My parents decided to list their house and see if they can sell it as is. The pictures are making my heart break all over again.

Hi. I’ve been in redirect hell all morning. It seems better now. Not much going on here. I have chicken tortellini soup in the crockpot and a sleeping baby on my chest. B’s speech therapist changed his appt from 8am tomorrow to 2:45 today. Sucks because it’s during nap (he’s still sleeping at 2:30) but it’s better because I hate the appts right before school. I feel so rushed. Re: cocktails. Last year I made the jingle juice sophiegrace mentioned. It was really too sweet. Since I’m not hosting anything this year I’ll probably stick with something traditional.

Oh but the kids are off all next week and H has to work so it'll just be me, the kids, and MIL who is also off. So really is it a vacation? Nope, doesn't sound like it.

I don't like sweet drinks. I want my alcohol to taste like alcohol. I'm the same. I don't like sweet cocktails. I do like Irish coffee and things like that but maybe the difference is they're served hot? No chocolate martinis for me, thanks but no thanks.

jubilantsquirrel I’m so sorry. But to me, sometimes it’s the best when I get a present after the holidays. It helps with the huge downer that it’s the suck of January. And now you know which cookies are his favorite so you can add a small fresh batch just for him to it. This is where my birthday being exactly 12 days after Christmas has always come in handy! LOL Except for the hispanic side of the family when that's the day we got our Christmas gifts (because Jesus wasn't Jesus until the wise men confirmed it!?!) so all my presents were combined. I make sure my nephew (Dec 23rd) always has his gift separate... not even in Christmas paper!! blog/ So the Art a la Carte was a total disaster. It was only supposed to be playing with bells and they bill this for ages 18 months-5 years old. They had Jingle bells, kid version hand bells, and singing songs. We were surrounded by the most perfectly well behaved toddlers/kids in the world and my child was the only one running around not wanting to sit and listen! He was being a typical 2 year old but I just felt anxious the entire time because he was new to the place, there was a mirror from floor to ceiling (it's a ballet studio as well) with 2 bars around the entire room. Thinking back to my only time in a dance studio, a huge rule was no touching the mirrors so of course he had his hands all over their mirrors. I need to become a more chill mom! /endblog

My co-worker was very generous about not getting his full gift today, as I knew he would be. He's been learning how to use nunchucks, so I got him some foam ones for practicing. I also got him this nunchuck pen thing that he was really excited about. So that was good.

Love walking into a thread full of drink recipes, you ladies know the way to my heart ❤️
@jubiliantsquirrel gifts after the holidays are just as nice and even better sometimes. I hope Amazon comes through and if not, I’m sure he will understand.
I went into work this morning, got a bunch accomplished, went to lunch with a coworker and came home, wrapped almost all my presents except two, I’m waiting on just a couple more things to be delivered, and am watching tv on the couch in a quiet house. Holy run on, woah! I have exactly 44 mins before I have to get off this couch and get ready for the gym before picking up the kids.

In other news, L and I are going to hit up Art a la Carte today. They are doing something with Bells and L seemed to really like the bells when we did caroling and the cookie exchange. My goal for my week and a half off is to get out the house once a day. Tomorrow, we get the oil changed in my car! My BFF is visiting Saturday and Sunday so we'll be hitting up the Museum of Science for their All Aboard! train exhibit! We'll also test L out in a movie because they have Thomas playing. dashook , we'll be heading there Saturday if you wanted to meet up! Aw! I have my “sprinkle” on Saturday with MIL and my SILs (I think we’re just going out to eat?), then we’re doing fake Christmas Eve. But let me know how it is! DH has been wanting to take the kids.

*SNIP* I know he won't be upset. He is legit the nicest guy on the planet. I am not joking. And I think I feel even worse because last Friday night a giant ass tree fell on his house and so he's been living in a hotel for the past week and will probably be there for a long time because there is likely structural damage. All I can see is an ass tree fell on his house. I just can’t decide if the tree of asses was giant or if the asses on the tree were themselves giant. Either way, talk about bad luck.

The coldest I ever have been in my life was at a Patriots playoff game in January (no dome). It was the Saturday night divisional round game against Tebow’s Broncos in 2011 and it was -11 and windy as hell. I think I possibly was wearing everything I owned; I fet like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man with all the layers, and was still miserable. All the food froze and so did the booze.
The Jets game last NYE was like -5 IIRC but I did much better at that one because we had club seats so we could go indoors every now and then to thaw out.
Pretty sure my cold weather games are mostly behind me at this point.

I'm so tired. Thursdays kick my ass. It's M's triple therapy day. So I get up feed him quickly so that he's hungry by 11 for feeding therapy. Then I make his lunch which has to consist of a challenge food, an easy food, and a slew of random shit like special utensils, plates, extra foods, 3 f*ing cups. Get him loaded and go to 2 therapy sessions. Thank God back to back in the same office. Go home and put him down for a nap. Eat and then wake him up for music therapy. Afterwards we almost always run errands because we are so close to everything. Today it was McDonald's because he was HANGRY. Then the grocery store and post office. I think part of it is hauling everything around. He is getting close to 30lbs and doesn't walk plus all the random shit we need for every stop. So now I'm letting him run wild.

I’m sorry sarahwithanh! You’re Thursday is similar but worse than my Wednesday. It starts with gymnastics, speech therapy, and I taught 2 swim classes in the evenings he’s up early, and to bed late. He did all that with minimal nap. Is there a chance for a change if you want? I’ve switching his Speech to Monday mornings in January and gymnastics to Saturday so he shouldn’t have such an overloaded day. Wednesday morning will be speech group for 2 hours and I still teach Wednesday night but there’s more time for a nap between those. I hope this gets better for you too.

No because it would just make another day crazy. We have 2 therapies Monday, swim Tuesday (and usually a morning playgroup), Wednesdays are family day, special Olympics, and sometimes music class, and Friday mornings I volunteer.

kleigh maybe I missed it, but has AB had his hearing test yet? I was thinking about you. Aww thank you for thinking of us!!! I couldn’t get past the redirects on mobile yesterday. So we move the appt from 3 days prior to Thanksgiving (at nap time) to January 16. Of course like two weeks after his Pedi appt he comes out with all this new and different stuff. That said we’re going to proceed with the hearing test bc I do think he might have an adenoid or sinus issue or something up and around there. Besides being constantly stuffed up, he talks like he has a cold all the time. Maybe I should try Benadryl a couple days in a row and see if I notice a difference ?

Occasionally we need to add in a Benadryl too, but it doesn’t make her drowsy in the slightest so I often forget about that part when talking about it.

Yeah I was in CVS earlier for other things and passed by the aisle but didn’t see liquid Zyrtec? I didn’t look very well but didn’t see it at first glance. If I was going to try either, what dosage? AB is 32lbs

AB is 32lbs There’s a few options for this age 2.5 mg once/day 2.5 mg twice/day 5 mg once a day I highly suggest either the 2.5 or 5 mg once a day because it tastes like liquid shit and both doses are kind of a lot to shove into their mouths and keep in there. I can’t wait until M is old enough for the 10 mg so she can take the fast melts. M’s pedi suggests that when we’re struggling with possible allergies to start with a week of 5 mg and then try and taper down to the 2.5 mg.

kleigh H has been taking 5mg once a day for awhile now. If you go into the children’s medications you should find the Zyrtec there.
