I have a bunch of events coming up and I just tried on the dress I planned to wear to most of them. It makes me look ridiculous - like my boobs could fall out at any time and also like I’m wearing a velvet bathrobe. I’m so glad I waited until last minute to try it on 😑
DH was trying to be nice and I yelled at him to never mention it again. I really need to get healthy. I’m eating terribly and just don’t look/feel like myself at all. Bleh.
On a good night DD2 STTN (sort of, 1130-630) last night. She’s also actually napping semi decently. I guess you win some and lose some 😂

Sttn isn’t even sort of happening here. We’ve succumbed to ds sleeping with us which is awful. He cries all.the.time. I feel like I have an 19lb newborn. My youngest dd is having complications with her arthritis again and that’s got us up dealing with 103+ degree fevers every night. Mix in ds and we haven’t slept in 10 days. I’m dying. I am so ready for dd1 to go back to school, but also so behind on life I am not ready. It’s ridiculous.

Also, alwayscheese ds is now 30” and I need to look into car seats too. I am NOT ready to not be able to lug him around in the bucket seat. That has saved my life. Back to wearing him or the toddler I guess because I only have so many hands. Except it’s winter so that really bites.

I feel you, Leaf 🌱. I feel like my body is not my own. But I cannot stop eating.

i also just cannot stop eating. i was going to make a run at whole30 this month, but then decided to keep the bar low with not eating crap when i’m at my mom’s. she has an entire cupboard of candy that i cannot keep away from. i managed to do it yesterday, but then stuffed my face with the christmas cookies she put out after dinner. we are also nowhere near sleeping through the night here. up 3x last night.

Well you’ll all be happy to know I jinxed the shit out of myself and she was up from 145-330 and then I couldn’t fall back to sleep. Why doesn’t she like sleeeeep?!?!
I have NO idea what the height limit is for my bucket seat. I’m seriously considering selling my stroller with it when she’s too tall for it. We have the pups any vista with the ridealaong board and it’s amazing but huge. I’d like to move down to the Cruz or something with a ride along board with built in seat.

We still fit pretty well in the infant seat but I really need to get my butt in gear for looking for a new convertible for him. I’m dreading that purchase x2 since we’ll need one for H’s car too.

Sorry it sounds like a lot of us aren’t getting sleep. I feel like we should finally be there.
L’s sleep is rebounding from the great tooth event of Christmas 2018. But I’m not sleeping at all - and I just remembered last night why. I just started taking a medicine that causes insomnia as a side effect, so last night I couldn’t fall asleep until almost 1 am, then after L’s 4 am feeding, I was up.
And today I definitely have to go into work. I just want to curl up on the couch!

I feel you, Leaf 🌱. I feel like my body is not my own. But I cannot stop eating. This is me too. I weighed myself after Christmas and like why? It’s shocking how easy it is to put on weight for me.

Sleep is kind of a bitch here too. We have a couple of good nights with one wake up and then a few nights with shitty 3x up. It makes me crazy.
I did sleep in this morning though and SO got up with the kids and did breakfast and the morning stuff so I guess I should maybe not bitch about being tired today. But tomorrow!

We are hitting up the zoo today because it’s really unseasonably warm. I’m looking forward to it. I get to chit chat with my bestie while our babies cruise in strollers and our older kids entertain each other.

Hi, we are also not sleeping. E was up last night from 11-2 or something stupid like that. She's having a great nap now though.
I wiped out on the ice this morning when we were leaving to take ds to school. I was wearing E instead of holding her, so I kind of braced myself. My butt is already so sore though.

We also don’t sleep. I’ve been throwing her at MH and he goes downstairs and sleeps with her in the recliner. It’s a shit show. She likes to be up for the day at 4am.

I took J to the dr yesterday because he looked like he got the same sinus gunk that DD and I had last week. Dr said his ears look good and it’ll just have to run it’s course. Today his eyes are all gunky, he wants me to hold him, and he really isn’t wanting to drink more than a couple of sips at a time. He has his 9 month checkup on Monday, and I am almost positive we will walk away with abx for an ear infection.

