So we haven't done one of these since 18 months. Most of the babies (toddlers) are around 2 years + 2 months, so lets have a 2ish year check in.

Height - 35 inches
Weight - 28lbs
Clothing/diaper size - some 18-24, mostly 2T / just finishing up a pack of 5s, probably moving to 6s or pull ups
Milestones - the last of his 2nd molars finally broke through, thank goodness. He's talking soooo much these days, and can sing his ABCs (with help). He's showing interest in toilet training but fighting me on REALLY doing it. Like last night I tried to get him to pee before getting in the bath and he lay on the floor almost crying "nooo I don't want to". So I put him in thr tub. A few minutes later he gets this evil grin, stands up, pushes his hips forward, and starts peeing in the tub. So clearly he could tell he needed to pee, just refused to do it in the toilet.
Likes - kid loves to eat. But only when its what HE wants to eat. He does everything his brother does, whether that's lying on the floor acting a fool, or sitting at the table doing homework. Likes going for walks on mommy's back. Likes watching Trolls and Bob The Train.
Dislikes - when mom doesn't pick him up. Dislikes any food that he didn't specifically request. Dislikes big brother going to school. Dislikes staying on his own chair during mealtimes. Dislikes getting his teath brushed. Dislikes being told what to do.

Height - at 2yrs he was 37.5 inches so I think he’s probably around 38inches.
Weight - 32lbs
Clothing/diaper size - 3T and size 5 diapers
Milestones - no 2 year molars yet. He knows his colors and a good majority of his body parts. He will repeat a word if you ask him to, he can just about count to 10, doesn’t know the ABC’s yet, but can speak in 2-3 word sentences. I want to work on PTing but every time I ask he says no. But he always tells me when he’s about to poop so he can recognize when he needs to go. He’s also starting to mock me. He’ll stand up on the couch and say “get down now!” and laughs because I always tell him that when he stands up on the couch.
Likes - music. He always stops what he’s doing and starts dancing when he hears music. He loves to sing songs. His favorite foods are whatever mom is eating, and pickles, tomatoes, cheese, and raw peppers. He loves sleeping with me. He loves when I hold him. He loves to snuggle. Basically he’s a stage 5 clinger.
Dislikes - when I put him down, diaper changes, sleeping through the night, not getting his way (he bites). He’s very strong willed and doesn’t like hearing the word no. He’s basically a sour patch kid - he can be so sour but then so sweet the next minute.

Height - 37”
Weight - I’m not sure, but I’m avoiding because she’s supposed to gain by her next well check
Clothing/diaper size - 24 months, 2T/ 4 diapers
Milestones - ** I have been working nonstop with her on these things and it’s all come extremely recently, I hate the comparisons these things can bring** count to 20, backwards from 10, body parts, ABCs, colors, unassisted forward rolls and thisclose with her backwards ones (that was 100 her gymnastics teacher and a roll of stickers), finally cleaning up after herself including throwing stuff away
Likes - dinosaurs, Princesses, beauty and the beast, bath time, almond milk ice cream, chapstick (???), dresses, bows, playdoh, hungry hungry caterpillar, any sorting and counting game, her tough trike, shoes
Dislikes - the word no, getting her hair brushed, bedtime, waking up and not seeing me, the evil potty, when she has to be patient and/or wait her turn

Reading these just proves how different each kid is and that there is such a wide range of “normal”. Each kid has their own set of strengths and weaknesses and that’s just what makes them unique, special and perfect!

Wow sophiegrace that's super impressive! Look if there's one thing having 2 kids has taught me is that you really can't compare. Like my 2 boys have the exact same parents, the same home life, the same exposure to learning tools, but are still soooooooooooooooo different. C was "advanced" with language, could talk/count/sing/etc way ahead of schedule. H is more on par with "average" in that area. But in terms of motor skills, he is doing stuff way ahead of when C did them. It's just their personalities and their own interests. One isn't better or worse. They're just doing things on their own schedule. I like "hearing" what the other kids are up to. Not to compare, but because we don't see each other in real life.

waitwhat and danib all of that can’t be said enough. These check ins killed me for the first 18 months. Even at her 2 year well check she barely had any words that I thought “counted”. But then in true M fashion something clicked a few weeks ago and it was like the floodgates opened up and things started to make sense to her. Two weeks ago I’m not sure what I would have written there because none of that was really happening. And if she continues the way she normally does, she’ll completely halt in learning anything new for about six months until her next “leap”. But, it’s starting to make sense. If you look at our board alone and all the different stuff and jobs we do, interests we have, it makes a lot more sense that our own kids wouldn’t be following the same linear path.

