I got out of bed 11 times last night for C. I think I’m going to move T into DD’s room for a few days and sleep train hard. DH leaves Monday for the week and I want to be 100% done nursing when he gets home Friday. I feel no sadness over this, I’m so done.

My brother is 26 and lives at home. He finally has a job though, so I will count that as progress. Curious what will happen if they sell the house...

My brother is 26 and lives at home. He finally has a job though, so I will count that as progress. Curious what will happen if they sell the house... I think nowadays a lot of kids go from college back to their parents house. Jobs aren't easy to come by. Are your parents thinking of selling soon? Maybe now that he has a job he'll move out. |

I love my sil (dh’s little sister) but she is so spoiled it drives my crazy. Like she’s 31 and still on her parents cell phone plan and they pay her car insurance. And she’s just really ungrateful. Like my smil told me she’s constantly going over data and running up their bill but she doesn’t apologize or offer to pay for it. And she spent a shot ton of money on a purebred German pointer, but she lives in a tiny studio in la so they dog is constantly being left at my in laws. Well, said dog has killed three of their chickens and SIL literally has never apologized, offered to replace the chickens or thought up alternative plans for the dog. And when we were there he ate a pair of my kids flip flops. Again, no apology or offer to replace them. Shit like that just drives me crazy .

Since we are talking about siblings, my dad keeps complaining that my brother won’t pay his own car insurance and he doesn’t want to drop it because the car is in his name. If I have to hear about it one more time, I’m gonna tell him to save it. My brother and his wife just bought a house last year and is now taking care of his wife’s brother’s 3 year old. My dad has been complaining of this for 2 years now. Clearly he is capable of paying his own car insurance.
And both my siblings like to not pay the cell phone bill. We are all on a plan with my mom from years ago, but we are all supposed to split payments equally because it’s just cheaper. While my sister was out of work, my mom paid it and for the longest, my brother didn’t contribute equally. Don’t complain, Mom, if you aren’t going to put your foot down and keep paying their share. I wasn’t because I wanted to cht off both of their lines until they were ready to pay. #petty
My parents say all the time how they thought that I, their middle child, would be the one they had to worry about. I am the only one they don’t have issues with. Eta: but the other side of that coin is that they always feel like they can vent to me about it.

My sister went through a crappy drug addicted time where she stole from my parents, took advantage of them,lied to them, ect. I felt terrible for my parents because they knew they needed to cut her off, but were so scared she'd end up dead or something. Horrible. That's kind of how things have gone with my sister, only her issues are mental health-related. My parents are taking advantage of her being married now to get the hell out of dodge while they can and I don't blame them. It's a huge part of the reason I haven't said anything about that garbage bag husband of her's. |

We all know how I feel about my cousins. Her, her H, 3 kids and shes expecting all live with my grandma. Neither of them have jobs so my dying grandmother fully supports a family of soon to be 6. Grandma told them that as soon as I'm in my house shes moving in with my mom so they need to find somewhere else to go. My cousin told her that she has squatters rights and grandma can evict them if she wants them out. They stole from my parents when they lived with them years ago, stole from my uncle when they lived with them. If you could hear the way she speaks to my grandma, your head would explode. And they dont even clean up after them selves. They got tired of grand mb a nagging about washing the dishes so they hid all the dirty dishes in the garage....

I really hope my girls end up being responsible. I was golden child in a lot of ways. MH was...not. I wouldn't have any problem with covering their way to take them on family vacations as adults or other financial assistance here and there. I don't think I'd have a problem if they stayed living at home for a while after 18 (you may be able to throw this in my face in a decade+) given that they were responsible people. But dang, it would suck if somewhere along the way, whether it be a failure on my part or theirs, they ended up being loser mooches.
