I need to go catch up on the thread from yesterday! I ordered snow pants for the kids since it seems like we are going to potentially get a decent amount of snow. And ain't no way ds1 is going to fit in a 3T this year. The kid is wearing a 5 now 😬 paid extra for one day shipping. Sigh. I thought the snow pants I had were 4T. Oh well.

I'm happy it's Friday BUT I have another busy weekend. That means it will be Monday before I know it. Tonight N is singing at a local nursing home for school. The nursing home just happens to be at the end of my street, two houses down (I live on a dead end road). So, we will have to go out tonight but it's a 3-minute walk.
Does anyone's baby cry out in the night? I mean, will be dead asleep, then cries so hard it wakes them up? E does this a lot. It's enough to wake him up but I know it's not night terrors. He's completely aware of us when we go in. In the past, I wondered if it was gas pains but I started the gas drops again and so I'm not sure that's it. This happens pretty much every night and occurs every 10-60 minutes for like 3 hours. Last night it was constant. I'm going to check with his doctor next week at his 1-year appointment but I was just curious if anyone else has dealt with this in the past.
E tried cows milk last night. He loved it. I'm not surprised.

sarahandben108 DS2 definitely cries out sometimes motn for seemingly no reason and settles back pretty quickly. But I wouldn't say it happens as often or as intensely as what you described. Hopefully you guys can figure it out! When in doubt, I blame teeth 😁

Good morning! I was supposed to be off today but I picked up a shift since I had to call in 1.5 days earlier this week. We were also supposed to go to the tundra lodge this weekend (indoor water park resort) but I had to cancel our reservation since C can’t go swimming. I was pretty bummed about it, but now our weekend is completely free so I’m going to try to fill it up with other fun Christmas activities. Luckily we were going to keep it a surprise for the boys so DS1 wasn’t disappointed.

He doesn't do this every night, but he does it often.

But he generally doesn't wake himself up with it that I'm aware of.

We had a rough night last night. L was pretty constipated and hadn't pooped in 4 or 5 days. He finally got some out (TMI) but some got stuck and he was hurting pretty badly. I finally had to stick him in the bath until came loose (gross I know sorry) He seemed to feel better after that but I'm concerned about it happening again. I think I am going to cut back on milk for the next couple of days and push water and juice to see if we can clear out his system.

sarahandben108 ds2 cries out randomly in his sleep and then mumbles a bit. I don't think it's waking him up though or that it's happening every night. He still fully wakes up at least once though to nurse 🙄

How's your little today, pootsen? Last night at home I started feeling really cold - I just figured it was the house being chilly, but after dealing with a MOTN diaper change I decided to take my temp and I had a low grade fever. I almost didn't go in today, but after dropping N at daycare I went back home and took it again, and it was normal, so in I went. I regret this decision. Throat wasn't sore so I don't think it's strep, and my boobs feel fine so hopefully not mastitis. I'll check my temp again when I get home and see what's going on. Maybe just a little bug, I hope. Shit is crazy at H's work - his coworker that covers night evens has a hernia and his surgery got moved up from end of next week, when they wrap up and shut down for the holidays, to tomorrow. So H has been staying late all week to help him out (and also their boss has fucked a bunch of shit up too that he's helped clean up). He got home last night at like 12:30. I called him last night when I went to bed and he was like "If we didn't have N, I'd be quitting." Yeesh. The thing that really sucks is that he's not home until super late, so it's just me and the kiddo. Which normally would be AWESOME, but there's been a rash of burglaries in our area and Tuesday night it looks like they hit a house at the end of our street. So I've been super paranoid all week. We have very little of actual value to steal, especially the small things reported to be stolen (sounds like jewelry and things that can be easily carried away), but we are considering security systems now. (But of course, in the craziness this morning I left my wedding and engagement bands at home. Figures lol.) The person has been hitting in early evening, after it's dark but before most people are home from work, so of course I went into the house last night yelling "If anyone is in here, I've got a cranky 11 month old and a raging case of PMS, so you might want to get out now." There was actually someone home at the house at the end of my street, but they must have been asleep or something and had all the lights off. Nobody was hurt but they did bring out the helicopter to sweep the area (there's been like 18 robberies. Nextdoor is on fire about it.).

The doctor doesn’t think he’ll have any long term issues. We just need to keep his hands bandaged with antibacterial ointment until the blisters heal. Hopefully only a week or so.

I actually was sleeping so deeply that I didn't hear the monitor until I heard H's voice trying to soothe her. She was crying pretty loud, too. Very thankful H went in there. He said she would hug him, look up and smile, and then put her head back down again. Sweetest.

Hi, all. I am so so so glad it is Friday. I get off work at 1:30 today and then I have a couple child free hours before I pick them up. I am planning on doing a face mask, hair mask, and foot mask, and watching shitty holiday movies. I can't wait.
I also get free lunch at work. We were supposed to celebrate our coworker's birthday as a surprise, and he called out sick today, lololol. But my coworker ordered pancit, arroz caldo, and mango cake. Arroz caldo is one of my biggest food weaknesses. It is so good.

cakewench C is doing pretty good today! Thanks for asking. He kept his bandages on all night and doesn’t seem to be in much pain. I’m sorry about your H’s work stress. I would be worried about the burglaries too.

Poor DS got 6 shots and a blood draw at his yr appt today. And his penis skin was stuck again a bit, poor guy. And the mild ear infection was there so antibiotics. Then DD got several shots today too. Thank God DH came with me. That would have been impossible. I feel like we are setting friend who is watching the kids tonight up for failure with two clingy/ vaccination hangover kids. 😬

DS2 & DS3 had their winter program today, if you are my FB friend and are up for a giggle, they were quite the show - red collar shirts.
H is home this weekend, so I think we will finally get the tree up and maybe the shelf elf thing - DS1 asked why we didn't have one because his best friend has one. Drat.

H is working again today. I want to take N to the store but am currently in nap jail. Hoping tomorrow maybe we will get to visit Santa.
