@starzia, I do yoga fairly regularly, and walk when the weather is good. I’ve never been one to just go to the gym on my own, but I love classes! If you’re concerned, I’d start with something like prenatal yoga, so you know the teacher is trained in modifications and such. Otherwise, just talk to them, tell the teacher you’re pregnant and would love guidance, and go from there!

@starzia, I would ask your doctor. Mine said not to start doing things I wasn't doing before being pregnant. Since I wasn't as active as I should have been, I have just been sticking to walking.

I have not been exercising. In the least. Ugh. With my hip the way it is, I don't want to aggravate it, just the PT exercises.
Thanks for the thoughts on sprinkles, I'm not sure yet what I'll decide but I'm glad it doesn't come across as yucky. It would certainly be a really small thing. It kind of depends on what the other 4 pregnant ladies in the family end up doing, they're all having second/third babies. Cousin only asked because she just threw one for one of them through their church.
Small towns/big family stuff.

@starzia, I have not been exercising at all this pregnancy (unlike my previous 2) but I keep thinking I want to go to the gym and do some light swimming. I feel like that would be totally acceptable to start mid pregnancy if your gym has a pool.

I just had a complete, crying meltdown because we need to grab dinner to take with us to D&D, and every single thing H was suggesting is either something I can’t eat or is greasy and sounds awful. We finally settled on getting pho. Stupid hormones make everything into such a big deal at the least convenient times.

bonzo, it is crazy how the stupidest stuff can make you cry while pregnant! I am pretty sure I start tearing up about something pretty much every day at this point.

At the last minute my mom invited me to fly to Utah to see family this weekend. With DS.
I've kind of got a mental block on just how terrible it will actually be, hoping that the excitement of a plane and all the new, fun toys and snacks I'm going to bring for him will make it not horrific. Downloading some games and movies on my tablet. Suckers, tootsie rolls, stickers, new tractors, mini etch-a-sketch...
It's only two hours, he has his own seat and we'll bring his carseat. Tell me I'm not crazy?

Tell me I'm not crazy? You’re not crazy! You’ll get through it. I’ve flown quite a bit with DS and the nice thing is that even if he does awful I will never see the people again and it was only a few hours. It has always been worth it.

quinstar, not crazy at all. I have flown cross country multiple times with kids. It can suck, but it can be totally fine too, and 2 hours is not bad. It sounds like you are prepared. Snacks and tablet with headphones will get you through, and as said above, you will never see these people again if it is awful. ETA, you can bungie cord the car seat to a roller luggage, or get a car seat cart, and use the car seat like a stroller in the airport. I have done both, and both made life way easier than having to carry a car seat around.

Parts of our county got blizzard conditions last night, so our local schools are on a snow day. The college I teach at is in a different area, so no snow day for us! Luckily the roads don’t look too bad near my house, it looks like we got the harsh winds but not too much actual snowfall.

bonzo, we got about the same- not a ton of actual snow but the wind blew like crazy last night, likely making the roads a mess. Schools around us are cancelled, which only means that DS’s parent teacher conference for preschool got cancelled. It was so warm yesterday, if only it would’ve stuck around!

I am such a clumsy mess. I’m blaming pregnancy. In the last week I have dropped both pizza and ketchup on carpeted areas of our house...

mamabear02, I wish the warm weather had stuck around for a little longer! I don’t like the icy, freezing temps.

What does diastasis recti feel like? A week or two ago, every time I would try and sit up from a reclined position, I had this weird, not quite painful feeling on the right side of my belly button, like a pulling sensation that would make the muscle give out or something. Then the other day I had a weird, empty/pressure area there. I'm getting the same pulling sensation on the left side now. Didn't have this last time.

quinstar, I might be wrong, but I though diastisis recti happened after birth, not during 2nd trimester. One of my yoga teachers did recommend always rolling up, rather than trying to sit straight up, as a way to help prevent it.

I’ve been wanting to jump back in- work has been crazy.
I’m still puking on the regular at 23 weeks so that blows but I’m not usually nauseated all day so I’ll take it.
Our nursery is done but I’ve got some other General house projects I want to get done before the baby gets here.

I have random thoughts brought by a day of deep cleaning. Packing up baby girl clothes make me sad now. I’m just as exited to be sorting and washing newborn boy stuff. Just feeling sad that I’m not going to use them again. My body is like bam pregnant looking. And sleeping is becoming painful. I hated always sleeping on my side for DD. Glad this is the last time I will do this. I got a massage on Friday and it made a difference my hips are so much better. But it’s all creeping back. Also coming to the conclusion that I am going to hit a point where I can’t pick up DD. Today was a clingy day. I packed up E’s clothes and felt the same way- some of her outfits were so cute and I’m sad I won’t see them on another baby.

Anyone here exercising regularly? I just got a gym membership and I don’t even know what to go there a do besides play on the elliptical I exercise at home- 3-4 days a week I do weights with Jillian Michaels, 1-2 days I do a barre type pregnancy dvd or yoga, 1-2 days I jog on the treadmill. I generally do something every day. I really liked the stairclimber at the gym when I was pregnant last time- you could go nice and slow but still get a burn and heart rate up. I get bored easily so I would do 10 min incline on TM, 10 min on bike, 10 min on stairclimber.

I don't think anything you said is concerning by any means so just ask at your next appt?

The flight went well, DS passed out as soon as it took off, with the help of a tablet, though he did try to give the person in front of us a nice massage with his feet while we waited for the plane to be de-iced. Only a few moments of screaming and only one sigh and one dirty look.
Getting to the gate however... Next time, I would check the car seat before TSA, and have an umbrella stroller for getting around. Hauling DS and the car seat was terrible, and they had no carts for 3/4 of the trip. I was banking on carts, I would have paid $5 for a cart over and over again because we dumped our stuff, buckled DS in the seat and pushed him around happily. The other 3 jaunts across the airports were miserable.

lolacachia Congratulations on team pink! We're having another girl too:) F is not happy about a baby sister but we are working on it lol DD told me if I ever brought a baby boy home she would put him outside on the porch and lock the door. So I feel your pain. She has since told me a boy would be ok as long as it is a baby we find and not one I grow in my tummy...but I'm still glad we're having a girl just in case:) I'm just happy I get to reuse all DD's clothes because I was gifted so many beautiful outfits that I loved so much!
