Week/EDD: 17w3d, EDD 6/6/19
Baby is the size of: an apple
FTM, Etc: FTM
Team: blue 💙
Appointments: anatomy scan on 1/20
Milestones: I might have felt the baby yesterday, but I’m not sure. It felt like a little pressure from the inside of the uterus, like he was stretching against me, and then it was gone. I can’t wait until I know for sure that I’m feeling the baby!
Symptoms: nausea is way better, and reflux seems to be getting better as I watch what I eat and take preemptive Zantac. But I’m so tired all the time!
Rants: it’s getting harder to sleep soundly. That’s frustrating. And I know it will likely get harder as I grow.
Raves: my belly is undeniably a baby bump! I love seeing it, it still feels so unreal that I get to go through pregnancy
GTKY: Are you doing anything for New Years Eve? Sleeping! I’ve been way to sleepy lately to even think about going out or trying to stay up late.

Week/EDD: 15w3d / 6/20
Baby is the size of: Avocado
FTM, Etc: STM
Team: Find out Jan 29
Appointments: Jan 2
Milestones: 2nd tri
Symptoms: Feeling better!
Rants: Just dreading how much time we will be spending in the car in the next month. We are working on moving closer to family but currently it’s a 20hr drive and so we will be headed back to CO today or tomorrow and coming back out in a couple weeks to house hunt. All great stuff, just blah to the driving (which is significantly cheaper than flying)
Raves: We’re moving back closer to family!
GTKY: Are you doing anything for New Years Eve? Nope, possibly will still be driving.

Week/EDD: 21w3d may 9
Baby is the size of: bok choy
STM
Team green
Appointments: routine appt next week and then meeting with the MFM specialist Jan 21
Milestones:
Symptoms: heartburn but that is being managed by Zantac
Rants: As much as I love Christmas I'm very glad for things to get back to normal. I'm so emotionally exhausted from dealing with my inlaws for the holidays and then for DDs birthday.
Raves: we had a really great Christmas and DD had so much fun at her party. I've already gotten my house mostly put back together and I'm ready to start 2019 off right!
GTKY: just a small get together with my brother and sister.

sunny75, Zantac is amazing, isn’t it? Are you doing it daily, or just as needed?

sunny75 , Zantac is amazing, isn’t it? Are you doing it daily, or just as needed? Yes it's made such a huge difference! I was having to take a ridiculous amount of tums before. I'm taking it once at night and I'm going to ask my doctor if it's ok to take twice a day because I could really use another dose in the AM.

I’m also taking it once at night, and so far that seems to be enough for me.

Week/EDD: 19w
Baby is the size of: zuccini?
FTM, Etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Several in January, unless I can call the doctor and see if I can switch my 20 week apt to 22 weeks, when I go back for a second ultrasound.
Milestones: Feeling movement occasionally, I can't wait until it gets more obvious. I liked feeling movement with DS1, he never put a foot in my kidney or anything. I hope once movement increases DS1 will get to feel and see, maybe he'll start to get the idea he's getting a sibling.
Symptoms: Some heartburn, and I've been a little emotional
Rants: At the MFM doctor, the receptionist, nurse and doctor all stared at us in shock when we told them we drive two hours one way to their offices. Apparently they can't believe that we live in an area so rural that I'd be willing to drive so much to receive actual care. There are no OBGYNs or Pediatricians at the local hospital, no NICU, and their solution for a CS is life flight. Yet, everyone acts like it's the craziest thing they've ever heard. It almost makes me feel embarrassed, like they think I'm ridiculously over cautious.
Raves: Everything was fine in the ultrasound, so that's a big relief. DS1 had a couple of visits to the high risk doctor, one of which was two years ago almost to the day as DS2's. It's a tradition I hope doesn't catch on. It seems both our boys are going to give us a run for our money and worry us to death, even before birth, haha.
GTKY: Are you doing anything for New Years Eve? I asked DH this today and he shrugged. There's a dance some people are going to, but it's about an hour and a half away and neither of us really wants to do that. Probably just hang out with my family.

quinstar, I always got the opposite reaction at my RE’s office, they were amazed that I only lived 2 miles from the main office. Like, there are lots of houses here, is it really that surprising that a patient lives close by? That is a long drive for you though, but I’d probably do the same thing to make sure I got good care!

We’ve made a ton of progress on getting my sewing stuff out of the soon-to-be nursery. I need to get some more storage bins for fabrics, but we’re close to ready for when my parents get here to help paint!

Week/EDD: 21, 5/10
Baby is the size of: Bok choy
FTM, Etc: TTM
Team: green
Appointments: thursday
Milestones:
Symptoms: movement, tired, emotional, bad sleep
Rants:
Raves: I had my anatomy scan, and baby was moving like crazy. I have not talked to a doctor since, so there could be issues, which is stressing me out, but it was awesome to see baby moving so much.
GTKY: Are you doing anything for New Years Eve? We went to a local kids museum for a count down at noon, then a friends house for games, but were home before 8, and in bed by 9.

It will be space / sci-fi themed. Among other ideas, H wants to 3D print an extra-solar system as the mobile (specifically Gliese 581, since it has cool planets)

So since I thought my nausea was way better, I decided to try stopping Bonjesta. I made it just fine yesterday, no real nausea. But this morning I’m back to puking. So, back to taking Bonjesta tonight.

Week/EDD: 13, 7/4/19 Baby is the size of: matchbox car FTM, Etc: Mom to 9 year old twins Team: green - for now Appointments: nothing this week Milestones: tomorrow is 14 weeks. Symptoms: Still having some nausea, but it's not as constant, and still pretty sensitive to smell. Rants: Not really PG related, but I found out yesterday that my sister likely has pancreatic cancer. She'll find out more soon as far as staging, and they're hopeful that it hasn't spread. I'm trying to stay hopeful, but I'm also an emotional mess and then I worry about what that means for baby which makes me worry more - so, yeah. Trying to keep myself distracted and remind myself that worry does no good and figure out a way to de-stress that doesn't involve reaching for the wine bottle. Raves: Today is my birthday and I'm going out to lunch with coworkers and hoping for a DQ ice cream cake tonight. This weekend my mom is taking us out for steak and lobster. GTKY: Are you doing anything for New Years Eve? We stayed in, snuggled on the couch and watched movies. Read more: howeverithappened.proboards.com/thread/23083/weekly-check-12-30#ixzz5bTKo7rfv

One more rave - the results of the genetic screening were all normal. They asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby but I said we'd wait - then almost called back an hour later. So far we're team green, but that could change. I've had two dreams now that it's a boy.

I had a check up today. Everything from my US looked good! I may have a UTI, and she was concerned about my stress levels, and let me know I can call in any time if I think my depression is too much, even though there is not a lot of medication I could take, and it would be really low dossage. I am currently furloughed, and have a conference next week that I am going to be extremely disappointed if I miss it (I did a ton of work for the paper I am supposed to present). And our daycare is where i work, so i am home with both kids, who are completely off their schedule, it is a mess here. I know others are in much worse situations than we are with this, so i feel guilty being so down on it all for myself. Sorry for the rant, I just need to get that out.
