dapostrophe, team go wherever you want for dinner and MiL can join or not. That was a shitty thing to say. We eat at those types of places too but for Christmas that just sounds depressing ala The Santa Clause. Do what makes your heart happy. That place sounds amazing.

It's official...MH cannot be trusted with sharp objects. He just had to go get 12 stitches in the palm of his hand because he cut himself. He was kind enough to send me pictures of the grossness. All because he gets in a hurry and isn't careful with things.

How's X today cagoldi? I hope he's starting to feel better. He just crashed in the middle of the living room with his favorite pillow and blanket while watching Bubble Guppies and gorging on fruit leather. His dream day, probably. Cough sounds a little better today, but the doctor sent the wrong dose for the ABX so the pharmacy is waiting for clarification. Remains to be seen whether he’s amenable to actually taking it. Thanks for asking.

dapostrophe, that night away sounds wonderful and it was thoughtful of you to get your ils a room. Ignore her ideas, book your dinner, and enjoy!

I have somehow managed to waste even more of my day by making an address list in Excel. Typed up all 79 addresses to send cards to. A smart person would print labels from it, but I prefer the handwritten look. Unfortunately, I can't sit at my desk and address the envelopes, so I will have to work for about an hour.

I need to know how to get tiny prints to pints my envelopes. Next year, I guess.

When my grandma passed away in the summer, I took her recipe boxes even though I can’t cook. My sister asked me if I could find grandma’s Christmas cookie recipe. My other sister just used it to order a cute hand towel with the recipe written in grandma’s handwriting for my dad. My dad will love it. This is really sweet.

Another busy day at work. We are having an office decorating contest on Tuesday and are broken into 3 very competitive teams. The whole day was basically wasted trying to get intel. We are officially nuts! But I do think my team will win.
C's first karate class with everyone was last night. He had some moments he looked overwhelmed and told me he got shy. When he gets shy he makes such a dark brooding face. I think some of the teenage helpers were scared of him! But he loved it.
Tonight is his Christmas show and potluck so another late bedtime.

Thanks Ladies, I realize there us a lot more to it than Denny's for dinner. I just needed to put that frustration somewhere. Now, I can respond graciously and gently re-inforce the plans.
If MIL thinks dinner plans are extravagant, she is really going to be thrown for a loop when I book her a peppermint pedicure 😉 I WILL MAKE YOU LUXURIATE!

I do handwritten too, but it's definitely one of those things no one has time for. Hence, why they are all still sitting on my desk 😏

I do handwritten b/c I can never get my act together to fix my addresses to print labels. We still work off of our wedding spreadsheet with addendums etc for people that have moved, new people, etc. So some of the names are in a wrong format, it's way too formal, and then there's people that have been added over the years like "Neighbor Judy" I don't know her last name, but she's a sweet little old lady who lives next door and always buys the kids a little something for Christmas, so we address the card to "Miss Judy" and I have S hand deliver it.

Lol, You typed up and excel sheet so you can hand write off of that? Where were the addresses kept before? I usually hand write but this year i used my spreadsheet to print envelopes myself. That way I could choose a nice font but didn’t have to deal with labels. Worked pretty great! I’ve had a google sheet of addresses since our wedding and I update anytime I want to add someone or someone moves.

I created a Christmas card spreadsheet from our wedding spreadsheet 8 years ago. I add and remove from it as necessary. I still hand write the addresses though because I don’t mind it. I also send less than 50 cards so it doesn’t seem as overwhelming as someone that sends out 100+. dapostrophe that sounds like a dream Christmas vacation. I would definitely tell your MIL thanks for the input but we are treating ourselves.

I dont know if it will even start, so I just re-typed it all. It looked like I was working at least!

At the dr waiting for E to get checked for a ruptured ear drum. Not sure if thata why he threw up or it was a coincidence. He shouldn't throw up from a ruptured eardrum. If he has a lot of congestion he could have thrown up from that though. How is he feeling today? If he was having vertigo symptoms or off balance it could cause puking, think motion sickness. And the pain stopped at the same time as the puking. He doesn't have rupture but just plain old EI.

I always hand write addresses because I never have a lot. We got the boys pic with Santa last night, so I just ordered the cards through Walgreens. I usually like to do card stock cards, but I didn’t have enough time this year since I just got their pic. I’ll be addressing envelopes tomorrow so I can put them in the mail.
Is it bad that I’m only sending cards to you all this year and not my family? I was going to skip cards this year until we agreed to do them on here, so I ordered just enough for you all.

I feel bad b/c somehow I missed the whole Christmas card exchange thing until like, two days ago (after I'd ordered my cards). Next year I will participate! We usually only send to family and close friends. I hand-address but cheated this year and bought the matching return address labels. I should probably buy an updated plate for this address for my embosser, but we've been here 18 months and I haven't done it yet, so it's probably not happening at this point

So the guy came, tried out the bike and took it away. I made as much as I paid for it because I got it last year during a great sale on Amazon. Woohoo! $$$

I ran out to get some Christmas gifts after supper, and pull ups because we ran out. The stores weren’t too bad. I treated myself to some B&J mint something ice cream. I’m very excited to try it.

tgrimes the ABX we got is called Cefixime (generic for Suprax). We put it in an applesauce pouch and X drained it in no time, so we’re very happy campers! Something to consider if they’re willing to try that for H instead of Augmentin next time. I’m not sure if it’s as effective at treating an EI, but can’t hurt to ask.

Ruptured ear drum isn’t the same as vertigo though, hence my comment based on what you said.
