Lol pootsen, you've been conditioned too! My sister has one of those ones that slowly makes the room brighter and she swears by it. Happy New Year everyone! With you on your resolutions grumpycat. But I'm starting the new year tired. We had people here until after midnight and DD was up at 6. She's napping now, but I have to do a bit of work I didn't have time to finish yesterday, but of course my computer is doing updates 😫

Stayed up until 11 for the East coast ball drop and promptly fell asleep. Party animals.
Tree is down and all of Christmas has been packed away, except for a mason jar of candy canes. H will have to put it all in the basement when he gets home or convince A to unattach from me so I can.
The boys and I played another game of UNO Attack this morning. Having those cards shoot out is rather startling, they think it is hilarious.

Why will my children not sleep??? Third night a row of only getting about three hours. I'm fucking miserable and taking it out on anyone who dares be in front of me.
Sorry everyone, the raging bitch is in the house.

Happy new year! Kids slept until 6:45. Winning!! I’m waiting for my bowl game to start and the kids are playing with their Santa gifts that were under the tree when we got home. What a great game, huh? It’s about time we had a good bowl game like that. I’ll be interested to see where we end up im the final season ranking. Should be decent.

Good morning! Ds1 goes back to school today, yay! I’m going to try to push C to one afternoon nap. He’s been fighting the morning one and sleeping for less than an hour. I’d much rather have one longer afternoon nap. What’s everyone else’s nap situation? He usually sleeps from 6:30p-6a at night.

Happy New Year! I went to bed at like 10:30. H woke me for the ball drop and then I promptly went back to sleep until N decided to wake up for an hour at 3:30. At least he slept until 8 after I finally got him back down. Took some epic naps yesterday too. (He napped like shit at DC on Monday so I was expecting a bad night.) Hopefully he will start napping better as we get back into the swing of things - between the holidays and his ear infection his schedule has been super wonky. Otherwise spent yesterday wrangling N, re-watching Game of Thrones, and eating crap.

But that's unusual. He takes a 1-1.5 hr nap in the afternoon after lunch. Sleeps from about 7pm-7am at night. I'm probably not the best person to answer this though. My kid hates naps

Good Morning! Back to work here. I'm already dreading the rushing around the next couple of days until we get back to the weekend. It was so nice being on our own schedule. E's naps are hit or miss pootsen. At home, he might do a mini nap after a bottle, a mid-morning nap anywhere from 30 mins-1 hour, and an afternoon nap anywhere from 30-1.5 hours. We shoot for about 3-4 hours between sleeping. At his daycare though, he ends up missing his first nap, goes down about 12 and sleeps only 40-1 hour. That makes him really tired at night and he ends up going down about 6-6:30. We've had to go back to having formula at night before bed. After introducing cows milk, E was waking up 5-6 times a night with terrible gas. After him sleeping that way at my sister's and crying hysterically, I decided to experiment. I did a bottle of formula the next night with him having only 3 wake ups, the next night he woke up twice, and the night after that he slept 6 full hours before waking up at 4:00 in the morning. So, now we do a bottle of milk first thing in the morning and a bottle of formula at night. I was hoping to finish the formula all together but I think his digestive system is just too sensitive right now and he can't handle it. He does fine during the morning after the bottle because he moves around so much he can get the gas out.

Ds2 wakes up at 8am, is usually down for a nap around 11am, sleeps till about 1pm (sometimes a little longer), and may or may not go back down around 4 for about 45 minutes. He's in bed by 7pm but more frequently 630pm (especially if he skips the afternoon nap). He does still wake up motn though. The past week has been all weird though since dh and ds1 have been home.

cnf B has been sleeping like garbage lately too. I think they are like a day apart, right? Is there a leap or something right now? I’ve been blaming it on his teeth but who knows.

pootsen we are at 1 nap except for rare days when he gets tired early and falls asleep while we’re in the car. Usually up around 6, nap 11-1, bed at 630. Then up at 10, 1, and 4 🙄

Happy new year, everyone! The holidays have me all out of my routine. Is it Monday? Wednesday? I’m ready to get back to normal, even if that means 5 days of work in a row.
We slept at a friend’s house for NYE, with not enough actual sleeping happening. Between staying up for midnight and B not wanting to sleep in his pack n play we were totally wiped out and all in bed by 8 last night.

pootsen at home ds2 takes about 1hr morning nap and then a 1-2hr afternoon nap. He sleeps 630p-630a with one MOTN wake up to eat. At daycare he usually skips his morning nap or takes really short naps. I love the 2 nap weekend life style but I will skip his morning nap if we need to be somewhere.

pootsen my girls go to bed at 6:30 on school nights and sleep until 6:15. They doze a little on their morning walks at school (maybe 15-20 mins of the walk) and then nap 1.5-2 hours after lunch.

Also, I wanted to add that a lot of daycares push for just one nap once the kids turn a year.

But also going through a growth spurt and dealing with the non day care schedule which ended today. DD2 was going to sleep somewhere between 5:30 (if she had one nap) to 6:30 (with 2 naps) and waking anywhere between 6:30-8. Now she will have to wake at 6:30. We are just trying to put her down when she is tired, but I think she should really be at one nap. DCP is going to try, because the girls have preschool between 11 and 2, and that would be perfect nap time!

Also, good morning/afternoon all! I am at work till 3:15, so only 3.5 hours left. I almost made a mistake just now with something, but caught myself, which is good, but I have to repeat something. Oops. Almost used an expired reagent.
It is otherwise very light today. A nice way to ease back into the routine. I still only have a 3 day work week this week which is excellent. I am going to 5 am OTF tomorrow and Friday, so I need to mentally prepare for that. I used to work out at 5 am frequently, but it has been a while.

My house is so quiet. It's wonderful. Just the sounds of ds2 "cooking" in the play kitchen. Ds1 is going to be four tomorrow 😭 Lord knows I'm not going to miss having a three year old but still.

pootsen during the week he is normally just 1 nap at daycare from about 12:30 until 2:30 or so. Sometimes if he is really tired he will take a 30 minute nap around 9am, that happens maybe 2 times a week. On weekends he naps for an hour or two in the morning, usually falls asleep before or by 9am. We typically run around all afternoon on the weekends so he'll take a couple of cat naps in the car. He goes to bed around 7:30pm and wakes up at about 5:30am with one or two MOTN wake ups still. The last couple of nights have been an 11pm wake up and then sleeping until 5:00am but he is all over the board so I can't say for certain what he does. On the weekends he will fall back asleep on the couch with me until 7ish. DS1 never took real naps at home once he was a year. And we never pushed it. A lot of car naps happened and sometimes the successful transfer from car to couch. He did fine without them most days. And he still naps at least 2 hours at daycare during the week.

Hello everyone! We still exist. I have read everything but didn't have anything interesting to post. I still don't but want to make an effort to post more now that I am back from the holidays.
I'm trying to play catch up from being off work but am finding I lack concentration. At least I am getting a few things done. I booked N's first haircut. He doesn't have much hair but his mullet is growing out of control and I suck at cutting it. DS1 needs one desperately so I just booked them together. After getting DS1's hair butchered at a kid's place one too many times I started taking them to an actual salon. The woman that cuts his hair is awesome and the price is the same anyway.

I plan on cutting AJs hair soon too. He finally isn't bald anymore but his hair is all over the place and getting in his eyes now. By this age ds3 had like 15 haircuts already. He was born with a mop and it never fell out lol. I also take him to a salon. I take my older boys there too. She does a great job. I'm going to cut AJs myself though cause it's not much. Just need to get rid of the flyaways. Maybe I'll go crazy and give him a mohawk if he's cooperative 🤣
