My kids have recently discovered How to Magic on YouTube and are obsessed with magic tricks. The problem is that they aren't very good at them and they just make up their own version of the trick. It is sooooo boring to watch all. effin. day. long. What incredibly lame thing do you pretend to enjoy with gusto for the sake of your child?

The imaginary dog that lives in our backyard. He runs away every single day like a million times a day and we have to go "find him" a million times a day. I've even tried changing the story...the fence is way too tall (he jumps over), he hurt his leg (he's magically better).

Playing "pretend to be [insert whatever character she likes a.t.m.] " and being dictated to for every line I'm supposed to say.

Pretty much every imaginary game. I am not good at imagination. I usually tap H in because he's way better.

Puppet shows, which usually end with two kids fighting.

J likes to tell me about his toy animals, then makes me repeat what he said verbatim to M. I'm like, "please just tell us both about your animals so she doesn't have to hear it twice."

Peekaboo. Seriously. With C it's cute (she throws a blanket or her dress over her head and then pops out with the biggest grin). But M is all, "Mama, say, 'where's M. Say where's M. Mama, say where's M. Mama, mama. Where's M?" And I'm all, "How have you not outgrown this game yet?"

The "Mom! Watch this!" and she seriously like stomps her foot or waves her arm.
