Sitting in my NST so figured it couldn’t hurt to start this!
Weeks pregnant: 37+3
Baby is the size of a: honeydew/romaine lettuce/skunk
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: green
Appointments: NST followed by OB visit today, and again next Monday
Symptoms: heartburn has returned after a random 3-day reprieve. Discharge, low back pain, BH (sometimes with mild cramping). Peeing more frequently than I ever have, in this or previous pregnancies. Trouble sleeping because of peeing and body temperature issues.
Milestones: as of last Friday I am within the “term” window!
Rants/Raves/Vents: it’s cute how excited the nurses get when I tell them I don’t know if baby is a boy or girl 😆
Not as cute: my FIL being convinced that DH and I know the sex because we had so many extra ultrasounds. We don’t! Honestly once the babies get beyond 28 weeks they’re cramped enough that it actually gets hard to tell even if you wanted to. You’d think someone who fathered 5 kids would know this 🙄
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I was (/am?) good at drawing and wanted to be a Disney animator. Probably a good thing that didn’t work out because it’s all on computers now anyway!

Weeks pregnant: 33w2d
Baby is the size of a: Head of celery
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Belly check on the 17th. I wonder if the OB can tell which way baby is oriented?
Symptoms: Tired, swollen, pain at night, peeing all the time, heartburn. Feeling so over it.
Milestones: Too swollen to put on rings this morning for the first time.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Physically and mentally, I am ready for baby to be here. But in terms of practical concerns (setting up the nursery which requires DD's stuff to be moved to the new room, potty training, getting stuff settled at work) I am really far behind. Basically I'm fed up and over it, but panicking a little, too.
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Veterinarian. Then I got a job at as a kennel worker, and saw some surgery, and realized it wasn't for me.

Weeks pregnant: 32 + 4
Baby is the size of a: huge ass squash (4 lb 15 oz at growth scan Friday)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ftm
Team: secret
Appointments: OB today... Checking in here to resist the incredible urge to lay down and sleep while waiting for the Dr!
Symptoms: breathless, racing heart, hip pain, peeing, nausea is back
Milestones: my sis is a doc and all along said she'd feel way better once baby got to 32 weeks. Here we are!
Rants/Raves/Vents: adulting is hard when you're large and lumbering and exhausted all the time.... But a rave that my vag/vulva swelling and soreness have calmed down enough to have a little adult fun this past week. Thank you Jesus.
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Teacher (and I did! Plus planning to home school for mostly educational reasons, probably the thing I'm most excited about when it comes to parenting.)

Weeks pregnant: 38
Baby is the size of a: spaghetti squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: green
Appointments: Wednesday
Symptoms: cranky-don’t want to be at work and my scheduler and person who deals with insurance are not making it easy for me to stay up to date on my paperwork.
I’m feeling okay physically-nothing really new.
Milestones: everything is ready!
Rants/Raves/Vents: so excited to meet this baby, but a little sad and anxious that this is our last and wondering how our family dynamic will change. trying not to be too disappointed if I have to be induced again.
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I had no idea, all I knew was that I wanted to be a mom, as cheesy as that sounds!

Weeks pregnant: 35
Baby is the size of a: Pineapple
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Boy
Appointments: Ultrasound tomorrow
Symptoms: Not sleeping, so much back and rib pain, irritability, heartburn, random nausea and upset stomach.
Milestones: My midwife is licensed from 35 weeks on. I managed to get two meals in the freezer! So hopefully I can keep working on that.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I am just so cranky and miserable. I am really stressed about finances and getting my house in order, and overall really struggling to feel prepared. I feel bad for my children because I am just a bear right now.
QOTW: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always thought I would be a teacher.

Weeks pregnant: 35 and 5
Baby is the size of a: pineapple
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue
Appointments: NST this morning went well have another on Thursday.
Symptoms: at this point I’m just tired and uncomfortable. I have awful RLS some nights and I can’t fall asleep.
Milestones: almost to full term!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: we did our hospital tour yesterday and the hospital is HUGE. It’s a giant hospital that only treats babies. We are pretty much ready for him to come at this point as far as having everything ready. But internally I’m scared. I’m scared of labor and delivery. I can’t even imagine it like any day now I have to get this little person out!! I guess it’s just so much unknown how it will all go down it’s making me so anxious!
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A lawyer until I got old enough to understand the time and cost involved!

