It has to be stressful for the stuff with Hunter to be so public and filled with such partisan venom. I can understand that it must make him ragey. But damn, Uncle Joe, you have to be ready for this stuff. How does the frontrunner have such an incompetent team? It makes me wonder if he is just ignoring his team, which is also problematic, if the case. I believe he'd be arrogant enough to ignore his team more than I believe he'd have such an incompetent team. I have a strong feeling that Biden thinks this is all owed to him. He should just cruise to the nom because he’s Joe and Obama proximity and why does he have to listen to young whippersnappers with their optics and social media malarkey? Yeah, I used malarkey.

As much as I'm shaking my head at the stupidity, I also kind of hope, should he be the nominee, he challenges 45 to one on the debate stage just to watch that orange lint ball either bluster his way out of it and get mocked or fail and get mocked. And I'm not usually one to mock others for not being able to do physical things, but unless he has a doctor lying about his physicals for him*, then he can totally do more push-ups than Uncle Joe. *Spoiler alert!

BRB, gonna go donate some more to Julián. I may have lost it on a text today at his team.
to be fair it was the THIRD text in less than 24 hours AFTER I donated asking me to donate again.

I just saw the, "You're a damn liar" video on Twitter and lots of replies saying, "Finally Joe gets tough!" I guess this is what some people want I dont think it was tough, I think its disrespectful.
could just be me tho
I had to tell one of my guys he HAD to wear a jacket AND tie to be in a ceremony to accept an award from the governor tho...Because thats what you DO
I think the push-up thing was dumb but I do think in general democrats need to be tougher? I think the best example I can come up with is Nancy Pelosi today. Because holy shit go girl. I’m not going to go after joe for calling the guy a damn liar though. I’m with him on that. That’s his kid. But the push up stuff? Meh. I can do without that. Dumb.

I think there is a wide difference between anger shown with nancy and joe. Nancy is able to keep her calm and still show her...disdain without getting all wound up. And yes she has HAD to because she is a woman and any emotion from a woman usedtobe/stillIS a sign of weakness. But she does righteous anger without the stooping very well. When Joe did what he did today, it just seems nasty. Honestly it reminds me of Shouty and Co. it may be that joe just eats crackers for me too. I will have to think on it

So I saw the full Biden video and IDK. I think the push up /IQ test thing was 100% a joke, and it wasn't a bad one. And while I like a lot of decorum from a POTUS, that's clearly not what most voters want. And tbh, that's not who Joe Biden has ever been. Upon further review, I'm less irked by the whole thing. "You're a damn liar" feels too personal, I would have referred, "Those are damn lies." But there is something to be said for letting Bartlet be Bartlet.

The push up shit is out of line, but feel free to call out people for being liars because all of that crap is ridiculous and based on conspiracy theories.

I’m just so over the GOP pushing all these false conspiracy theories. It affects people’s families. Look at what the obamas had to endure at the hands of that party. I’m over it. Democrats need to start calling people what they are when they do that shit, liars.
I still don’t like joe very much.

I feel utterly adrift since Kamala dropped out and I don't like it. I'm hoping someone will light a fire in me at the December debate.

According to the email I just got Castro has hit 200k unique donors, so 1 of 2 requirements for the next debate.

I've gone from "he's not my favorite" to "wow, I kinda hate him." Not to stan Pete, because goodness knows I think he's too green, but his comments here seem to be being taken out of context. He later expounded upon those thoughts, saying that the GOP runs up the deficit and the Dems are the ones who reign things in and that Dems should be touting those facts. Which, I don't disagree. It's complete bs that the GOP has been able to trade on being the party of fiscal conservatism when they're anything but.

Also I'm currently getting yanked around by insurance company on fucking ALBUTEROL so the candidates who lean right on healthcare at the debate are getting extra mini marshmallows thrown at them. I am so so so over our BS healthcare

I hate the end of the year for health insurance. We hit our max # of covered therapy sessions for DS in October and have been out of pocket ever since. Plus, he needed new orthotics ($$$$) and our co-pay for them sucks. At the same time, he ended up with an emergent foot issue, so none of it could be put off. Thank god for CCs or the orthotics and Christmas wouldn’t be happening. We should be able to catch up in Jan/Feb, but medical costs are so damn stressful. We are so lucky that we can make it work. If we couldn’t afford the orthotic copay, he would likely end up needing surgery.
We have decent health insurance and a median income for our area and are struggling. I know others have it far worse. Something’s gotta give.

UO: I'm tired of the obsession over Pete having worked at McKinsey, and I think the shrieking demands to see, like, 30 years of Liz's tax returns are totally OTT

Oh man Minerva I'm so sorry!! We have the opposite situation, the first two quarters we basically bleed money until we hit our deductible. Then at the end of the year we try to cram any savings from actually getting insurance coverage toward the next year's deductible.

They are all being messy AF and I’m just sitting here with the popcorn watching it all go down with smug satisfaction. I bet they all enjoyed Kamala being the punching bag for the last few months. 🍵 It kind of feels like when my team doesn’t make it to the playoffs and I can enjoy the game without the emotion or stress. I mean I don’t know which one of these messy people I will be voting for eventually but it feels very “not my circus” this week.

The state of health insurance in this country really sucks if you actually have to depend on it. I know that my family is sooo lucky to have the coverage and resources that we do compared to so many other people in America. But there is so much room for improvement.

I know Obama wasn’t perfect, but he also wasn’t messy like our top 4 this year. I really don’t like political drama llamas. That said, they are all eons better than 45 at least.

My word. This is willful ignorance (for the record I think it’s fake ignorance) and should be automatically disqualifying.
He also said no one asked him about stop and frisk before so that’s why he waited until now to apologize. Sure. 😡
