I'm watching the Fyre documentary while ordering title on people's properties. I wish I could do this!! I'm listening more than watching, but this task is not that difficult.

One was enough for me. Lol. Which one did you watch? Netflix. It was interesting, I just don't care to watch another documentary about it.

Yay danib ! And that's most excellent news starbuck ! This week can kiss my ass, I'm over everything. What's going on? Nothing major just a bunch of little things adding up. We got Luna's ashes back on Monday so that set a fairly somber note for the week. On the plus side my H didn't end up having to fly out to Toronto as his company originally wanted. Thank heavens too because of all the flight issues happening now because of the shutdown. He would have been the only one coming from the West Coast. As it is, others experienced three to five hour delays depending. On the not so positive side that means he's getting up at 5:30 to attend the training remotely, and he is NOT a morning person. He also has a cough, so you know, dying. Stress is also doing a number on my stomach and digestion, so I think I'm going to make an appointment with a gastro just to rule out anything serious because my anxiety has me thinking I have ibs or even cancer (my anxiety is an unreasonable, panicky, annoying bitch). And A hasn't been napping consistently at all, which screws up my day completely. I still put her in her crib for "quiet time", which is anything but that, but she doesn't last as long just hanging out with Violet and some books as she does when she actually sleeps. Her bottom molars are cutting through so maybe that's part of the problem? I just want her to sleep in the afternoon again. In short I just feel like running away from everyone and everything.

OMG YOU GUYS!! This is such a great day. A few weeks ago, I applied for a Women's leadership development program here in ATL that prepares women to serve on nonprofit boards and for leadership positions within the nonprofit community after completion. You also do some fundraising for job training and mental health services for low-income women as part of the program. It's a competitive program and they usually only accept about 25% of applicants. Was expecting the next step in the process to be interviews (per their SOP), but they just accepted me to the program and said that I scored so high on the application that they are completely bypassing my interview and just accepting me straight out! Like what! I have to go get a headshot now lol In case you didn’t know, you’re the type of woman I want my daughter to grow up and strive to become. All the congrats, you deserve this so much! And so do all the people you’ll be helping. Go get yourself a Dr Pepper!

Hey elle I have two plane tickets to Florida that are up for grabs. You would have to go to a tiny airport in northeast PA to get them though... I hope you’re ok. If there’s anything we can do to help we will.

I have no doubt she's going to be an incredible person and all around super woman. And if girlie grows up and wants to work in NGOs, auntie Starbuck will have the internship/job hookup lol

H is all hyped up, but I’m side eyeing the entire call. I think they want to buy H out with the stipulation of a long term contract that would require us to stay here. The possibility of bringing him up to their Baltimore office was mention.
No. Fucking. Way.
Better quality of life my dude. Better. Not losing all control of the business you built while having to continue working 80 hours a week. And Bmore? Yeah. No.
They’re going to talk and digest and call him back next week. We’ll see. Excitement level has been downgraded.

I get why they want to keep YH around a while, he's obviously a talented doctor and has business acumen (and so do you of course since you built this great practice as a team) but damn. No thanks.

elle I get GI issues when I'm stressed, too. I had to start taking some like Zantac the past two weeks to try to deal. Seriously felt like I could feel the ulcer eating away at my stomach, and the rest of my insides were full on rebelling, too. It's finally calming down. I hope you get some relief.

sophiegrace and all others, need opinions My mother was here wth the kids yesterday. She felt fine all day. She said she sneezed a few times and thought nothing of it; it was like 5* here yesterday. When she got home she felt immediately congested and got facial pain, like sinus pain and went straight to bed. Today all day she was in bed, every time she tried getting out of bed she would just roll over and go back to sleep. She said a lot of congestion - nasal and coughing it up. Didn’t want to eat. But here it is 24 hrs later and she said she feels 100% normal as if nothing happened. The only thing I know going around is a 24hr stomach bug, but my mom didn’t vomit or have diarrhea. My question is, is there such a thing as 24hr colds? Also, she’s supposed to watch the kids tomorrow. Is it safe to assume if she was here the day she came down with it they’d already have gotten it and tomorrow would make no difference ? Or do I suck it up and call out.

kleigh is it possible it wasn't anything viral or bacterial? Like does she have an allergy she may have come into contact with that really set off her sinuses?

kleigh I’ll be completely honest, that has me a bit perplexed. The only thing I can really think of is that she had been sick for awhile and her body just finally had enough, resting all day then enabled her to fight off whatever it was. Or maybe a migraine? I get them in my sinus area occasionally and they’re enough to knock me out for a day if I’d let it. But that probably would have had her mentioning some severe head pain. How’s her overall health? She’s not showing any signs of anything else going on, is she? Sudden weight loss, abnormal tiredness, mood changes, activity intolerance? Anyway, if she was with the kids when she started feeling crummy she would have already passed any germs on to them if it was a contagious sort of thing so if she’s up for it I wouldn’t waste the PTO.

Remember when I gave myself an ulcer at 4 months post partum? That was fun. I’m going to try and not do that this time.

I really can’t take any of the credit. He’s an amazing human being and just gets...everything. I’m in awe most of the time of everything he’s capable of doing. He thinks the call went well for a first call meet and greet type thing and I believe him. I mean, duh, they weren’t just going to say hey! let’s write this big ol’ check for you! Not sure why my hopes and expectations were up that high.

kleigh I had a weird sickness like that during Christmas time. Christmas Day it started to hit me that my throat was sore and I was really tired and body aches. I had to take a nap between brunch with mom and dinner at my sister's. Then Boxing Day we were supposed to go to DH's family for Christmas stuff but I legit couldn't get out of bed. All day. Then next day I was perfect. It was so weird but I just chalked it up to all the stress and exhaustion catching up on me. I'd (personally) still let her babysit if she is feeling like she has hee energy back.

Thank you starbuck sophiegrace danib Thank yous. I think I just needed some hair pats that I wasn’t a bad mom for letting her still come so I can get work done. I left it with her last night that we’ll see how she feels overnight and this morning. This morning she text me that she still felt fine, aside from an occasional need to blow her nose. She came and she looks and acting completely normal. She’s “older” (61 in March) and she runs herself ragged between grandkids and my sister and brother etc so I’m chalking it up to being run down and just a little something tipped the scale until she was able to rest and sleep it off.
