Good idea!!

I'm working today and then we're dropping off ds1 at my parents and will take ds2 to a friend's house for dinner, games and ringing in the new year. Ds2 will be sleeping in a pack n play for the majority of the night. This party is very low key, dress code: pajamas, and everyone leaves at 1205 to go to sleep haha! But my friends make a delicious prime rib and we all bring sides to contribute, it's a great time!

Also, to be a slight AW I got a promotion at work which is a great way to end the year ☺️

No big plans for the night here. No sitter plus the big ones want to hang. Maybe just eat junk and watch a movie, play some games, and go to bed at 12:01 lol I'm gonna need a nap to stay up that late. Fx

Today is Monday, right? I swear ds1 grew an inch overnight. His pj pants are way too short -- it's comical. Ds2 just dumped his bowl of Cheerios all over the family room. Definitely Monday.

Also hi everyone! I'm alive. N's first birthday/party and Christmas completely kicked my ass (never doing a party three days before Christmas again). Then N got socked with a double ear infection on the 26th, so definitely had the hands full. He is feeling much better now, though. His party was lovely, though he was very O.o about so many people around, and definitely did not know what to make of being sung to. Christmas was nice, though my ILs (MIL mostly) were grating on H and I a lot. N is cruising all over the house with his new walker toy, and has even started taking a few independent steps! Now that we are through the holidays we will start transitioning him to whole milk. I'll post some pics to the private thread later.

Signed up for Noom today, but won't start until Wednesday because tomorrow is an eat cinnamon rolls/do as little as possible day.

I've been following on Insta and it looked like everyone had a nice holiday Hope 2019 is magical!

Also, how long does this "I need to be surgically grafted to Mommy whenever she's around" phase last? Asking for a friend.

We are staying home and taking B to breakfast tomorrow. He has been sleeping like crap so I need to sleep when I can.

H is at work half day today and I’m hanging with the little guy. We have to close the books in 2 days instead of 3 so I’m WFH some today and tomorrow so I can meet the deadline. I’ve missed so much with a sick baby I don’t mind it and it will make this week less stressful.

Ya know. If you know your child has a tendency to play too rough or I don't know, routinely push babies out of his way, you stay with him at parties. Be a parent to your kid. I know it's exhausting but help me out here. Also, it was really bad when he threw a tennis ball at my shoulder narrowly missing a window and two babies playing nearby. Y'all. I can't right now. 🤬

Apps for dinner here and we are going to adopt an 8pm new year!

I was able to get all my frames photos hung and all of my artwork hung in new spots as well. Felt very productive for having 1 clingbot(A) and 1 requesting to nurse all.day.long. but he (DS3) did pee in the potty, just after pooping in his diaper. Calling it a win!

A has also become quite the jealous little boy lately too. Whenever 3 is near me, he comes out of nowhere and tries to wedge himself between us. He does it with the others too, but those to...man. I've never felt so popular. 🤣

Off to shower! Bringing in 2019 fresh and clean, while playing UNO. 🙃

We're forging ahead to midnight. I'm so tired, I've basically not slept the last two nights. Right now I miss when we lived on the west coast and could watch the NYC ball drop at 9pm and be done 😂

DD1 is up with us. H wanted her to stay up and celebrate then promptly plopped the iPad in her lap. So there's that.

Flew home today. Exhausted. Lol we had to buy another suitcase for presents, so the juggle of 3 suitcases, 3 backpacks and 2 car seat bags was even funnier when dh dropped us off to return the car and I was alone in line with both kids and that mountain, thatgolfb.

This age really does kind of suck for travel. Ds wanted to crawl over all of us the whole time, but too early for tablet help like DD.

Watching nye shit drinking champagne and eating chocolate. At least I made it past east coast but no way I’m up in 3 hours!

DD2 is going through a growth spurt for sure. Sleeping a ton (yay!) and eating a ton.

Good morning and Happy New Year! C was up at 6 sharp, so I’m glad I went to bed before midnight. DH went out to our friend’s NYE party while I stayed home. They throw an amazing casino party every year and DH won the grand prize - a nice bottle of vodka, a target gift card, and a bit of cash from the buy-in. I’m starting whole30 so today will include a bunch of food prep. It also snowed a ton last night so I’m sure we’ll be bundling up the boys to go out and play at some point.

DH and I stayed up until 11 but couldn’t make it until midnight. The kids are all entertaining each other, but M keeps tackling C, which C does not appreciate. I’m about to pop open some bubbles while I prep our traditional NYD dinner.

We made it until midnight! Ds1 spent the night at my parents and ds2 slept in (a few wake ups requiring nursing tho) until 830! It was glorious! My H unfortunately couldn't sleep because he's use to night shift so he's hurting this morning.

I'm going to have coffee and a bagel and probably head out to get ds1 soon.

Happy 2019!

Last night was... interesting. Stayed up til midnight thanks to lots of caffeine. Got to bed around 12:30 and woke up at 2am to 60mph winds. Ds3 woke up scared (don't really blame him, the house was shaking!), and came into bed with us. So I spent the rest of the night getting kicked in the kidneys. He woke me up at 5am asking for Blippi. So I got another hour with the damn raspberry song stuck in my head before AJ woke up.

Happy 2019 everyone! Someone was shooting off fireworks last night and woke ds1 up. Thaaaanks drunken idiots. Thankfully, ds2 slept through it.

Today begins my eating better, reading more, drinking less, exercising more resolutions so we shall see how that goes. It's warm out so we will all go for a walk this afternoon.

Dh and I were talking last night about how at least we know that ds1's behavior could be worse based on our experience with that other kid last night. 🤷

We needed a new alarm clock for our bedroom so I got a fancy one that lights up with sunrise colors when the alarm goes off. You can customize it to display other colors too. I was telling DH about it and he goes “so you got us an okay to wake clock?”

Happy new year! Kids slept until 6:45. Winning!! I’m waiting for my bowl game to start and the kids are playing with their Santa gifts that were under the tree when we got home.
