Morning all!
Our friends left at about 9pm last night, so after the kids went to bed MH and I cleaned up from that, then we decided to pull out the Christmas boxes and take everything down. It took less than an hour without the kids and it was so nice to wake up this morning without that to do.
Today is clean house day, it’s gross in here and I’ve allowed it for too long 😉. Vacuum, mop, and wash walls, dust etc.
We’ll probably head out tobogganing this afternoon to keep the house clean and get some fresh air.

Happy new year! Here's hoping 2019 is a healthier one for all these sick kiddos! This. Last year was not good health wise for my family, so I’m hoping this year is just the opposite. |

Morning! We’re going to attempt ice skating again today, this time inside since it below zero. Hoping for naps for everyone this afternoon. I don’t want to go back to work tomorrow! Did you buy N skates or are you just renting? We found skates for both the kids at the store. We bought Hs a couple sizes too big knowing he wouldn’t get much use out of them now. |

C woke up screaming in ear pain one day last week. We upped nose blowing, saline, ect and he hasn't complained again. You may want to do that today just to hopefully get everything moving a bit! This. Vicks, saline, humidifier on full blast at night etc. Do what you can at home, there’s a lot out there right now that say ear infections are linked to viruses so it just has to run it’s course. Thank you! No pain today so just rest and saline spray happening here. I called her ped who told me to text her if it got worse. |

Happy new year! N is napping and j is watching the Rose bowl parade. He keeps asking where it is, so I think we will tell him later today that we are going to LA in a few weeks. I'm sure he will be most excited about the plane. I feel like everything is a mess, so hoping I make some progress this evening. Tomorrow will be a rude awakening getting back to work and life.. funny how when I was in NYC I was like yes I want more kids and now after 3 days with them straight I'm like nope, we are done.

Debating on taking all Christmas decorations down today or just chilling and do it over the weekend. Nothing really on the agenda day besides cleaning up a bit and getting ready for everything to go back to normal tomorrow. Pork and sauerkraut in the crockpot and I'm going to try instant pot mashed potatoes later They're so easy! |

Morning and happy New Year! Random Flamingo TOTD: It does not seem all that long ago that we were worried about Y2K...def not 19 years, that’s for sure! No major plans here; I think we’ll take the kids out for lunch just to get them out. When I was in Dillard’s yesterday I saw a couple pillows I liked for the guest room; they’d already been marked to $25 each and they’re doing an additional 50% off today. So I might go try and snag those. And then for real no-spend January kicks in, lol. I’m laughing because guess where I was at 850 AM this morning? There was a hard case spinner I wanted for M so I snagged that and looked around at some other things. Got the boys some shorts for summer and a pullover and earrings for myself. And No spend January kicks in for me after that. Great minds! |

flamingo it’s really bad in some areas. My MILs store is insane. This was the first year I braved the opening here and it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, but I wasn’t coming for shoes or purses or Christmas decor- which is usually where the crazy is. After an hour, we started seeing lines that deep, but I found a short one by the kids dept and I was out a little after 10. More people were pouring in, so I was glad I was in and out first thing.

xolastunicornxo That’s a fun tradition! Happy New Year! Now that I’m home from my outing this AM and the weather is dreary, I’m just planning to tidy up and hang out. MH is packing because he heads to MS for orientation at the new job. He is bringing M along and my ILs will pick him up to spend the rest of the week there because school isn’t in until Monday. Just me and M2 for the rest of the week.

One lady in line with me said they came last night to 'scout' and then got there this morning before the doors opened. I had to make a couple returns to Nordstrom and BR, so DH took that stuff and he and C headed out into the mall. When he came back, he came in on another floor and said the men's and cosmetic departments were pretty quiet, so I ended up moving down there to check out. I think a lot of people were effectively 'trapped' in housewares b/c they had SO much stuff. The shoe department was insane, too. Our store had off-duty police at all the entrances checking bags/receipts. |

Slept in late today then had carbs and coffee. Then exercise bike while I caught up on the blinds thread. It's pretty good over there today!

Tree is put away and most of the decorations. I keep finding more. I guess since I didn’t put them all up it’s easy to not know where they all went. I also just went through some of lo’s toys and got rid of a trash bag full of them.
They are hidden in the garage if he doesn’t say anything in the next two weeks then I will get rid of them.

Must be a 12 hour thing. I don't feel great but I'm no longer camped in the bathroom. I've kept down all 3 meals today so I'm hoping I have turned a corner on the morning sickness.
