Hi Ladies! Is our board dying? There hasn't been much action...
I've been stuck with sick kids which has felt like forever. I cannot deal with the rest of Winter! Oof..
How is everyone? How are the kiddos?!

The kids and I are sick, cranky human beings today. Luckily DH’s work closed for the day (thanks snow) and L is napping on him right now. DS is making me fake enthusiasm for his LEGOs.
Honestly the combo of the needy 4 year old and teething 1 year old has been super difficult for me lately. I am not doing my best, but trying to turn it around.

J is so needy right now. The last 4 nights he has been up multiple times. He is so qhiney and throwing tantrums left and right every time we say no and its exhausting. We had our forst major in public tantrum at the mall last night. Man do I hope this is just leap 10 but we have pike 20 days to go. Also, j has been pooping white the last few days so that is stressing me out too. jt2378 pennylane. Sorry you guys have sick kids. I hope they are better soon.

Yes I just keep telling myself this behavior has to be leap related and not the new norm 😬 Did you call the dr about the poop? I would, especially if it’s been going on a few days.

king26 I know this will sound weird but my sister who runs a daycare always talks about the weird white poop the babies who eat curry have, any chance you all had curry recently? Sorry I have been MIA I finally had a baby. Little girl had to be evicted like her big sister, only J came on his own! I will post details on the private board and pics later.

Omg yellowcat congrats!! We’re on vacation. Travel day and night was a disaster for sleep and nps for N. I’m not looking forward to our return travel day. So far, so good for the most part. Some epic blowouts with clean ups at the gas stations on the side of the drive, it was hilarious and awful. Another one this morning at breakfast. We need to find a laundromat bc this hotel doesn’t have laundry machines. We were going to go to an indoor play space today buuut I’m ready now (10:25) and dh gets out in less than an hour and he can’t drive to meet us there bc I have the rental car, so maybe tomorrow. Eating out every meal is exhausting. I don’t know how people with multiple kids do it! N is great but exhausting. Dh is around from 11:30 - 5, which is nice except N naps from 1:30-3:30 so we can’t do a lot of fun stuff during that time. Dh says I can go off on my own but really I just want to nap. Sleep or me time? Sleep almost always wins. He is hesitant about snow. He doesn’t like getting his shoes dirty so when we walk through snow he’s like ahhhhh. But he finally let us play in the snow a bit yesterday and by the end he kind of liked it. I hope the sickness stops for everyone soon. And the white poop for J king26.

Yay yellowcat. So exciting! Congrats. king26, my boys always poop white after a minor stomach bug, even if they haven't been puking. Freaks me out every time. Could be worth a call to the pediatrician just for peace of mind. pennylane. Sorry for the frustration, but it makes me feel better that my four year old isn't the only needy one. He needs either constant direction from a parent or a screen. No independent play here.

Toddler h was up from about midnight to 2 this morning. It took me awhile to realize that dh had put him into a fleece sleep sack and he was too hot. Ugh.

addymac, I’m sorry it’s been a frustrating trip so far. Traveling with kids this young is a crapshoot. I hope it turns around and the trip home is smoother. jt2378, I’ve been held captive by the Jayme Clossman thread the past few days. Trying to come up from air. Lol

So, MH works 7 on and 7 off. He picked up a shift the day before his own week started. Not a big deal, but on his next 7 off he’s taking a snowboarding trip with friends.
Y’all, I’m going to be solo parenting for 23 days straight. I’m trying not too think of it too much. Kinda just put my head down and get thru the days. But omg. I’m insane for letting this happen.

I’ll utilize the gyms daycare while I work out, but he can only handle about 90 mins of that currently. We’re working on the separation anxiety. Lol

I’m glad you at least get 90min a day! We are going skiing on Friday and we paid for N to be in daycare. It wasn’t until after we paid the non refundable fee that I realized he’s never been away from us or Gloria and he’s probably going to freak out and meltdown and I won’t be able to ski. I’m hoping he surprises me but idk. I’m panicking. 🤦🏻♀️

I’ve literally been using fruit snacks as a distraction for when I leave the daycare. Maybe you could have the daycare people give him a snack that he loves?

I got a 24 hour stomach flu yesterday. I ended up leaving work at 12:30 and puked at 1pm. H still went to work last night and then was pissed when he had to get up at 6:30 with the kids. He thought maybe I wasn’t as sick as I was and I didn’t ask him to stay home - I said “you’re really going to work?” Dude, how did you think I’d feel after puking and shitting for like 12 hours? He did the same think two years ago when I had the same thing, but I was worse off.
I finally feel normal-ish, so now I’m just hoping no one else gets it.

addymac Toys and kids? He’ll love it. He might cry at first, but that can be normal - give it a go.

Anyone still nursing here? I really need to think about starting to wean, but he really does not seem to be ready at all. I need to just deal with the tantrums that will happen, but it sounds overwhelming.
I was really praying he’d begin to wean himself, but he’d still nurse 5+ times a day if I let him.

So tomorrow I have to drop DD1 off at preschool with J and baby C. The director is going to help but I am a little nervous about my first day out with three little ones.
I hope the stomach bug is gone for everyone, we had it between Xmas and New year's it was awful...
I posted pics on the private board. So far she is my best sleeper!
