So we have one for tropes you love, Roommates, friends to lovers, fake boyfriend/girlfriend, locked up together ect. What are ones you hate? Mine is Fridgeing. Brought to you by Deadpool spoilers {Spoiler} Them killing his lady in the first 15 minutes so he can have a reason to go on murderous rampage. Hes fucking Deadpool does he really need a reason???

I'm laughing at the end of that. Yeah Deadpool is like the most murdery character ever. He doesn't need assistance with that.
I used to be anti-Veela fics, but have found some I enjoy so I guess I can't claim that one anymore.
Other than that, I don't really care for Wrong Boy who Lived. I've read a few and they all bug me.

Also it's not really a trope but I read too many Draco/Ginny fics where they were described as some variation of ice and fire and now I recoil if I see that phrase anywhere.

I don't really like the trope where Rey and Kylo switch roles. I just can't see Rey as evil.

As far as Harry Potter goes, I’m not a fan of resorting of houses. I know there’s one that everyone is raving about. Eagles nest?
And the only one I loved was “the fine line between love and hate” one. Where Harry and Ron were sorted intro Slytherin and were kind of asses to Hermione along with Draco. It was one of those where you had to push pass some stuff becusse it was actually a great fic. But it’s one of my favorite dramiones. Outside of that though, I don’t really care for resorting of houses.

I don't do resortings. I do however enjoy ones where they were sorted differently to begin with. So I guess to me resortings are ones where they were originally in one house and then got moved to a different one. There's one WIP that I was liking (but hasn't updated in forever) where Draco and Hermione were originally Ravenclaws all along (as was Fred Weasley, though still very much a prankster with his brother).

Yeah me too. Like the Hermione into Slytherin works for me. I always wondered why the twins weren’t acknowledged to be as brainy just because they were riots. It takes a lot of cerebro to make all those pranks and build a shop around them.

I may get shunned for this but I don’t like when a story strays too far from the original. I’m not saying that a few little changes here or there aren’t great but complete derailments bug me. There is a reason I love the original story so much, so I don’t like when it’s completely different. I much prefer when the fic is sort of woven into the original or takes place afterwards.
I think that’s the reason I like Isolation so much but don’t love Debt of Time. Isolation kept mostly to the original story but changed a some things to make it work.
