I'm wheeling and dealing over here. H is like "that sounds like a lot of work." I mean...yeah. Thanks for helping by messing around on video games while I try to figure our life out. Lol. Because of course he’s playing video games.

Because of course he’s playing video games. If he's not spending half an hour pooping (I had to text him "are you dead?" Sunday he was in there so long), he's doing shit like this.

Our big dog had two straight hours of seizures after lunch today. He’s at the vet now to see if they can stabilize him. He’s five so too old for juvenile epilepsy that dogs sometimes get and we’ve been having some nonstop behavioral issues with him over the past six month so the vet is assuming a brain mass of some kind. We didn’t want to make any decisions right now, but there really aren’t any great directions for this to go. I’m exhausted and want to throw up. He’s been so so so bad lately, but I thought he was just resentful of his surgery rehab from when he had his ACL repair in April. I should have called the vet months ago when I first started feeling funny about things. I'm so sorry. I don't think I mentioned but it was just a week ago, boxing day when we were woken up by Luna having a seizure. It was probably less than a minute long but the time seemed to stretch out forever. So many hugs to you. We've also been going round and round with the guilt (we should have had her scanned to check for cancer since she was so old, why didn't we, etc.) but it comes down to we all do our best with the information we have at the time. More hugs.

Yikes starbuck, that sounds like a lot. If you can negotiate a better price, it might be worth it but if not...oof. Crossing fingers your wheeling and dealing is successful.

goldenlove this is awesome!! starbuck could you get an inspector or a contractor to give you a very rough estimate of cost for the noted issues? It might give you negotiating power for an even better deal. I would still be weary, but that info might help you in your decision.

I made chicken stock today. Who knew I was so domestic?
Also brown rice, broccoli, and ground turkey for the week, a quesadilla for DS for dinner, as well as lunch for MH tomorrow and Friday. And now I need to clean up but having a bunch of BH contractions and plus also don’t really feel like it.

I spoke to a few people who have done a lot of reno's and home improvements so I kind of have a ball park. The roof shingles are another issue. It's a shingle that they don't allow to be made anymore because they're so bad and unreliable. Some were going bad in less than a year before they quit. And getting insurance to cover damage and replacement is a nightmare. Our agent has recommended we walk and I think she's right. I floated the idea of offering way low and getting a reno loan to do the work (winding up at the same total cost) but she's not sure that they'd go for it.

Thanks guys. There was an overlap between the regular vet hours and the ER vet being open so we had to bring him home for a little. He was stable and alert-ish when we picked him up but deteriorated quickly once he was home. The ER vet thought it was being caused by a fixable pancreatic tumor because his blood sugar wouldn’t stabilize. She was wrong and things somehow got worse so we let him go around 4 am.

More hugs. It was terrifying and just would not stop. I’ve seen patients have seizures, but I know how to stop them in that case. Being completely helpless is something I’m struggling with. Even picking him up to get him to the car. My god. It took 30 minutes. The vet has a long talk with me this morning and told me that I need to accept this as his way of telling us he was sick. His behaviors were progressing in a very scary way and at 110# could have caused devastating injuries. Better for him to go in a way where we can remember the good things instead of being forced to put him down because he hurt someone. Idk.
