Hi!
Work this morning was nuts and I’m so glad to be home for a couple hours before getting the boys. I need to be picking up, but I just had a late lunch and I’m kicked back watching TV. Probably not going to the gym and will speed pick up before I have to leave.
My mental capacity for the week has been maxed out and I need to zone out.

guster we have an LG washer/dryer and I’ve had the same experience on the timer on the washer. Seems like it usually happens with big, bulky loads (towels, tons of sheets, etc) and it recalibrates to make sure all the water is out.

Welp, we are in a argument about ordering pizza.
God love my husband, but he is SO slow about stuff like that. I asked him about it shortly after 5 and offered to order it. No, he's got it. Then he seems surprised when kids are melting down/rioting at 5:30 and I ask if he ordered it yet. This isn't rocket science, we get the same thing every. time. Ten minutes later, I ask if it's ordered; it's still not done, and now we are in the midst of a fight b/c I was "nagging him".

Husbands don’t actually know how to tell time. I’m convinced of it.

Husbands also don't know how to load a dishwasher, no matter how many times you explain to them how it is done.

Picked up the kids and went to eat out so that’s one less mess I have to deal with tonight. MH will be home tomorrow evening. 🙌🏽 I told him Sunday I’ll be locking myself in my room for half the day.

flamingo we get pizza every Saturday. It's the same every time and yet he always asks what I want. Uh, I want the same thing we always get! Why ask? And he refuses to pay delivery fees. He'll go pick it up every time.

Say what now? flamingo How did she and the baby get discharged so quickly? A one day old at a restaurant in the midst of cold and flu season? Yikes.

This is me, too. Like, more power to you if you feel up to it, I guess, but a baby out at a day old? The FFFC part of this (flame away) is that I kind of wonder if this is a ploy to rep the plant-based supplement she sells (MLM)...like, look I basically sneezed a baby out and am out eating tacos 24 hours later...thanks little green pills!!!!" I'm terrible.

Woah, flamingo! I mean, I could do a taco and marg at home on my couch in pjs and giant underwear (or in a hospital bed), but going out? No thanks until like day 5... and even then it's a quick lunch out very sporadically.

flamingo that sounds very much like a 4th birth. I'm sure if my nephew wasn't in NICU for breathing issues she would have been out of there asap.

Eh I'm not judging. I'm sure she's not passing baby around for everyone to germ up. When jack was born it was like 85 degrees. All my baby clothes from matthew were way to warm so I put him in a wrap and shopped on the way home from the hospital.

I'm not judging at the fact that the baby way out really... C was at a brewery within his first week of life, precautions were taken... I'm just shocked at being out so quickly after giving birth! I just wanted full comfort. I also don't know what it's like to give birth vaginally though.

There no way in hell I’d be out for dinner less than 24 hrs later though.

Idk, baby is just hanging out on the carrier on the floor of the restaurant. It doesn't *really* surprise me knowing what all I know about it, I just thought it was a bit strange.
I took B out to the mall when he was a week or 10 days old but i guess it's just a combo of so tiny plus noisy bar/restaurant plus aren't-you-still-wearing-mesh-undies-and-Tucks-pads?? that makes me a bit "wow". Like I said, maybe she IS superwoman.
My theory about the MLM still stands, though...esp. after reading the comments she's getting and her responses.
If y'all need me I'll be googling 'tickets to hell'. eta: maybe I should be googling whatever the heck she sells?

MH and I went for lunch with C when he was like 5 days old. We picked a quiet restaurant and went at an off time, so we weren't by anyone. He sat in his carseat the whole time I think. We ate and I got the draft beer I'd been craving. Win win. Again, the day after giving birth? Nooooo way.

After my 4th I would have gladly stayed in the hospital for like 2 weeks. They cooked for me, cleaned for me, watched my baby so I could sleep, and other people took care of my other 3. I also got a corner room where you had to go through a storage room to my room so it was super quiet. It was amazing.
Also stopping breastfeeding is so much worse than starting for me. I can’t wait for the next 48 hours to be over.

kim22 ah, the voice of experience! And I agree, I had a much harder time stopping. So miserable and painful. I hope the next couple days pass quickly for you!

flamingo I'm going to hell quickly too. My sis is in DEEP with her makeup MLM and it is taking over. Half of her time up here was doing makeovers for family, discussing who else to sell to, scolding me for not commenting enough on her posts, etc. I do use it and I like it but the constant selfies and live Facebook stuff, eesh. Granted she is going Mexico with them next week with her h and is having fun..but it's not my scene. ETA: no thanks to going out with a 24 hour baby. I ran into a salad place to get takeout on the way home..and then sat myself on the couch for days.
