For those that have dealt with pink eye, what eye drops were prescribed? M2’s eyes have been goopy and I thought it was because I forgot his Zyrtec 2 days in a row, but we saw one of his classmates at the doc yesterday. I was at school when his mom picked him up today as she mentioned his eyes look better, and another sibling of a different kid has pink eye. His eye is a little red now, so I’m thinking it’s infected. His ENT prescribed him ofloxacin ophthalmic solution for his ears post tubes. Just wondering if I can actually use it on his eyes. I googled and it seems I can, but wanted to check here to see if anyone else has had it for that.
Would you think I could just call the nurses line in the AM and tell them and they would just send in a prescription? Or would they want to see him?

Ok, so my in-laws are crazy but the best (nothing new), C and L wanted to go for the night so they took them. I put A to bed at 6:30 and MH is working super late so it's wine and Flea Market Flip over here!

I’ve taken a pic of their eyes before and sent it to the pedi asking for a prescription. I’ve gotten moxeza, which are expensive and this:

Ok, I just had the scariest moment of my life. I was putting laundry away in the other room while S was in the living room watching Bubble Guppies. I come in to peek at her because something didn’t sound right....I see her dangling over the basement half wall thingy (not sure what you call it). And SMILING! I wanted to scream NO!! So she new that was a bad idea...but didn’t want to scare her and her let go or something. So I gently but quickly glided to her and grabbed her, hugged her, then yelled at her and popped her bottom telling her no that we don’t do that, then hugged her again. I’m sure she is super confused by all that. My heart is still pounding. Did I mention it’s an unfinished basement with a concrete floor at the bottom. Sheesh! Her arms were holding on to the top (and her hands, you know, the ones that don’t work right) the rest of her body dangling on the basement side. She had climbed over the couch which will be moved to a new position before she wakes in the morning.

Sunny41 - Thank you for the offer. My MIL has one if I change my mind. DH's family have all reached out. My Mom and my best friend are also coming to visit this weekend. Again, silver linings and all.

lahdeedah I’ve used that before for my own eyes. For C we were prescribed neomycin ointment. I think it’s Dr dependent on if they need to see. Our always does but I’ve heard some don’t. Worth a shot to ask the nurse.

lfig you need those nets they put under a trapeze! Baby C graduated from standing in the coffee table to standing on the dining room table. Today while climbing from the chair to the table, he fell and smacked his mouth. So much blood but he ate dinner fine afterwards so hopefully he’s good.

Wow lfig. Great mother’s intuition on that one. Also, sorry about the medication fiasco. That has to be frustrating.

Thanks for the input. I sent a pic to Mh to ask SILs pedi friends. He has their number. Our doc’s twins are in M’s class and I sometimes see her when I drop him off. I hope she is there in the morning so I can ask her. I usually don’t like to do that, but I’m really trying to avoid having to take him in tomorrow. If she sees him in the morning, I’m hoping she will just call us in something.

M2 has been climbing on our dining table for a while now. At any given moment he would disappear and next thing I know he would be sitting on top the table laughing.

That’s exactly what S got for pink eye. 1 drop 4x a day for 7 days.

How scary lfig! My sofa was right up against the railing to our stairs and it always freaked me out so I moved it recently. I’m glad you made it there before she took a tumble. Ouch C kim22! I bet he didn’t learn his lesson though, darn kids.

My SILs friends got back to MH and said it should be fine, but I forgot to ask them how should I use them until I call tomorrow.
