Good morning! C slept through the night 🙌. I left his bandages off over night because he still had a lot of blistering. It looks better this morning yet worse because the blisters opened and now the areas are just super red.
Anyway, I’m going to clean up the house and wrap presents while he naps. My mom offered to watch the boys this aft so I can run errands and then ds1 has swimming tonight.

Have a good day off today pootsen! Yay for STtN! C STTN too, thankfully. I think she is over her sleep regression for real this time.

I’m here at work, taking an early break because I was starving. I got a bonus today! And I didn’t have to do anything for it. The hospital met a goal so all the health care employees got it, I think. I’m stoked. I’m putting it away for now, but thinking I should treat myself with part of it.
I have been back on the early shift this week unexpectedly. My coworker’s husband got influenza A and then subsequently pneumonia. He seems to be doing okay, but he has other health issues so he is just being monitored. Hopefully he gets better soon. The flu is so scary.

Congrats on the sleep pootsen and thatgolfb and extra congrats on the bonus! So awesome. My child is not sleeping lately. He has a tooth just under his gum so I’m guessing that’s bothering him. I’m really really hoping that once it pokes through he will start sleeping more. I can handle one waking per night but 3 or 4 and waking up for the day at 430am... 😴 I’m trying to get my Christmas cards ordered today so I can get them out this weekend. Tonight I want to wrap and mail all of the gifts for my in laws. I was going to do it last night but I went to bed early instead.

E STTN night too! Well, from 7:30-4:30. Unfortunately, I believe it was from his traumatization from yesterday's vaccines than from him actually being able to sleep all night. He's starting to get another cold so he's also not feeling great. Yesterday's doctor's appointment was rough for him. I remember that was the same case for N too. Glad it's over.
I think I am officially done with Christmas shopping!

Yay for the bonus thatgolfb. doxiemama, 3-4 wake-ups and up before 5:30 is usually our routine too. I feel your pain.

Morning!!! I’m so tired! I think i slept maybe 2 hours last night. All 3 of my kids conspired to let us get as little sleep as possible. I should be cleaning today but I just can’t.

B use to go 7pm-6am with one wake up. He’s been back to two and was up at like 5:15 this morning. I’m pooped. I think it’s teeth because he’s been almost crying when he wakes up. We’ve done nights with Tylenol and Motrin and it didn’t make a difference.
His 1 yr appointment is Friday so I’m guessing his dr will let us know if we are missing something.

Ds2 was up around 11pm and then slept until ds1 woke him up around 730am. I'll take it. Poor kid has a runny nose and an elevated temp. He's in decent spirits though. I gave him some Tylenol and he went down a little early for his nap. We'll see how he's doing when he wakes up. Ds1 had a wicked cold toward the end of last week so I've just been waiting for ds2 to get it. Sigh. I have a touch of it too of course but at least ds2 is still nursing so I've got that going for us!
I have a bunch of errands to run this afternoon now that the roads are finally clear enough. Hopefully ds2 is ok to come with. 🤷

That sounds like a nice day pootsen! I wish my mom would ever offer to watch DD She will if I ask usually at least! Yay for sleeping through the night, it's been a bit since DD has, but she has been sleeping in, so I can relax for ten minutes in the morning after getting ready thatgolfb, congrats on the bonus and I hope your coworker's DH gets well soon, scary. Oh my gosh @snuff, I am sorry!!! No cleaning for you today. quinn, I've been negligent too so haven't missed you, haha. What's crazy is I'm the only one in my department with a baby and I'm the only one who HASN'T been sick/taken a sick day since I've been back November 1st.

Ds2 has a gross cold, thank goodness for the Nose Frida!! His mouth seems to be improving so I'm guessing a mild case of HFM on top of the cold.
In other news, he has had a word explosion this last week, so many new words it's crazy!
I finally ordered my Christmas cards last night, now to address and send then out lol!

N barely napped at daycare yesterday, so I thought I was prepared for a rough night. I was not. N was up constantly, and at one point I gave him Tylenol, but it took FOREVER to kick in. He spent an hour tossing/turning/whining with his eyes closed before eventually settling back down. If he's not teething, I don't know what it could be, he's not showing any other symptoms. (I mean he's in a leap but no leap has been this bad, knock on wood.) I guess tonight I'll be ready with the Tylenol earlier, if it seems like he needs it... he's already napped more than he did yesterday, so that's a start at least. Hoping he'll get another good one in. Hope he cuts this tooth soon, for all our sakes. On the plus side, getting up with him this much is helping me binge Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The other day he mimicked “nana” for banana but otherwise he’s still just screeching and babbling Nana (banana), uh-oh, light, cracker, clock, meow (when he sees a cat), ds1's name, Dada and rarely mama. He signs milk, more and all done. He went from saying like no words and me being worried he was delayed in speech to having a ton consistently- of course they are clear to me words but a stranger would not necessarily understand them all. Also, he rarely waves bye bye or claps and DS1 definitely did those at an early age. I credit my mom, because I didn't teach him what a clock was and was shocked when he pointed to one and said it lol.

He’s still pretty young though...

I was just shocked because he went from minimal words to a ton seemingly overnight!

Ds1 had the language explosion right around 18 months and he hasn't stopped talking since. It's both wonderful and exhausting.
Ds2 says mama (in a monster voice), dada, kitty, mmhmm, and what sounds like all done. He signs for milk, more, and eat. Lots of clapping and he's starting to blow kisses. 😍 He's also very uninterested in sitting while I read books to him so I play lots of music and sing/talk to him. We read a lot of books with ds1. Different kids 🤷

Afternoon! Nothing much going on here. I'm at work and trying to figure out what on earth to get my H for Christmas. He is just so picky and doesn't really want for anything. Ugh.

My H is a tough one too. I found a lot of luck using mancrates.com. I got him the whiskey crate for his birthday and it was a hit. I'm getting him the beard crate for xmas.

I have a question. I’m on my last container of formula and don’t plan on buying anymore. I probably have one full day left. E is doing ok with milk. I’d like him to drink more but we are working on it. At home he can get away way with just two formula bottles. The problem is he usually has one anytime from 4-5:00 a.m. What do we do when he usually gets up then? Give him a regular breakfast and hope he goes back to bed? With N I nursed and at this point nursed first thing when he woke up and right before bed. I’m pretty confident E will be fine with solids the rest of the day. But we have no idea about the early morning wake up. I really don’t want to stretch the formula out longer. Any advice?

I wouldn't give a breakfast and hope he goes back to bed. You might need to offer water or milk and then let him cry?
