lahdeedah Yes, typically "selling" season is in the spring b/c like tgrimes said, most people are trying to move over the summer to avoid disrupting school. So I think you'll definitely have more luck as you approach Feb/March, whether you buy or rent, since schools down south are out in May or early early June. I'm keeping an eye on things down in FL and am starting to see new listings pop. Seems to me like the stuff that's hung on over the winter are people being unrealistic about the price. Maybe that is the case with some of the rentals, too (Limited inventory makes them think they can command a higher price tag?) I hope this is the case because even FL had better prices than this place. And the little square footage attached to these higher prices has me like  . I guess I need to just truly give it a rest until Late March early April. |

Canine influenza isn’t near as common as people flu but can be deadly and spreads quick in a group so it’s a good vaccine to get if your dog socializes with others.

tgrimes and jewels This is the first year that the kids have had their flu shots, so any kid under 9 get two doses, 4 weeks apart, their first year. Any year after this they get one. Poppy had two doses, also. And I get two, but that’s an outlier. Like vino, we’ve never had to show evidence of the flu shot for DC admission because it isn’t part of the routine schedule. We all still get them every year though, of course. |

Had the best Immunology appointment!
My labs are PERFECT. IV IG is working beautifully.
I only see this doctor every 3-6 months, so he’s like “tell me what’s been going on, Miss April? What are you doing to keep busy right now?”
I told him I’d gone back to school and he was thrilled with my choice of major and said it is just perfect for me. So sweet.

Hi!! Just caught up with yesterday and today xolastunicornxo I’m so sorry you are going through all this. Big hugs lady! cagoldi poor Miss P. Hope she’s feeling better soon. E just got her 2nd flu shot on Monday. Dexter has gotten a dog flu shot the past few years but we board him at least once a year and the place we use required it starting a few years ago. Work is crazy. I’m training someone for my spot on my old team. Because the current team is either too busy or too new. I’m not getting trainer rate for it either. |

So trigger warning** kidnapping attempt
The kids school emailed and there was attempted kidnapping in our part of the city at 5pm yesterday. A 6 yo girl was getting out of a carpool car and going to her house (city rowhome, so like 10ft) and a white woman with a fauxhawk grabbed her from behind, but the girl was able to get free. The driving mom was screaming and the girl apparently got in a fence and her mom let her in and then chased the lady but couldn't find her. WTAF.
We have campus security on extra detail for a few weeks, but she hasn't been caught. Going to have a stranger danger talk again tonight. That poor girl and family, thank goodness she was able to get free.

I've been in a rut lately and just feeling like I'm kind of floating along in life and not living it. Nothing in particular bad going on. I need to win the lotto. Last night Cass told me her day "was a total crapfest."  I wonder where she heard that from. Whoops. And what constitutes as a crapfest day for a 5 yo? Bonking her booty on the teeter-totter. |

cagoldi I’m so happy you got a good report! xolastunicornxo I’m sorry your mom is struggling and your dealing with puke at the same time. I hope you hear something soon. lahdeedah YH needs to make friends with coworkers with children who can help you with schools. It must be hard, on paper, my kid’s schools are terrible but for the most part, we are happy. I went to bed at 8:30 last night and still didn’t get enough sleep. Everything I read on sleep training focuses on going to bed. C is totally fine with that and for like 4 hours after I put him down. Then he’s up every 30 minutes. My good news of the day is I’m wearing a regular, pre-pregnancy bra today and it feels amazing. I’m going to attempt not nursing my once a day today and just be done.

Today I finally took T to Dave and Busters as I have been promising, his reward for giving up night pull ups. He wanted to eat in the mall food court after. The table next to us was 3 boys I would have guessed were cutting school who were loudly swearing. I ignored it but when they left, one of them left his garbage on the table. T goes “the boys who were talking with not nice words are also rude slobs.”