Height -33.5” Weight - 26.6lbs Clothing/diaper size -solidly in 18m, 24m for sleep and plays./ size 5 Milestones - he just had a mini-word explosion, “I did it,” home, clean up to name a few. Likes - trains. Thomas , Polar express, fake Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, beans and lentils, Dislikes - putting trains away, going to bed!

Cheshie6 I wish you could come to our gymnastics class. That is where I finally settled in to all of this and realized that M is steering this ship and not me. All the kids there are about a year max apart in age and the skills that vary between all of them are stunning...in the best way. M can say and identify all that stuff I mention, but she has no 2 and 3 word sentences. She’s finally attempting communication but unless it’s something we practice over and over and over it takes me forever to figure out what she’s trying to say because most things are so garbled. She can do three forward rolls in a row but is currently paralyzed by the balance beam and can’t figure out that she just has to let go in order to come off of the parallel bar. At any moment during class I’ll be seeing a kid completely blowing everyone away at the same time I’ll be hearing a mom say that they’re worried about this or wish their kid would do that. It’s not like that at music class where the moms are so much more competitive and only speak of their kids like they’re harp playing angels. I don’t even speak during that class. Also, I want to mention that I’m on your side re: YouTube when it comes to M’s learning style. I wasn’t always. Up until a month or so ago a was very easy breezy about the tablet in general. Finally, I realized that M was acting like a monster when she couldn’t have it and that her behavior was just off the wall after she’d be on it for awhile. It was 100% nonsense that she would watch because she’d just change the video when I would put something educational on. She’s always been a hands on baby requiring a constant back and forth so what L’s speech therapist said makes it all make sense to me. This stuff is hard

Height - Not sure what he is now but he was 35.25" at his 2 year appt.
Weight - Just under 30 lbs at appt.
Clothing/diaper size - 2T, size 5
Milestones - If we did this check-in right at 2 years, I would hardly have anything but he's had an vocab explosion lately. Apparently he's just been silently absorbing information for months. He knows his letters, colors, animals, body parts and has been really good about associating things (he'll point to colors on his playmat and go get the playdough that matches or he'll place the A from one puzzle next to another A). He can sort of sing the ABCs but usually needs me to sing along or he "reads" it from something else. He can count to 10. He "talks" a ton but most of it is gibberish. He usually only uses 1-2 word sentences.
Likes - Mickey Mouse, Super Wings, Paw Patrol, playdough, playing with cars/planes/trains, the color pink, puzzles, legos, playing his guitar, coloring, when Gracie has zoomies, apples, grapes, bananas, mac and cheese, mensef (a Jordanian dish), reading, being tickled by his dad.
Dislikes - Most desserts, pretty much everything I try to feed him, sitting on the toilet, using his feet at soccer, when I try to record him doing something cute.

Oh my gosh the dog zoomies get the best full on belly laughs over here goldenlove it’s hilarious. M has a “mom is recording me, I must stop” thing going on too. So many pictures from this time last year has her completely cheesing it up and now it’s impossible to catch it.

Height - just under 35”
Weight - 31 lbs
Clothing/diaper size - 2T; size 5; size 6 at night
Milestones - knows body parts, colors, count to 13, drinking from an open cup, uses 3 word sentences, uses please/thank you (not every time but without prompting), wants to do everything himself (is this a milestone?)
Likes - wheels on the bus, YouTube kids, trucks, going for golf cart rides, snacks, hot dogs, cheese, bolting in public
Dislikes - being told “No” for anything, getting lotioned after bath (am i supposed to still doing this?), getting his teeth brushed

cookswithwine I haven't lotioned H in ages. But his skin doesn't need it. On the other hand, I still lotion C on occasion (and did constantly well past 3 year's old).

Height - 36.75” (tall one here)
Weight - 28lbs
Clothing/diaper size - 2t, size 4
Milestones - knows her abc’s, can count to 12, talks up a storm and usually never stops talking, we’re getting close on potty training, but will not let me help at all
Likes - baby doll obsesses, Frozen, singing nursery rhymes, being in charge of everything, pretending to do my hair, loves big brother and anything he does
Dislikes - not being the boss, the word no, when she can’t have chocolate for breakfast, when big bro takes anything of hers

He was just shy of 39” at 3 which was back in June. I’m thinking he’s closer to 40” now. Both have always hung out in the 90th percentiles.
