Re: sex after kids, we have definitely had dry spells after both kids. It hurt until I stopped nursing, so we tried maybe once in the year after B was born; I was a bit better after C but not by much. Consciously I knew that wasn't how I wanted my marriage to be, blah blah blah, but at the time I was just so darn tired and really dreaded it. Thankfully we are pretty much back on track now.

Hmm...confessions...

I mostly enjoy buying gifts for my immediate family--esp. my mom and sister--but I have a more difficult time with DH's side, and I always end up with some random stuff from them that I just wish they wouldn't have wasted money on. Like, instead of spending X amount on 1 or 2 bigger, nicer things, it gets divvied up into all this random stuff, b/c everyone has to have the same # of gifts to open, or something. That sounds so ungrateful, I know.

Confession: I suggested we do the Angel Tree type projects with our families in lieu of gifts. Of course I'm primarily motivated by helping provide a nice Christmas for children that wouldn't have one otherwise, but there was a small part of me that is happy that we won't end up with a carful of random crap to bring home and find a place for.

Speaking of the peen: Dh and i have been together since we were 16. I used to think it was super sexy to give road head. Well... one time, this was happening as we were driving into town. We got stopped at a stop light so Dh turned off onto the county road to avoid town.

C has been randomly singing “I’ll call you like a cell phone” for over a year. I’ve googled and found nothing. Wondered what song this is. He did it last night in front of Dh and Dh said it was Hotline Bling. He now knows it’s “you used to call me on my cell phone”.


Also, in with my music tastes. I listen to a lot of trap music and hip hop. I don’t censor for C. Anyway I’m at the Dunks drive through picking up my coffee yesterday and as soon as I roll down the window to get it Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode came on the radio and C weren’t nuts dancing and yelling this is my jam. I was definitely being judged by the cashier.

I love my engagement ring. DH and picked it out together, and I have a sapphire instead of a diamond as the center stone. He picked the stone, I picked the setting. I remember my aunt was like "You can always upgrade to a diamond later on" and I laughed because she could not conceive how it could actually be my preference. Diamonds are beautiful, but I like color.

In the sex dept, we are post vasectomy #2, so our first time in 1 1/2 months was actually last night. H needs 3 months to get cleared, so the combo of condoms, breastfeeding dryness, H being drunk, and me trying to be avoid his balls was...interesting, but we got the job done 😉

Yep, grosses me out. I also very, very rarely allow DH to try oral because 1. It’s not fair to him and 2. It also grosses me out because that’s the same area you pee from.
