Weeks pregnant/Due date: 28 and 5 days, Due March 27
Baby is the size of a: winter squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: pink!
Appointments: 2/1/19
Symptoms: super insomnia, I got a sound machine to see if that would help me not wake up at every little thing and it does to a point. Pelvic pain is ramping up again late last week after being pretty mild since last month.
Milestones: finally got to the rhogam shot and it wasn't as bad as I was anticipating
Rants/Raves/Vents: failed the 1 hour GD and now have to wait for my doc to order my 3 hour and hopefully do it tomorrow. Very nervous about the outcome and really hoping that I don't fail again.
Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like: really have to take one this week. I haven't taken a pic since Christmas

Thanks pambee. On the positive, he can't ever sit still so now he's in the baby's room putting together furniture on the floor, lol.

lemondrop, oh wow, that sounds so terrible! I'm sorry he's in so much pain and that it's going to make a financial burden on you. I know the anxiety is particularly hard to get through.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 29w4d RSC March 14
Baby is the size of a: Barbie convertible
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Next week I see the high risk dr for a scan and regular OB appt I think...
Symptoms: Hormones are back to being out of control. Body is starting to feel achy a lot, and I feel giant (even though I know I have a long way to go). I'm hungry ALL THE TIME. My total weight gain pretty much doubled at my last appointment, which wasn't a surprise with the holidays and how much I've been eating, but woof. I need to get some healthier snacks but all I want to eat are chips and dips!!
Milestones: We're in the single digit weeks until he's here! And my doctor confirmed I passed my 1hr GD test last week so that's good.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Just hormones, as I elaborated on in the randoms. And this weekend I found out (from the FB invite...) that I'm having a joint baby shower with my cousin. That no one mentioned to me at all, let alone asked if I wanted or needed OR was even available the day of. It was the weirdest thing and because of a few reasons I'm not excited about it but I'm trying really hard not to be so negative and ungrateful about it. I really DON'T need it though, so I feel awkward about the whole thing. I live in the Midwest where a lot of "etiquette rules" aren't followed so strictly (lol), but even still there are a lot of things about this in particular that are rubbing me the wrong way and I don't really like being associated with it, even though I didn't have a say in any of it. So. Should be interesting 🤦♀️

pambee, so they just made the date and put you on it too? That's so odd! We also live in the Midwest and our friends basically demanded that they give us a diaper party and they also got gifts too. I would not like to be told that I'm getting a shower when I wasn't consulted either.

I would not like to be told that I'm getting a shower when I wasn't consulted either. Yep. And created the facebook invite late at night so I didn't even see it until the next morning and "guests" had already rsvp'd. Literally no mention to me about it at ALL before that, not even that it was an idea. I did tell my aunt (who decided to do this) that I really only needed diapers, because she also put in the event that I needed "all things baby boy!" which isn't true at all. Just so odd.

pambee, that just made my eye start twitching. WTF?!! What if you were traveling or had something else going on that day? I mean, it's nice of them to include you, and of course complaining would make it look like you were ungrateful, but a heads up is kind of a necessary requirement.

We DO have somewhere to be at 4 that day, and the "shower" is at 1, so hopefully it's not long because I have to leave by 3 🤷♀️ My cousin also knew about it apparently (and wants it, despite having a 16mo boy and pregnant with another boy...) so I'm not sure why I'm the one who got to be out of the loop.

Baby is the size of a: Acorn Squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: 1/14 then I will be starting the appointments every 2 weeks
Symptoms: insomnia, waddling, thinking twice about bending over when something hits the floor, and breathlessness
Rants/Raves/Vents: I feel so huge...how do I still have 12 more weeks? And so much baby to grow. Damn you stomach muscles for being so weak after being stretched 2 times before.

jewelsofthenile I laughed out loud at thinking twice about picking things up from the floor 😂 I have found it very convenient to have E around to pick everything up for me, ha! Unless I'm sitting on the floor already....It's likely just going to stay there otherwise.

pambee I feel you on the baby shower thing. No discussion of it is just super odd. But my MIL hosted a sprinkle for me over Christmas and I felt the same way about receiving gifts. We don’t really need a whole lot, and she asked me to make a registry in like 2 hours. Now I have 8,000 burp cloths and 10 bouncer seats. At least it was just aunts, cousins and SILs.

I am thinking that it's just going to be a hassle because I know people will still buy me other things that I don't need and I'll just have to return. Which makes me sound so ungrateful again, but sigh.

pambee The one thing I really needed is newborn clothes (I borrowed everything the first go ‘round), but I’m picky about clothes (zipper vs snap etc) and everything I like is $$$ new and then all the cheaper stuff was still winter fleece, which isn’t helpful either. But yes, it was kind of everyone to buy us gifts and include gift receipts.... and I’ve now purchased a bunch of newborn clothing from eBay.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 25+5 / April 17
Baby is the size of a: head of kale
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Boy
Appointments: Thursday
Symptoms: constant peeing, back pain, RLP, slowing down, feeling huge and uncomfortable and how do I still have 3 months left I'm going to be the size of my house.
Milestones: N/A
Rants/Raves/Vents: I had a breakdown on Saturday. I was feeling huge, uncomfortable, tired and cranky. My daughter was being a hellion and I just lost my shit about how we're going to handle two children. H took pity on my and took DD to the playground so she could run off her excess energy and I could take a nap. I felt much better after that.

