Currently I can hear the baby running the extra paci across the crib bars like a jailbird instead of actually going to sleep. And he’s figured out how to go from laying to sitting so he keeps sitting up too. At this rate he’ll neber go to bed😳

DS2 is being a real turd with nursing of late. He just refuses to nurse during the day except before naps. Yesterday he only nursed at 8am, 1pm, 5pm. Then twice during the night. I am very keen to see where he is percentile wise at his check up next week. I don’t think he’s going to want to nurse past 1 year though which is a bit of a relief. I don’t think I can nurse him as long as I did DS1 (who was obsessed with nursing- I weaned when he started saying “mmm boobs yummy mummy” at 20 months because no.

Does anyone else’s baby still not have teeth? My daughter got her first one at 5m and O turns 9m on Friday and NADA! 8 months, still nothing here. DD1 got a bunch at 7months.

All I picture is a baby inmate - “nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen...”

I'm so tired it hurts. Like I don't know what exactly hurts (my head? my skin? my muscles) but I am so tired I can't see straight.
I got maybe 4 collective hours of sleep last night. It was the third night of the same, since DH left town for a business trip, and by midnight I was just sobbing while holding L and sending DH pathetic text messages.
He's home today and my plan is pretty much NyQuil and bed as soon as I get home tonight.

L does this thing where he buries his head in my neck/shoulder when I’m holding him. I think he’s cuddling with me and it’s really adorable... until he bites my shoulder. Or he comes up with a handful or mouthful of my hair. L does this thing where he bites my chin. It started with him sucking on it when he was really little but now that he has teeth it hurts. If I am holding him he will grab my face to bring it closer to him to do.

I have been back at work for a week and I don't know how I am going to survive longer days in the next few months. L still constantly wakes at night when he rolls from stomach to back. He sleeps on his stomach but refuses to roll back to tummy so once he rolls he screams for us. It happens like every hour it seems. If we do CIO he will just roll to his back and never sleep. We are kind of at a loss for what to do 10 hour days are going to be horrible even when I can work some of those hours at night at home if I can barely get enough sleep now.

How much water do you guys give your babies per day? N loves water and I've been letting her drink around 4oz per day. She had her 9 month appt yesterday but I forgot to ask her doctor if that was too much.

mintyblueair, maybe 8 ounces total. She's been drinking more this week due to her cold and also because she figured out the straw cup. It isn't interfering at all with formula or solid intake so I don't really set a limit on it. Maybe I should. Filing that one down to ask, too

She uses a straw Cup, too, so it's easy for her to chug. I don't know if there should be a limit, but I got contradictory info when I googled... Thanks for the response!

Shes so happy and cheerful and yet a total problem child 😂

calendula, I hope you feel better! mintyblueair, calendula, what cups are you guys using? We have been trying straw cups from Munchkin for a few months now and I still don't think N actually gets any water. BUT, N clapped yesterday!! In like, the cutest way possible. She was in her crib and started crying so I went up to check on her. But before I did, I had to hang something so I wasn't facing her. Then I heard this little noise and I was like "WTH is that?" so I turned around and there she was, clapping with the biggest smile on her face like "Yay you came!" THE BEST.

ArielMermaid, that's hilarious 😂 cornpop, we actually use the munchkin weighted straw Cup most of the time. She also likes the nuk soft spout one, but definitely drinks the most from the straw.

Poking my head in here. How is my LO 9 months already? Got 4 little teeth, loving solids, still hates tummy time, and is finally sitting up on hs own. No crawling yet.
He's a much different sleeper than his sister. No pacifier unless it's me and he doesn't sttn, still waking multiple times a night to nurse so we co-sleep so I can survive.

the puking stopped around 3 yesterday afternoon and i am cautiously optimistic that the rest of us are in the clear. i’m not sending her to school today so she can get some good rest before we leave on our trip tomorrow! i’m behind with packing and cleaning but my mom is coming over to entertain the girls so i can get some stuff done!
in other news dd2 is starting to pull herself up more and more. it also seems as if she is determined to just stand up from sitting which is hilarious- lots of downward dog poses happening.

It’s the ear infection that never ends! 2 months and 4 rounds of antibiotics... it just won’t GTFO. Rocephin injection this morning at the pedi, another tomorrow, then back for a check on Tuesday. We already have an ENT appointment next week for follow up after the cleft procedure, so we’ll talk tubes then I guess.

Sorry to hear about sick babies. I hope that passes soon for everyone.
E mastered the stairs this week and I haven't got a gate yet. She's obsessed and I can't keep her away. If she goes towards them or I catch her already on them and then call her, she laughs and tries to go faster.

We are on our 3rd round of antibiotics in the last 2-3 months. This one Omnicef has been the worst with regards to dirty diapers. We have an appointment to get L’s ears looked at early February. If the ear (it is only his left ear) still has infection we will likely be getting an ENT referral to discuss tubes.

We had more blowouts in that 10 days than in his whole life so far. One day he went through all 3 sets of extra clothes I had at daycare. I hope you’re almost done with with omnicef and his ears clear up soon!