I am on team no sleep too. We get about 1 or 2 nights a week where L STTN, but most nights he wakes and ends up in DH and me. Also, L has had a terrible cold and I’ve been following him around with a tissue. The snot slowed down today, but now he has a fever. I made a doctor’s appointment for tomorrow because he seems to get an ear infection every time he gets a cold. Also, DS1 started sneezing a bunch tonight so who knows what will happen with that.

There is little sleep going on here as well. Last night was the best in awhile. DH had to go in about 4 times before 10 pm and then L slept until 2:30 to nurse but was basically up for the day at 4:45. I think the only one that sleeps well in our house is K. I wish K could at least follow after his brother with this one trait.

No sleep here either! So frustrating. The baby literally slept better as a newborn than he does now. And he has resisted any type of sleep training so far. He refuses to nurse during the day except before his naps and insists on feeding three times a night. At the moment I deal with MOTN and then H takes him in the morning and I sleep for an hour or two until he’s due for his nap. It sucks and won’t work once I’m back at work in three weeks.
I have tried delaying the feeding when he wakes up and he gets so worked up and angry that he either wakes DS1 (who will scream if H tries to go in to settle him, wants mummy) or he can’t settle from being so worked up even if I do feed him. It’s his super power I think, there is no crying/screaming until exhaustion with him, he just gets more and more fired up or more awake.
DS1 was a shit sleeper and what really helped him sleep through was being able to have a bottle of cows milk after his evening nursing session once he was one. I don’t know if it was the extra calories or just a change from nursing as comfort but it definitely helped.

This baby shrieks just to hear her own voice. She’s happy but screaming. All. The. Time.
My ears are dying. We’ve tried everything but I have no idea how to stop it. DD1 hates it. I hate it. Please let this phase go fast.
Also, team no sleep. Forever.

I'm battling a cold and I feel like I'm one bad night of sleep away from this thing being full blown.
Louisa is also sniffly so it could go downhill fast.
She has been relatively healthy so far and I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop for about two months now. The first winter in daycare is notoriously horrid (DS was sick straight from October-March) and I know its coming. Any minute now and we will all have HFM and RSV.

ArielMermaid mine is shrieky too. It gets higher pitched the longer it goes until there's no sound coming out of her mouth. It's hilarious the first time she does it.

L growls. I am pretty sure he gets it from his older brother.
I took L to the doctors this morning. He has another ear infection. This is the 3rd one he has had in his left ear the last 3 months. I am taking him back at the beginning of February and if his ear has not healed we probably will be referred to an ENT to see if he needs tubes.

Is everyone's M/A18 baby waving and clapping?
At her 9 month appointment on Wednesday the Dr just assumed she was and seemed a bit...put off when I said no. I don't at all remember when my first started these things but I do think it was by now...

I don't at all remember when my first started these things but I do think it was by now... L is just over 10 months and just waved for the first time earlier this week. He has brought his hands together a couple times after we clapped hand-over-hand with him, but not actually clapped. I’m not even sure what the typical age is for development of these skills.

But my friends baby who is a week younger is and I had this moment of just like utter guilt yesterday because it wasn’t even on my radar. I’m also positive that my oldest wasn’t by this age at all either. I thought that happened for him at about a year.

Hmm. Maybe I just don’t try to get my kids to do that when I should. Like I said - not even on my radar.
Although today we were all clapping at him like lunatic seals because I felt bad so maybe he’ll start soon

clementine, ArielMermaid, leatherpants, thank you for making me feel better! I did not even think about working on clapping or waving with her. Well that's not true, I saw a video of my oldest clapping at around her age so I started working on that, and she will clasp her hands together and smile but that's it. But waving was not even on my radar. I think I'm just paranoid because she was blue and not really breathing when she born so any little hint of a delay I'm like breathing into a paper bag.
