Happy new year!!! Hope the first day of the year is amazing!

Good morning! I’m at work, the first baby of the year was born before 2am here at my work. I’m here till 2 and then I plan to go home and take a nap.

Morning and happy new year! I'm up with the kids. I drank a bit too much last night and am hoping I can get a nap in at some point. Other than that, lazy day and crockpot chili today.

Dd has a fever, Ds has a low grade one and sounds like he had a bottle of Scotch and some sigars yesterday. I was hoping yesterday to be a fluke day, but alas. So again no pool. Hopefully it is short lived, no fun sick kids on vacation.

Josie finally settled at 1 am; she woke up this morning in no pain, but still coughing.
Status quo on Charlie.
MH is in pain, but has to push through and work to get ready for tomorrow.
I’m wrapped in my robe with cup of coffee number two.
I think it’s going to be a long boring day of tv.

C woke up screaming in ear pain one day last week. We upped nose blowing, saline, ect and he hasn't complained again. You may want to do that today just to hopefully get everything moving a bit!

Aww, that would be so fun to have the first baby of the new year (although stinks if you wanted the tax credit for 2018, lol).

Random Flamingo TOTD: It does not seem all that long ago that we were worried about Y2K...def not 19 years, that’s for sure!

No major plans here; I think we’ll take the kids out for lunch just to get them out. When I was in Dillard’s yesterday I saw a couple pillows I liked for the guest room; they’d already been marked to $25 each and they’re doing an additional 50% off today. So I might go try and snag those. And then for real no-spend January kicks in, lol.

Fire alarm in the building ours is connected to started going off. The door isn’t far from me so it was pretty loud. Turns out a pipe froze and burst in the men’s bathroom. Water everywhere.

A girl (that I used to work with coincidentally) came in for a scheduled c-section early this morning and was hoping to be the first one.

Morning and Happy New Year! I was up checking on Chase every time he coughed. No more throwing up but not much sleep for me, either. I woke up feeling hungover without the fun of getting drunk in the first place. HNY to me.

We took the boys to breakfast and now I'm on the couch watching Cars 2 with Colin while Chase acts crazy and DH is trying to catch a nap. I'd like to run a few miles at some point, but it was not happening earlier this morning.

I think we're calling Chase potty trained. He still rarely asks to go and has more poop accidents than anyone should have to deal with. But we need to just start sending him to daycare in underwear and let him figure it out. Otherwise who knows how long it would take with him in underwear here and pull-ups there?

Good morning and Happy New Year! Sorry for the rough nights guster and joelies.

We were suppose to go to my sister’s at 8 but she called at 5 and said the kids were anxious just come them so we did. Everyone made it until midnight except C who fell asleep on me at 11:15. We left right after the ball dropped. C only got up twice in the night after that and DH left me sleep until 9:30. Now he is sleeping and I’m throwing out all the rest of the Christmas leftovers. I woke up feeling fat and my scale confirmed fatness so time to get on that again. I may start a new bbm later today.

No plans today but then tomorrow of course we have everything at once. Big kids back to school, DH back to work, T has a dentist appointment, gymnastics, hockey, and PTO meeting. We didn’t do much the last 2 weeks and it’s been fantastic.

Good morning. My brother stayed over last night and got up with C at 6:30am. I slept until 8:30 and Dh just got up at 10:30. I have a headache though and want to go back to bed.

My dad mentioned picking C up today but I haven’t heard from him so I assume he changed his mind. I might see if Dh will take C to the movies alone. I need to go to my parents anyway to pick up leftovers from my moms dinner party last night.

We’re going to my in laws’ later for pork, cabbage and black eyed peas.

Last night M was adorable. One of our friends had her baby at 28 weeks last year so he’s been behind big milestones. He was obsessed with M though so she kept playing with him. He walked to her for the first time! No one could believe it. He wouldn’t walk to anyone else but her. When he’d topple over she’d pick him up and then scoot back and hold out her arms again. Too cute.

Got an email that I didn’t get chosen for that position I had the phone interview for. I was having a lot of anxiety about daycare (not the girls going, but finding one close to H’s current school because I don’t want to switch her) so I am kind of glad I didn’t get it. I think the timing isn’t right, right now. I’m going to wait till the spring and before I think about a full time job again.

Morning! Dh just made waffles and bacon and now I’m drinking a mimosa and watching the news. We’re going to take down the Christmas decorations s today, hit target for some more returns, and then maybe visit my parents and/or go out to lunch.

Dh and I have a tradition of writing down or resolutions and we keep them in a mason jar. On NYE we pull out the old ones and read them and then add in the new ones. It’s fun to see the old ones from 9 or 10 years ago. Anyway, point of the story is I was pretty toasted last night and when I looked at my resolution this morning it said “smash the patriarchy” 😂😂😂😂 good to have goals! 🤷🏼‍♀️

E and I were up for New Years. Not by choice. I’m going to take down our tree today. Normally we keep it up until after Little Christmas but we have family visiting next week and we need to use the pull out couch for that family.

This. Vicks, saline, humidifier on full blast at night etc. Do what you can at home, there’s a lot out there right now that say ear infections are linked to viruses so it just has to run it’s course.
