You know it's cold when your doorknob freezes solid. I legit couldn't get out of my house this morning. Neighbour had to come help. Just finished an hour of shovelling. The boys want tongo out and play in the snow. I don't think it'll last long because I'm fairly certain they will just keep getting stuck in it and get frustrated. H for sure. C might try to stick it out a bit longer. We shall see.

Hi guys. Lillian went back to school today. She was ready. We were ready. Trying to decide how to spend the day with Lilah aside from having to take the car in for its 2 year check up. I've been really really tired lately. Not sure what the deal is. 1 week from today we go to Nebraska. I havent flown in over 3 years and certainly not with car seats and 2 kids. Ugh.

I'm at work. I need to go grocery chopping at lunch to figure out what we're eating for dinner tonight and tomorrow. Tonight will have to be something quick. We had pasta last night. Decisions, decisions.

Well my prediction was correct. We lasted approximately 90 seconds before calling it quits. Snow was waaaaaayyy too deep. We just kept falling through and getting stuck. It was kind of like falling through the ice, how you basically have to lie on it to pull someone out and keep your weight distributed evenly so it doesn't continue to break.

tgrimes I'm sure we looked a state. First H fell down (not through though since hes lighter). I tried to rush over to him and my leg went through to my hip. So I had to haul myself up and crawl to him. Then our combined weight meant I kept sinking. He was not happy at all. Then C tried to run around thr shed and I hears him yell. So I plopped H down. He wouldn't move from that spot. And tried to get to C but I couldn't becausr he was basically behind a huge drift. So I had to reach over and told him not to try to walk just let me pull him. Which resulted in him sliding down like a penguin once I got him over the crest of it. *that actually sounds a little freaky reading it but trust that we were laughing (except H, but he was just frustrated not scared or anything)

Gahhh danib that sounds terrible. Funny too, but only because where I’m sitting it’s way above freezing and haven’t been touched by snow yet. Did it snow at all when your H was home?

tgrimes that looks yummy. I need to try it with C. danib I'm laughing. That sounds slightly scary but hilarious. classymrsa What are you doing in Nebraska? cookswithwine YAY so exciting!! I'm slightly terrified of twins right now. Our first US is Wednesday but I don't think we'll see much until the next one. Also, do we need a pregnancy/baby post here? I know dashook is almost ready to pop but I'd love baby updates! Maybe start HDBD again.

With C we did weekly ultrasounds and blood work until 8 weeks before I graduated from the RE. I'm assuming it'll be the same again. Next week I'll be 5 weeks+ which is very unlikely to see heartbeats but we would see gestational sack and fetal pole. From what I read, you might not always be able to see twins at that point. The 6 week scan should show the heartbeat (or heartbeats).

We have tickets to go see Dear Evan Hansen tonight but I just don't think I can manage seeing a tearjerker of a show when I'm feeling this emotionally fragile. It was just last week that we were told Luna had cancer and was terminal and made the decision to let her go. Unfortunately the show is pretty much sold out so changing out for a different night isn't going to be an option. Hoping my H's aunt and uncle who live in the area could use them, otherwise we've just wasted $200. Ugh.

I also really want to see it, I'm just...ugh. Too fragile is really the only way to put it. Thankfully my H is feeling much the same so although we are both disappointed we're on the same page. It's just not a date night kind of night.
