Anyone else unable to keep track of the days? Ever since Christmas its been a blur. Anyway. We had a blizzard last night. Of course, because DH left yesterday. LOL Every damn time. So I spent the morning shovelling. On the bright side, I guess I can say I got a good start on getting back in shape after the giant cookie that was December.

December was a giant cookie and chocolate bar. LOL danib , how long before you go back to work after that 6 days in a row? I feel like everything goes wrong right after DH leaves. Our tv crapped out this time. Also my car needs new tires and needs to be inspected by the end of the month. LOL I've been so tired lately and I've been sleeping!?!

Ugh being back to work is awful. I'm so busy but I wanted a lazy couple days. I have no desire to go talk to CWs today. I found them to be extremely annoying before the break and I'm not in the mood.
I went in this morning for repeat betas. Waiting for them to call back. This one is giving me a lot more anxiety.

Lol to giant cookie danib! Glad the kids cooperated and you got a chance to shovel. I’m not enthused to be back at work and would much rather be off, but here we are. Coffee is helping and the kids had a good drop off at school this morning, so i can’t really complain. The good thing about coming back to work is my body was seriously craving water. I do not drink enough of it when I’m at home because coffee-wine is frowned upon at work.

I'm at work. For real, it's kind of a relief. I'm WFH today and blissfully alone.

Oh and my boss told me first thing this morning that I will be coming on FT NO LATER than the first week in Feb, if not sometime this month. That is amazing news for us while we work on our home situation. What a relief.

I really need elle to wake up. I'm here. No line. I'm thinking the stress of losing my dog so suddenly threw everything off. Which sucks but it's probably for the best. That way I won't equate getting pregnant and learning about it with the death of my dog.

Cheshie6 I'm off until Sunday. Unless they call me for Saturday, in which case I'll most likely accept a shift. As of next pay period I'll be back to my regular of mainly just weekends. I'm sorry elle

I’m also confused on what day it is. B is still off from school. I can’t wait for him to start back up Monday lol.
Speaking of, I just realized next Tuesday I have to go sign up B for the lottery for pre K next fall. If he gets chosen it’s free. I need to figure out what option I want. Currently he goes 3x a week for 3 hours and we have no issues. Next year he will be going Monday-Friday from either 8:45-11:15 or I can chose the full day option which is 8:45-1:45. I’m not sure which option to chose. He still naps (which I know could change by the fall) but J also naps around 12:30/1 and leaving to pick up B at 1:45 will cut into his nap. I am also not sure if 8:45-1:45 is too long? Especially going from 3 days to 5. Decisions decisions.

W went from 4 days per week at 3 hours per day to 5 days, all day (6.5 hours of prek + before and after care since we work). It was different but the transition was not really difficult. He has a lot of fun - more fun than he had home with me, although he would never say so I know it's true.

tjanca22 I never drink water at home either. elle I’m sorry I’m in the office for the first time since 12/12 lol. Normally I’m ready to go back but I was enjoying our lazy stay-cation. O had an appt with children’s urology this morning and it’s not good news. His laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery that he had at 5mo old was unsuccessful. His one ball still swells up (hydro seal) therefore he has a “communicating” hole there still. I’m upset. I don’t want him to have to do surgery again... this time it will be the traditional cut too. I didn’t schedule it yet. I just needed to process.

I need to figure this 4K thing out for E fast because sign up is next month! Adding that to my list of crap to figure out.

I’m sorry cookswithwine. Any surgery is scary, especially on our kiddos. Big hugs! Hopefully you can schedule it, get it over with and he can heal and move on for good from this ❤️

I also have to figure out school options for C. I think they have a program for 2 years. I should probably do that soon.

I just am not sure if going everyday will be a big transition for him and adding a couple more hours will be even more difficult on top of it? Maybe I’m overthinking this lol.

I’m sorry elleThat’s scary to think about cookswithwine. Related, my BFF’s son just had to have a 2nd surgery at 6 to fix one he had at 1 yo to reposition the urethral hole on his penis. She was so worked up about it, but said the surgery was easy, only 10 minutes long. Hopefully it’s the same for you. Fingers crossed for your house today starbuck! waitwhat I would worry at all about the hours and days of week. I’ve heard providers say that the full time kids have an easier time anyway because there is less guessing game whether it’s a full day, half day, or home day. But I’m with tgrimes, the messing with nap for J would throw me off.

But spoiler alert I would do a lot to get the number of kids in my face down for even a few more hours per day when I SAH.
