Ugh hopefully you hear something back soon quinstar . Maybe it's just taking so long since it's so close to the holidays? I hope it's just something like that, not everything happens exactly the same, they could have more tests or less techs to run them. I'm trying not to let my mind pick it apart to much. I'm just anxious.

Now this morning I've had a nurse randomly call to say she's looking for the results, then a receptionist that said I needed to wait another week, and that the spina biffida results are back they're just waiting on the doctor to check them and then call.
I'm really already done with today.

I also had a good ultrasound today- my anatomy scan! I'm so happy to be done with that and know everything looks good with the baby.
I guess we are officially team green now as we didn't find out the gender!
I also can't believe I'll be 20 weeks/halfway done tomorrow. This has been a good week all around!

bearfootzcontinued and sunny75, congrats on good ultrasounds! I didn’t get to see the baby today, but the OB did listen for the heartbeat. Nice and strong at 145! I had some blood work done, but overall a very simple appointment.

So my doctor called today to follow up on my anatomy scan and said that they found that I have placenta previa. So now I'm having another ultrasound and a consult with MFM. I know it's early enough for the placenta to move but placenta issues are so scary. I'm waiting for the regults of my scan to show up on my online portal so I can read more. Trying not to freak out

I finally got a call from my doctor. Because the first test was actually valid, they did not run the second test. The low fetal fraction caused my doctor to talk to the MFM doctor, who wants me in for more testing next Thursday. 3% is low enough to cause concern for chromosomal abnormalities so we will do an early anatomy scan, and possibly an amino if that goes poorly.
His 12 week ultrasound was good, the genetic screening *was* negative, and his spina bifida was negative. There are other reasons for a low fetal fraction, so I hope this is just a precaution. But not what I wanted to hear.

sunny75, I had placenta previa with my son that they found at the anatomy scan. They said not to worry, that it normally clears up, but they obviously would need to check again later. It did clear up for me, so it could definitely all be fine. And other than needing a c section, I dont remember any added danger or potential consequences from it if it had not moved. quinstar, I hope it is just something that is not a big deal, and all is fine.

Had our ultrasound today and everything looked fine. The doctor wasn't worried at all, I'll go back in 4 weeks to check things that were too small today like his heart. But finally some relief after the last couple weeks of nervous waiting.
