Fantastic Friday

I'm so happy it's Friday!  How are all you beautiful ladies this morning?

We seem to be receiving an over abundance of emails from scammers recently. Usually they have an email address whose name is our CEO's, so if someone quickly looked at it, they'd see his name, but the address is definitely not our company email. So I have started messing with them. I pretend like I'm going to get them their $1000 worth of iTunes gift cards, or this week, they wanted $3000 of Home Depot gift cards, with a picture of the back, after I scratched the code.

I've started sending them pictures I take of myself on snapchat, so to disguise myself, flipping them off, or other stuff. It kind of makes my day.

Not much going on here. B has school, DH is flying today. We have a "polar vortex" headed our way--yay! (<--sarcasm)--so I'm going to hit the grocery store this morning. Wish I had planned ahead for a Wally World pick-up.

LOL mwhip. Not emails, but we've seen an uptick in spam phone calls lately; my H gets several a night. We're both on the DoNotCall list and don't give out our #s so I guess they're just robo-dialing. So annoying. DH will mess with them sometimes, too.

Morning! I'm at work. I'm going out with some friends for happy hour after work and then stopping by the storm to stock up on wine because we have a snowstorm coming out way!

Good morning all! What's your weekend looking like? It's supposed to be 3 degrees and get 4 more inches here. I need to go to the craft store and get some things to keep the boys entertained inside.

We went to carters after my appointment yesterday and my mom spent a small fortune. But dinosaurs are the girl thing this year! Matthew is going to love her clothes lol.

Trying to put C down for his morning nap and waiting for the couch protection guy to show up. Things are finally starting to settle and I think I’m getting my head above water so I’m hoping to be back here more. I miss you ladies.

peachsmama, I ordered some dino pants for Cadence. I love them. She's whatever about them.
But, all of their dino baby stuff made me swoon. So freaking cute.

So mh was supposed to go to his friend's house last night. This is the friend who just got married and we're still trying to determine if it is a for real relationship or a green card one. Anyway, he left to head over there, got a text to wait, so he went to a book store to walk around, then he got a text that said "wife problems, don't come". So there is already trouble in paradise. Mh was all, well she was sick Tuesday and we couldn't go bowling. I pointed out that maybe she wasn't really sick on Tuesday and maybe they were fighting then too.

He misses his friend and I miss my quiet nights!

It is so adorable! My mom bought every dino thing carters had. Jackson was carrying them all around last night yelling "these are all my favorite!!"

I love dressing my boys but now they both have opinions about what they wear... I'm looking forward to a baby with no objections 😂

Morning. I overslept, H woke me at 8:30 asking me to butter her toast. We have to leave for preschool at 8:45, latest, so I sprung into action getting everyone ready. We had our coats on, just about to leave and I decided to check my email quick. We are in a winter storm warning for today so I wanted to check to see if they cancelled school because some of the nearby schools had already cancelled last night and sure enough, school is called off. So now I’m back in my sweats laying down. We’re only supposed to get 3-6in today but I’m guessing there will be wind or something for the schools to call off.

I’m debating on going to the doctor today. I still have a sore throat and this has been going on since 1/6. I got my negative swab on 1/9 so I’m kind of wondering if I went in too early. Also, last weekend when I was in the ER working I was exposed to influenza A. Maybe I’m just a hypochondriac like my husband likes to say. I messaged my doctors office last night and the nurse told me conflicting info. The first line said that if symptoms are persisting I should come in, but then the next three said that if Tylenol or ibuprofen are helping then I can wait and see. Real helpful.

trtlcrzy sorry you still feel bad, I'd go to the doctor, if you can. Two weeks is a long time to be sick.

Also, I'm impressed H can make toast on her own. E wouldn't be able to get the toaster on the counter, much less the bread out of the fridge. I do at least have squeeze butter, so she could butter her own toast.

Last night C slept from 8-6! It was amazing! Unfortunately, the worst period ever made me have to get up and change my sheets. I’m also dealing with a knee injury (just banged it hard in the wrong place) and engorgement from stopping nursing but I have nothing to do today so I’m just catching up on the Bachelor.

We only got a dusting of snow but I’m hoping the weekend isn’t bad. DD has a meet that will only be canceled for a state of emergency (in NY) and we will both be sad if we can’t get there.

Thanks, I decided to just make an appt. I checked my temp again after posting and it’s 101.3.

Our toaster and butter live on the counter so all she had to do was get the bread out of the bag and put it in. I love to foster independence, within reason, because then I don’t have to do it.

trtlcrzy, glad you made an appointment. Hopefully they can give you something to help you feel better soon.
And that’s awesome that H will do that on her own... N can and knows how but not a chance he does it.

Same. J always wanted to pick his own bowl and spoon and if I did he melted down. So I would put it back and let him pick. My dad was always saying I was giving in to easy. But hes 3 and now gets his own bowl, spoon, cereal, milk, makes it and puts everything away. He just comes to me to wipe his hands and face when hes done. I can lay in bed or be getting ready for the whole process. And now M does it since his brother does.

Did I ever tell you about the time I just about caught the house on fire toasting pop tarts when I was 6 or 7?

My dad was in bed recovering from a hernia surgery. Mom was at work. I put pop tarts in the toaster but didn’t lower the setting...the pop tarts charred and the filling caught fire. The toaster was in flames, kitchen filled with smoke. The flames burnt the cabinets above the toaster. My dad, recovering from surgery came running out and grabbed the toaster with towels and threw it in the sink under water. Burned his hands in the process. I think I lost favorite daughter status for a while after that 😂.

We are twins. I burnt the cabinet above the toaster, too. I don’t remember what I was toasting and the details. I think I was 10 or so. And I think I was home alone. I was usually the last one to leave waiting on the bus for school.

Morning. Remember how I bragged the other day about S sleeping in .... guess who woke up at 4:15 today for the day 😬😩. I tried to ignore her for a while but it was difficult because she has to sleep with these braces on her arms and when she wakes up she wants them off ASAP!

Morning! Rough night with E. I feel the days C closes at work E doesn’t sleep as well. LO has been in red the past two days at school so I’m hoping he has a better day today.

LOL or maybe she is still sick or was too sick to clean the house and annoyed he invited people over.
