Week/EDD: 19w6d, due 6/6/19
Baby is the size of: mango
FTM, Etc: FTM
Team: blue 💙
Appointments: anatomy scan on Monday!
Milestones: halfway there tomorrow!
Symptoms: tired, lower back pain, gas, heartburn
Rants: I’m feeling my usual beginning of the semester anxiety, but I know that will go away once I get everything done for the first week of class next week. I have two new classes this semester, and since I adjunct at two different schools, naturally they use different systems for accessing course info online. So not only do I have to do normal professor prep, I need to learn a new online system. Ugh. No time for naps this week, so I ended up passing out at 8:30 last night!
Raves: we got the nursery fully painted over the weekend! My parents came out to help, and it looks great! Now we can start getting furniture and decorating!

Week/EDD: 17w 6d / June 20th
Baby is the size of: pomegranate
FTM, Etc: stm
Team: find out Jan 29th
Appointments: Jan 29th is our AS
Milestones: Feeling baby move more.
Symptoms: Emotional is currently all thank goodness!
Rants: I’m still stressed about where we will be living. After deciding to stay where we are, our landlord is now considering selling the house. Our lease is up Feb 28th, so we’re cutting it all close. I also have a cold that keeps holding on and in the last week my whole family has had a stomach bug—currently it is H who is trying to work while dealing with it and I feel so bad for him. At least when I had it we were at my in-laws and I could really just rest.
Raves: I have energy again and I have been really enjoying DS again (3 has been tough ya’ll).

Week/EDD: 16 weeks (tomorrow)
Baby is the size of: orange
FTM, Etc: TTM, 9 yo twins
Team: Green
Appointments: OB check on Friday
Milestones: I think I'm feeling movement - but I'm still not 100% sure
Symptoms: random nausea and sensitive to smells; mood swings, intestinal issues, cramping, and what I'm thinking is round ligament pain
Rants: I had some blood in the urine again on Friday and have had cramping off and on - though to be honest I can't always tell if it's cramps, intestinal issues or round ligament pains. I was told that if pain gets worse to go to ER, otherwise drink lots of water, no caffeine, and remain on pelvic rest. I am disappointed that I couldn't move up Friday's OB appointment just for peace of mind.
Raves: As I said before, I think that I'm feeling movement, but am not 100% sure. In other news - I had mentioned earlier this month that my sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She found out this week that it's a small neuroendocrine tumor that while malignant is not as aggressive and is slow growing. She shouldn't need chemo/radiation and for now they are going to monitor the tumor every three months. While she'll likely eventually need part of her pancreas/spleen removed, she's lucky that it was found this early and the prognosis is good.

Week/Edd: 24 weeks tomorrow! Edd may 9
Baby is the size of: a bunch of grapes
STM
Team: green
Appointments: first appointment with MFM on Monday
Milestones: viability tomorrow
Symptoms: Feeling like death after my work shifts but other than that I feel ok
Rants: Time is just crawling by until my MFM appointment. I'm so nervous and hoping my placenta has moved. It took us so long to get pregnant and I just want to enjoy the rest of the pregnancy. However I'm very glad that either way any complications shouldn't really cause any problems for the baby!
Raves: I've been doing so much organizing and cleaning and I'm beginning to feel ready to start preparing for this new baby. I've recently started folding clothes using the Kon Mari method and I've been amazed how much more room I have in my dressers. I should be able to fit all DDs clothes and the new baby's in the same dresser which is a relief. We definitely don't have room for another dresser!

Week/EDD: 21w 3d
Baby is the size of:
FTM, Etc: STM, DS1 is 2 in March
Team: Blue
Appointments: The 24th I think, with the MFM to check on the heart again, just to make sure everything is clear.
Milestones: I get to see kicks now, he does not like to be squished. He gets very squiggly if I have to squat, or bend for some reason. I'm also trying to remember to take bump pictures too.
Symptoms: Starting to feel large.
Rants: Just chasing a toddler
Raves: It's been more exciting the second time around, in a way. With DS1, I didn't have that 'love my baby even in the womb' feeling, I didn't really know what we were in for, what it would be like having my own child. This time, I love him, I'm excited to meet him, and watch him grow into a little personality.

quinstar, I have been the opposite this time around- I don’t feel as excited or “bonded” I guess partially bc I haven’t had as much time to really awe at what is happening like I did with ds and also bc I know how hard parenting is now and I’m a little scared. I feel like I just “found” myself again after 2.5-3yrs with DS and now we’re doing it again. Hopefully I’ve learned how be a parent now and this won’t be as hard as I’m fearing but I’m also nervous about not having as much time or energy to devote to DS.

Hopefully I’ve learned how be a parent now and this won’t be as hard as I’m fearing but I’m also nervous about not having as much time or energy to devote to DS. That makes a lot of sense, I totally understand how the first time you don't know what it'll be like, you just sort of assume you will figure it out. Knowing what is in store is different, you know it's really hard. I'm pretty nervous about a lot of the same things, but now it's like I know how hard it'll be, but I also know how wonderful it'll be. Now with two, it is a whole new world of difficulties, but I'm sure a bunch of new wonderfulness. But that's something I don't know yet, so I'm just enjoying knowing all the good stuff I didn't know with DS1 in advance. But, I'm a procrastinator worrier. I don't seem to get worried until right before it happens, lol. And then I panic big time.

@starzia, I feel you on this pregnancy being harder than my first. I don’t remember all these pains and random annoyances from my first... although H insists they were there. I thought it might actually be easier because I started 20lbs lighter than I was with my first.
Also, I’m sick of sleeping on my side too.

@starzia, I keep waking up on my back too. At least with the pregnancy pillow, I’m not ever flat on my back. It’s been hard to adjust, since I’m normally a stomach sleeper, but that got super uncomfortable really quickly!

Ugh, the sleeping on your side... With my pregnancy pillow I don't end up on my back at all, but I also don't move all night but maybe twice. The pain from sleeping in the same spot for so long wakes me up, like I'm getting a hot spot on my hip. I don't remember it being that bad last time.
