🙋 mine too. He screeches in the motn if dh is taking too long to get to him, if I take something away from him, if ds1 won't let take his toy, etc. It's his go to if he isn't getting his way. Ds1 never went through a screeching phase. Well until now, because he and ds2 scream back and forth at each other. We shut that down real fucking quick and threatened to toss xmas gifts, so ds1 stopped but C SCREAMS every time he wants something or doesn’t get his way. Which is often because he’s very demanding and opinionated. My children are all so very loud and make all kinds of noises. Well unless they are telling me something super important or we are in the car, then they practically whisper.

Guys, I’m so impressed with my daughter and her swim lessons. Today she rocked it and swam across the pool by herself several times for the first time. She learned rolling over and floating and turning to kick, all without the instructor touching her. I’m blown away and so proud. I’m sure she will regress after winter break but hot damn!!

Also traveling requires So. Much. Stuff! Dh and I resolved to bring our foldable wagon for the airport and gate checking. We will see how much that helps.

The ILs and H took DD1 to the park, so I’m here with Dd2 and we are just hanging out. She is being so cute.
I haven’t really cried with any new words or anything but she just found a pic of DD1 and said “sister” and omg. 😍😭

Omg has anyone else’s baby turned into a screeching banshee??? Make it stop! With E, the screeching peaked around 10 months or so. It was awful. It’s way better now.

Today was so busy! I went grocery shopping at Walmart *shudder*. So damn busy. I picked up the last minute things i needed for DH’s family (I leave his parents up to him*. Wrapped those things. Santa is coming tomorrow since I work Christmas Day. I made a little note from our elf and put our Christmas Eve box under the tree.
Tomorrow my plans are nothing but laundry/cleaning and hanging out with the kids. We’re going to make our ginger bread house and make a craft for the grandparents. Then early supper, watch their movie (from their Christmas Eve box) then baths and early to bed.

We are breaking this kid of his 1030/11pm wake up if it's the last thing we do. 😬 Ds1 woke up. So things are going well 🤦 I'm trying to just stay out of it and encourage dh. I know that if I go comfort ds2, he will want to nurse and if I don't, he will freak out. I'm also weak so I'll nurse him.

What size diapers are your kiddos wearing? I think I might need to go up to size 5, is that crazy?

Are you traveling today or was that yesterday? I hope it goes/went well! We have gotten things down to a science. We check the car seats (I know it isn’t recommended but we have special light seats we use solely for travel and they have been fine), and check our bags because Southwest. Then with us in the airport we have: baby in the Ergo, stroller to help carry baby or our carry on items, my purse, diaper bag, DD has her backpack, and H has his computer bag.

grumpycat and cnf it is soooo hard to not cave when you know that if you just go in a nurse everyone can get back to sleep quickly!

cnf and jules1614 he wasn't settling (especially after ds1 woke up) so I ended up nursing him. But on the bright side, that was his only wake up. So I'm kind of ok with it. For the past week, he's been doing a 1030/11 wake up plus a 4/5am wake up. 😴

I dropped MOTN nursing and once she realized she wasn't getting any then she promptly started STTN. It's just nursing to sleep at bed time and sometimes for a nap.

She's pretty tall and skinny compared to Jojo 😅 Oh yes, I make long skinny Babbies. DD1 is 3 and in a pinch if we run out of pull ups for overnight she still fits a size 4 diaper. I've never bought anything bigger.

He’s starting to rock to sleep some, but it makes me feel awful when someone else has to do bedtime. But luckily I can still nurse him because he wouldn’t eat or drink when he was sick all last week. I figure eventually he will be done.

Also +1 to the crap sleep. Our doctor said he’s pretty sure B is already working on molars (yay) and we can see something popping through back there. Last night was the first night in a week that we didn’t have to give Tylenol or Motrin overnight between his fever and these teeth. He’s basically been waking up screaming and won’t let us put him back down in his crib.
But we are still working with 2 wake ups and he doesn’t want to go back down right away. Thank you sleep regression.

The last two nights I think E woke up 3 times. This has been a big improvement since the beginning of last week when he was up all night long. He also has been having 1.5 hour naps instead of his usual 30 minutes and he’s been able to stay up closer to 4 hours before needing to sleep. I’m hoping that this is the start to a new sleep schedule. It would be nice though if he would STTN.
I nursed N to sleep until he was at least 20 months old. He never had an issue falling to sleep with other people. I can’t remember when I night weaned but it was probably around the same time.
Also, E is in size 3 diapers. He’s about 22 pounds and I think they go up to 28 pounds.
There. I think I’m caught up.
