Radley Sorry to hear about DS aspirating. You are right - at least it's good to know for sure so now you guys can come up with a plan. Hope the next steps go smoothly!

Radley I'm so glad that you were able to find out about the aspiration now. I'm sure it's scary and overwhelming, but now you know what you are working with and your plan will help keep him safe.

littlelion he is a little over 2. He will sort of outgrow it. He has had oral problems since birth. He had a tongue tie that was clipped late and by the time it was clipped he could only get one ounce in a feeding session and required therapy to learn to to take a bottle and nurse effectively. So we knew there was a chance he would later have difficulty with eating and speech. So far he is scoring average and above average in speech categories so that is good. The "sort of outgrow it" comes from the fact that he may need therapy to help him grow out of it, rather than having the instincts most children do. gooselover2012 thanks! It took me a couple months to finally get them to schedule it so I'm so glad to be able to move forward. billmurray thank you. He is doing ok. It's difficult to watch him struggle with meals at times and I'm glad he's getting help. Taitai thank you! I hope so too. I would like to move forward quickly and thankfully they have given us instructions on how to help him while we're waiting on the eval. budders thank you so much. It's definitely scary, and I worry especially when he drinks. They are sending us simply thick to add to his liquids so that will help!
