Also check on FB groups. I have found some private FB groups to be so helpful in navigating Sierra’s struggles that are specific to her diagnosis’s. As well as my struggles coping with the complexities of it all. |

inthekitty You're a better woman than I am. I'm dreading the losing-teeth phase of parenthood b/c I am so squeamish about stuff like that. The thought of a loose, wiggly tooth makes my stomach turn over. I hated losing my own teeth as a kid. MH is totally grossed out by it so I'm stuck dealing with it by default. It wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so drug out. Every lost tooth has been an hour long ordeal with lots of emotion and tears. Joking to her about how grossed out dad would be helps break it up with some laughs. After the last one I had a nightmare that some of my teeth fell out. |

Me and my brother were complete opposites on this. I remember him tying a string around his tooth, then having me tie the other end to a door and shutting it. I, on the other hand, remember having to go to the dentist to have him pull them, which later resulted in teeth growing in sideways and crooked, leading to braces. I hope Evie does not take after me. |