pambee, that is so strange! Thankfully no one has offered me a shower but I would feel uncomfortable if one was sprung on my unexpectedly too. I have a private Amazon registry so we can keep track of what we need, but we have SO MUCH baby boy clothing that I'm going to probably be returning anything additional that we get unless it is size 6 months+.

lemondrop, your poor H! Hope his foot heals soon. pambee amd others, I feel you on the shower stuff. I had some friends offer to do a sprinkle and struggled with feeling like a jerk for asking for more stuff. I did request that they put "hand me downs welcome!" On the invite. Like I would love of people wrapped up baby clothes that they are done with! Two birds, one stone amd all that. I have an amazon registry, but it was supposed to be mostly for registry completion discounts... it's the more expensive items, anyway.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 29w1d, delivery scheduled for March 4
Baby is the size of a: butternut squash/15 inches long
FTM/STM/TTM/etc:STM/TTM (twins)
Team: 💙💙
Appointments: next week I'll have a doppler ultrasound check and 30 week appt.
Symptoms: Feeling huge and somewhat panicky on how I'm going to manage work, commuting, daycare pickup, dinner, etc. for the next 2 months. My fundal height is already 39 weeks, so I'm the size of a full term lady.
Milestones: Passed my GD test!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Posted in the decor thread, but a former colleague/friend gave us two matching cribs for free that her kids have outgrown. It was so generous of her. My H started putting them together and I feel like finally progress is being made! Our painter also said he could come next week so we're picking out colors this weekend.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 24+1 April 28
Baby is the size of a: GI joe doll?
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: not until the end of the month
Symptoms: emotional. Very emotional😂 my DD (3.5) called a kicker in yesterday’s football game a doofus and I cried. I mean that word is not acceptable in our house but I was crying because I felt bad for the kicker and his emotions and how he has a mama out there who just wants the best... I could go on it was pathetic😂 we also had to leave a hockey game because I couldn’t handle the fighting. I’m typically like this to an extent but not THIS bad lol.
Milestones: nursery is done and everything just needs washed. We need a few more things but we could survive on just a good online order lol. I didn’t get to finish everything with DD before bed rest so I felt like I needed to hurry and get it all out and cleaned of what I did have
Rants/Raves/Vents: I posted in randoms but this going from 1-2 just seems so hard I’m worried I’m not going to be able to keep up. Latley DD has been wearing me out with just her. I’m hoping it’s jsut because I’m pregnant but of course I can’t logilcally know that. Also if people could stop telling me that I’m SOO small and “is there even a baby in there?!” That would be great 😑 mind your own bellies people.

Rants/Raves/Vents: we got our car seat today. Totally geeked out and set it all up. Things are getting really real!

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 28+2, eviction around 3/16.
Baby is the size of a: pair of rollerblades
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM having twins
Team: double blue
Appointments: Tomorrow with hematologist to determine if I for sure need IV infusions for Iron or not. OB appoint on Wed I think?
Symptoms: extremely tired, forgetful, sore, insomnia, headache today
Milestones: hit 3rd trimester with twins! Up until the last week, I felt like this pregnancy was easier than my daughters. Now, not so much.
Rants/Raves/Vents: My mom group threw me and another friend who is due end of Feb a joint sprinkle. Completely unexpected but appreciated. Today was first day back to work and my co-teacher told me they are starting to plan a work shower. I suggested a meet the baby lunch instead, so we'll see.

nmom a lot of days I wonder how I'm going to do anything with 2 kids too, but I figure I'll just start with small easy trips and work up to bigger adventures like the zoo. You know, it'll be terrible to wander through Target a few times to get used to going out I'm just trying to have low expectations and not push myself! I have a friend who's second is about 1.5 now but for a long time she didn't like to leave the house with both kids unless she had someone else, but now she goes out all the time. So I think it's helpful to know that it might (probably) be overwhelming at first but we'll get the hang of it!

Sorry your H got into poison ivy lemondrop! I got it one time, and I got a med called Zanfel (from Walgreen’s I think). It’s expensive, but it works. The best part is that you rub it in to the poison ivy until it doesn’t itch any more. It’s amazing! I hope you pass your 3 hour glucose test remi! Umm...that’s very strange that they didn’t ask you about the daye pambee.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 32 weeks/ March 6
Baby is the size of a:
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: OB this morning
Symptoms: nesting like mad
Milestones: every week is a week closer!
Rants/Raves/Vents: spent 3 hours at the hospital today after my OB appt showed Baby was having a prolonged tachycardia episode (heart rate is too fast). He didn’t impress them at the NST and I was thisclose to being admitted for the night but he did a ten minute stretch at a lower though still not ideal heart rate and they let me go. I’m nervous because tachycardia can be a symptom for the baby when mom is in ketosis, and I have been in ketosis for weeks. I’m frustrated with my endo and plan to really blow off steam about how I feel like he is doing a poor job managing my care. I think I will also call my OB tomorrow just to hear him weigh in on my NST results because the OB on call wasn’t very communicative about what was going on.

Zanfel didn't work for him Neither does Mean Green, which is similar (I think Zanfel actually uses Mean Green in their ingredients), or Calamine. The only thing that kind of does is Domeboro, but it's so drying that it just transfers one kind of itch to another. Thankfully the swelling has come down so he can walk normally, but he still can't put a shoe on without pain, and his body is sending welts now to other places on his body (stomach, neck, butt). Poor guy, I feel so awful for him. We ended up tossing his old boots and buying him brand new ones and a better waterproofing spray and wax.