Weeks pregnant: 33+4
Baby is the size of a: Ferret
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink!
Appointments: Growth ultrasound last week went well, A is in the 15th%. Regular check up this Friday.
Symptoms: Mostly just so many pains. Hip and SPD stuff, mostly. Work is getting harder to keep up with and I slipped a few times on some icy patches this morning that has most likely caused a lot of today's pain. All the BH and of course, occasional cramping. Insomnia in the middle of the night sucks, too. I also feel like I'm peeing 100x more than my last two pregnancies so this sucks.
Milestones: A month and a half away from her arrival and I have SO MUCH TO DO.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Read the above. Seriously, though. My goals before she gets here include getting the kids room painted and reorganized, baby stuff washed, and getting freezer meals finished. Getting the playroom done would be a bonus.
QOTW: As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Which time? Lol For the longest time, I wanted to be a jockey until I discovered my lack of desire to be hyper focused on my weight and overall fitness. Then, I couldn't decide between a marine biologist specializing in orca research or a horse trainer. Went the horse route and I'm still not doing it as a career.

Weeks pregnant: 34+1
Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: I had one scheduled for this Friday but my Uncle passed away and his funeral is Friday so I rescheduled for next Monday.
Symptoms: Heartburn, random upset stomach twice in the last week, RLP mostly when moving in bed at night, tons of BH, really tight/uncomfortable belly some evenings, swollen feet is a new one for me.
Milestones: We’re about halfway done with the nursery and washing/putting away baby clothes if that counts?
Rants/Raves/Vents: We still haven’t chosen a name for baby girl. We have 3 top names (Lucy, Lila, and Alice) but I’m pretty sure we’ll be waiting until we meet her to choose. So different from my pregnancy with DD, we knew her name around 13 weeks and never looked back.
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A veterinarian

cch, we don't have a name yet either. We have one choice and a list of 6 or so ideas, but nothing feels like the name. I am trying not to panic!

We don’t have a name either. We have a list of ones we like and we are going to decide once he’s born. Hopefully MH and I agree on what he looks like!

Weeks pregnant: 36 +3
Baby is the size of a: chihuahua
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: stm
Team: green- although right about now it would be convenient to know whether to donate girl clothes or sort through them...
Appointments: well I thought I had one Monday, but it’s actually Friday #pregnancy brain
Symptoms: feeling bigger, tougher to move, gassy, lightening symptoms which I guess is a good sign but take my breath away
Milestones: is feeling like a ticking time bomb a milestone?
Rants/Raves/Vents: rave- still in shock and grateful to be gifted a solid stock of supplies at my surprise sprinkle
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor. At some point the whole mortality thing became a huge barrier so I stuck with healthcare, but went route of PT which is way more up my alley

Weeks pregnant: 34 + 2
Baby is the size of a: Cantaloupe
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: BPP on Thursday
Symptoms: I was so hoping to avoid it this time around, but The Rash is returning. Around this time with DS, I became covered in severely itchy, hive-like welts from my ribs to my hips. My former OB said it was "just hormonal," so we'll see if this doc has any other insight to offer. Otherwise, peeing every 30 minutes, waddling, swelling, lots of BH.
Milestones: 34 weeks!
Rants/Raves/Vents: This high-protein diet is a bit of an adjustment for my stomach. And I gained four pounds last week. While I'm not thrilled with this, every ounce is 100% worth it for this tiny IUGR babe.
QOTW: as a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A mommy, a teacher, or a doctor depending on how old I was when you asked me.

cch I’m sorry about your uncle. CharlieB that rash does not sound delightful at all We were still discussing boy names last night as we packed for the hospital. Narrowed it down to two and I think we decided on one about 2 hours before he was born lol We ended up going with my name so I told DH the next kid is his to choose 😆
