MH has been in a foul mood since he’s come home from his trip. It’s really not delightful. Can i return him for a better model if i don’t have a receipt? I’m being serious.

Target is really awful about refunds without a receipt. Meanwhile, Costco will take anything even if it's been heavily used. Kidding. I'm really sorry he's being an ass. That has to be super annoying when you were handling everything solo and looking forward to having your partner back. :/ I hope he gets in a better mood pronto.

Me too because my bday is coming up in a few days and I’ll be damned if he ruins my bday festivities.

T was being such a pain at dinner. Then an older man with glasses and a long white beard was seated right next to us. C kept smiling at him and he said to his friend “wow, that’s the first baby that’s not afraid of me.” The friend said “he probably thinks you’re Santa.” T heard Santa and saw the man and after a half hour of complaining that his drink tasted weird and he didn’t want any food, he ate 2 slices of pizza and half my salad.

Like I've seen it in a spread, but not necessarily tried it. I need more Greeks in my life apparently. It's hard to say about this group. Some of them are nice enough and one is really funny. But there is this thread of mean girl judgyness that runs through the group. Lots of pile-ons of people who are not there. They were calling this little kindergarten girl a bitch last night and it made me really uncomfortable...and a majority of them are teachers or interventionists! I get that everyone needs to vent, but it goes too far IMO. I am usually the lone party pooper not jumping on the bandwagon and that gets old too. It's just a lot of work for something that I'd meant to be fun. Sorry H is being a PITA, btw. Any idea what's up his ass?

Yikes dapostrophe! I can see where that would be a turn-off. On the subject of baklava, you can also usually find it in middle-eastern bakeries or restaurants (or at least you can in my hometown).

I never even heard of one until today. I take it you’ve never been to Astoria?! No, but my backyard neighbors are from there (as is almost everyone who has moved here in the last 5 years.) We go to Greek Easter at their house so it’s probably been there.

Right? I honestly think I am spoiled by this place. I have yet to find a group of women in the wild that has this good of a balance, especially for such a large and diverse group. And thanks for the tip! I am making it my mission to get some good baklava this holiday season, based on the rave reviews!

Hi!
Baklava is delicious. The small private school I went to had a Greek cafeteria lady and made Greek food a lot. It was so so good. I obviously don't eat it anymore, but a good one is so good.
We had our department potluck today and I helped with setup and filling out ingredient cards. I could eat like 1/10 of the food but it was a success. My friend was sweet and made gf chocolate chip cookies so I could eat something for dessert. Then a grandma in J's class made gingerbread houses and had us come decorate them. It was super sweet and cute..
I'm working remote tomorrow. Their school is closed for a half day so I think I'll just keep them home and not commute.. hoping I can get a lot done tonight so it's not noticeable when I'm distracted tomorrow with both of them home.

So it looks like we will be able to warranty out Cadence's braces since she managed to break them so quickly. We're trying a new brand that is more durable...hopefully.

I have a 102.1 fever. Headache and no other symptoms except the stuff that comes with fevers like body aches. Sucks. It’s been just over a week now with high temps. I am consulting with a Dr friend of Dhs on Saturday via phone to get her take on it but will schedule check with my dr in the meantime.
I’m teleworking a half day tomorrow and then taking the rest of the day off for a hair appointment and relaxation. I can’t wait.

wedding were the fevers occurring before your stomach surgery? Could it be an infection of some sort from that? UC or Crohns?

wedding that sucks, I hope you can figure out what is causing the fevers and feel better! snoopmommymom I hope your H gets his act together! Every night I ask Evie what her favorite part of her day was. Tonight, she asked me and I couldn't really think of anything. I finally said 'checking our bank account and seeing a positive balance.' She told me that was boring...I told her thats being an adult.

I had to pick both boys up after work today because MH had something at work. I had an errand to run after pickup because I forgot about the holiday event at M2s school. Won’t be doing that much anymore. I already hate having to stop anywhere after work, but with the kids is even worse.

Bah, husbands.
How do they sleep through everything?
I was on the phone with X's therapist, holding Poppy while trying to finish making dinner, X and Dude were pulling at my legs and melting down because they were hungry.
Where was Pete? Dozing on the couch a mere 20 feet from the loud chaos.

My friend’s old daycare lady is middle eastern and makes baklava every year. Sometime she shares with me and it’s my most favorite thing. I could eat a pan by myself. One of the local cupcake places is selling a cupcake with baklava on the top and I am making it a priority to get it.

Tonight was interesting. A dude came in to go up to the NICU. Our doors lock at 9 so I have to buzz everyone in and then they have to sign in before going into the hospital. So he was acting off, because he had been drinking, and started arguing with me a bit. A security officer came over while I was talking to him (apparently he had been elsewhere in the hospital and they were watching him). He was trying to bring a bottle of vodka with him. Dummy. The security guard took it from him and then he left for the floor. He didn’t stay very long.

wedding were the fevers occurring before your stomach surgery? Could it be an infection of some sort from that? UC or Crohns? They started a year after. Before my butt surgery too. Then the swollen lymph node on my neck showed up the week before my butt surgery. So since March. This is the first time they have been this high. The highest before was 101.5 but that was rare. It was usually between 99.something and under 100.4.

wedding, any pain or tenderness anywhere? Possible scar tissue or adhesions? Or is it just the fevers and nothing else?

wedding , any pain or tenderness anywhere? Possible scar tissue or adhesions? Or is it just the fevers and nothing else? Nope. The only symptom I get is headaches and feeling kind of fuzzy. That's usually what prompts me to check my temp. I assume the fever causes these but I am not sure.
