Happy Friday everyone. I am counting down the hours till I can start my weekend. Q slept for the first time no swaddle (we had been doing arms out swaddle) and he did so well.
Also solids have been going well but I think we need a better highchair (we just have a portable one right now) any recommendations?

Yay for no swaddle ambiguousmango! For high chairs, we have the portable ones that clip onto the table too. The only on that fits in our dinning room is the Chico one. We have the inglesina at my in-laws and it's a superior chair with a tray. The mountain buggy is a no frills light option that we tried (didn't fit) and we gave to my parents to use when we visited. No recs for standalone ones though since we've never had one. I had my eye on the one from Boon though for its looks, but we didn't have the space. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chill day over here. It's rainy and swampy so no outside fun. ambiguousmango I have the fisher price space saver high chair. It reclines a little bit which is nice for the younger ages. It serves its purpose. But I can't wait to get rid of it. But I think I'm just team hate all the highchairs and baby devices. I cannot wait till they can sit at the table in a regular chair.

Cleaners are here! I'm looking forward to enjoying my clean house for approximately 4 more hours before the DH/DD tornado touches down.

I slept three hours. B had a really rough night. He woke up his usual two times but it took hours for him to fall back asleep both times. So, if DS asks for 'one more show', I will oblige.

E woke up at 4 had a bottle but went right back to sleep. I also notice if she ends up on her tummy and can't get back she just gets comfortable and sleeps instead of crying. I got the best video of E's giggles yesterday with my mom!!! It makes me smile!

No shame in that heybulldog. You definitely earned yourself a chill day after your night. I hope B gets his sleep act together soon.

Baby giggles are the best peaseblossom55! So far only ds can get dd to giggle. I managed to get it in tape but I'm still jealous she won't giggle for me or mh.

ambiguousmango, We don't have a stand alone highchair, only one of the ones that straps onto a regular chair and I have no idea the brand since we picked it up at a garage sale. But I really like the Chico highschairs; both sets of grandparents have that one and it folds up nice for storing if you don't have a lot of space to leave it out.

@ambiguous mango my dream high chair is the Stokke Trip Trap but instead we have a Fischer Price Space Saver that we use on a kitchen chair. It's great for when they're tiny but DS outgrew it quickly and now uses a Fisher Price Healthy Care as a booster at the table. Glad to hear you had success with dropping the swaddle!

Guys. It's been a day and it's only 1. Apologies for the massive complaints ahead. I've been planning to send M to daycare today and take DS to his 2 year old checkup then run errands for the party. M was up from 3am on crying so I assumed she had an ear infection. Kept her home and took her to DS's appt where we found out it's "just" another cold. Not terrible news but now she's home for the day and really cramping my style since I need to get my house ready to host out unplanned in home party. Took DS to an indoor bounce play place to wear him out and he had a blast. But then we got in the car and he chugged a bunch of water and then puked all over himself/the car seat. So I'm spending naptime taking the car seat apart and cleaning that. I'm also having to pump all day and give M the bottles I made for daycare bc the bottles are half milk from the freezer that I would have to toss if I don't feed it to her today since its defrosted. I'm losing it dealing with their crap on no sleep.
Some days, the mom of 2 little kids thing isn't so bad. And then there's days like today. Really finishing out my 2 under 2 streak strong!

Both kids are napping and I really want to lay down but I'm doing the responsible thing and getting all the dinner prep done. I'm browning the meat for the stuffed peppers now. I know I'll appreciate it later when I only have to pop them in the oven during the kid's witching hour as opposed to trying to cook with screaming kids but sighs.

Yesterday I went on a late afternoon grocery outing because ds' vitamin prescription was filled. I bought wine, tampons, and ice cream sandwiches. I felt like a walking billboard for motherhood and periods.

I hate soda but I bought one from the vending machine at work because I saw it had the name Maggie and I wanted that soda bottle. Sigh.

Pretty sure the sleep regression hit us late. C is a mess today but will not nap for more than 15 minutes. She's been up since 530 am. I'm. So. Tired.
Also sorry for being a drive by poster. But I'm still here

My day went up from the low point of cleaning the car seat puke. My mom took DS for the afternoon and then decided to keep him overnight until the party tomorrow. H came home early and we even on a cleaning spree and got the house in order for the party. Now we wait for the rain and hope it moves through quickly overnight! Sorry for being such a downer today!

Sorry, I hope it's not the same for you. I still haven't dropped the swaddle. I tried, but she will not fall asleep then except in my arms, and when I put her down she lasted maybe 10 mins. Luckily she has 0 interest in rolling. Kicking, squirming, sitting and standing yes. Rolling, not at all. Last night she slept from 8-130am, then was up every 2 hours. Sigh.
