J has been nothing short of absolutely terrible. I don't know what else to do. I've taken away every toy that he loves. It gets me no where. I do timeouts. I've even started putting him in the bedroom by himself to calm down because he's throwing kicking/flailing/screaming tantrums. C is like that too with timeouts. The thing that worked for him is to completely ignore him. I let him know that I won’t be talking to him again until he can be calm and I basically ignore all bad behavior. Once he knows he isn’t getting a reaction he comes back calm and apologizes. Taking things away didn’t work. He needed zero reaction to bad behavior. I will try anything at this point. |

Hi. Sorry i didn’t check in last night, we ended up having our neighbors over for pizza and wine last night. I over-drank.
Anyway, i was offered the job. Now i have to see if HR will give me a salary step that reflects my experience. When i told the Asst Superintendent that i was going on the interview, he mentioned another position that’s more of an admin position, coaching teachers. So now I’m not sure if i should also apply for that one.

LO is eating lunch, is was rolling around the living but stopped in her tummy and is now grunting. I feel a diaper change for her is coming soon. 💩

Happy weekend. We watched cars 3 last night for the first time in preparation for DL so j knows some characters.. realizing my kids don't know too much Disney. Today we went to Costco and then both kids napped and an electrician came to fix some dimmers that were causing the lights to surge. We used the home warranty that came with the house - I put in my issue into my app, clicked 2 day choices and now just pay a copay..I like this!
Now going to try to keep working around here, may head downtown for burgers tonight to try a new place since 5 guys isn't super close anymore.

I’m not sure. The Admin position is a closer fit to what I’m doing now but the teaching position would be more secure. There’s pros and cons to both. |

Is the admin position full time through the summers? I know at my old district the teachers aren’t there to coach but the admin team has summer hours for scope and sequence planning for district goals and and what not. |

I think where she’s at it’s called a master teacher where she would be over the teachers helping them with their curriculum. She is hoping to transition into that role in the next few years. I think they approached her about it. |

We are at my mom and dad’s and S is much happier with the freedom to roam! snoopmommymom are teaching positions easy to come by around there? Like is there usually a couple spots to fill every year? So if you took the admin spot then lost it due to budget cuts, do you feel confident you could get a regular teaching position? |

I wish we could ignore it, but hers happens when we are asking her to do something or it is time to do something, like bath time or bedtime. Ignoring her does no good because she is ignoring us and what we're saying. She will tell us no and run and hide or whatever. I'm excited for her teacher to be back on Monday because she keeps them in line during the day and Cadence is much more responsive at home. I was thinking more for J because he is at the age where I think a lot of it is for attention whether it be negative or positive. |

It was working so well but then DH didn’t stick with it after Christmas and I feel we are back at square on. We were having him wipe and we would do a quality control check and he was doing good. |

Well it’s official. Miss J is potty training. Thank you Teacher Stella. She told me that she went marching (to the toilet) and went pee pee. She’s gone 6 times between yesterday and today. I had a ton of pull ups left from B, so she’s in them and LOVES them. Holy crapola, I wasn’t expecting this for a while.

Layla and I ended up having a girls day together. We got pedicures (her first time), went to lunch (my first time taking her to a restaurant solo), and took a long walk. She was so incredibly well behaved and loving. I think we really needed this day together before baby comes. I'm kinda worried that as much as Tim's and I's life is about to get flipped, so is hers. She's been an only for so long, but she is so incredibly excited to be a sister. I hope the transition goes smoothly.
