before the gym closed and I woke up late (thanks for sleeping in E!). So I'm WFH today and hope to get a lunch swim in. MH called to tell me he had issues with his starter this morning so I have to schedule that for this afternoon and hope it doesn't ruin my plans

nam2013 - it depends on the kids. Do your kids play well together and help keep each other entertained? If so, I’d say the 4 seats in a row. But if the get each other riled up, fight over toys, and fuss at each other a lot, I’d say the 2 seats per row.

I’m headed back to work today! And already have a babysitter snafu. Sierra’s after school sitter that picks her up and keeps her has a 4 month old that has RSV and is in the hospital. So I’m trying to finagle schedules so MH or I can go pick her up today. But I think it’s going to have to be him. I have a very very very important job today. I have to get payroll done for the last 35 days for everybody so we can get paid!

Morning ladies! klong11 I was going to comment on yesterdays thread, but here I am...we make Evie pick all of her toys up every night before bed. She knows if she leaves things out, they will be thrown away. On weekends when we are home, I have her pick things up when it starts to get too chaotic, like, if you bring something out, you have to put something back. Otherwise, she would bring her entire playroom into the living room and I'd lose my mind. Childish threats, yes, but they work, for now.

I'm at work. I can't breathe at all but I've missed so much work lately.
Pretty sure M has an EI. Last night it was red and this morning she had too much wax for me to see anything. I tried to get the wax out and she flipped the F out. I'm going to see what it's like tonight. The clinic stays open till 7:30 so if it's too bad, I'll take her after MH gets home. It may have to wait until morning though.

The little one would have been very mad if he could not have say with his brother. Mostly they both watched the tablet. It was heaven for me b/c it was actually 3 and 3 so somehow MH sat with the 2 kids and I sat alone across the aisle. I got to read a book!!!

Morning! It is v v cold outside. H is at school and I’m picking up from the weekend. Nothing really on the agenda for the day except not leaving the house unless we have to. nam2013 I’d do the 4 together, parents on the outsides, kids in the middle.

chrisy01 I'm so confused by your work. You help our your old team/department so much. At some point, their manager(s) need to realize they will either sink or swim. Why do you have to be the one to bail them out all the time? I hope thy compensate you for all the help you provide.

So it was agreed that I would train and help with certain projects when I took this new job. However, everyone is noticing all the things that are not happening in a timely manner. Many people have complained to leadership about me leaving the team. I’m scared I’m going to be sent back and that will be my forever home.

Morning from the office. We're trying to internally come up with an alternate proposal after our major partner suggested our next on-site meeting take place in Calgary over my birthday. I'm supposed to be in Miami so that doesn't work and I'm still likely going to be in the boot and on crutches the week before, so that may be rough. But my manager is out the week after. So yeah, we can't even come up with something internally to offer, nevermind get their buy-in.
DH and I got into a bit of a tiff last night but we already apologized and talked it out. He's feeling run ragged after just a few days of me with limited mobility, but he's also aware that I'm trying to help and I'm the one with the broken ankle. So we've just got to keep talking and adjusting our new separation of duties so we both maintain sanity.

nam2013 I'm absolutely team row of 4. The window provides minimal entertainment (mostly at takeoff and landing). No one stares at it for long when going over the ocean. It'll be easier for one parent to watch the kids if the other has to go to the bathroom. It'll be easier for parents to talk to each other and you can move around and rearrange seating if needed.

MH is such an amature. Madison was faking sick this morning so he told her she could stay home. So she was a demon for me when I told her to get ready for school. Dude, she showed no signs of being sick this weekend, had her usual insane energy, and was lamenting the start of the week last night. 🙄
