Just got to the office.
Had my allergy shots this morning, then picked up Cadence from home and took her to her orthopedic appt. So she broke both braces from continuing to toe walk. They are cracked on either side of the toe plate on both. So we have an appointment next week with the makers to see if they can fix it or if we need to order a whole new pair.
Good news is that the doctor says her muscles are great. Hamstrings are still a little tight, but nothing major, and her flexibility is on point. So yay! He says hopefully after 3 or 4 months of braces the toe walking will be greatly improved or gone completely.
I'll put money on she'll still be doing it, but hey, sure, let's think positively.

Hi, all. Busy morning; C and I have been out running errands since shortly after school drop-off. Mailed the gifts for our Angel Tree assignments (almost $50 worth of postage later... ), dropped some stuff with the seamstress, dropped some stuff at the upholstery workroom, and took a load to a kids' consignment store. Good news is, my trunk is finally empty!

Tonight is B's school Christmas program; they invited our MOPS group to sing the chorus of Feliz Navidad (lol) so we are getting there a few minutes early. Besides dazzling everyone with our vocal stylings, this guarantees good seats for the program--apparently the sanctuary fills up since this is all the classes combined. So I am going to suck it up and do it, although I may need a shot of something before I go

I have all of the kids unwrapped presents stored in those under bed storage boxes under my bed. I walked into my room to see n had one pulled out and was trying to open it. Cue panic as I freaked out and tried to distract her away from it. She said she saw a football (which is for h) and wanted to see what else was there. So I gusss we better make sure the football isn’t a Santa present. And i need a new hiding place.

Hi! The girls had school this morning and I ran errands. It’s been lightly snowing all morning and it’s so pretty. The forecast says it’s only supposed to amount to an inch, which I’m cool with. I have to work this evening and DH will probably be late so MIL will be over to watch the girls which means I need to pick up.

I have not gotten much accomplished today. I think we are all too excited for the party tonight and no one is really working. My work best friend left shortly after our Christmas party last year, so I had our Marketing guy print a picture of her that I'm going to put on a stick and 'take her to the party' with me. And send her lots of drunk pics. That's really all I've accomplished today.

ugh...I'm sorry!  Poor H!  I hope that he is feeling better soon.  I hope you have a good leave policy at work!  

I am thankful to have understanding bosses and a great leave policy but I know not everyone is that lucky so I always feel for those that don't!

I have been scouring the internet for a used saltwater aquarium. Sierra is so enamored by fish we decided that would be her "big" gift for Christmas. But I don't want to spend a gazillion dollars on something that may or may not be long term (I question my abilities to keep anything other than a child alive).

I was hoping to have almost an hour at home alone to pack some stuff before Mh and the boys came home. He and M went to get haircuts and he thought he would be done in time get M2, but of course I get a phone call that they won’t be done, so I picked him up instead. There goes my evening productivity... I probably will be up until midnight packing the three of us. 😒

Charlie Brown Christmas is coming on ABC, so I had planned for us to watch that since we can’t record it like usual.

The Christmas program was super cute; this school offers a dedicated music class once a week and it shows, they were able to do some pretty long/more complex songs (for 3-5 y.o.'s)--I was impressed! MOPs didn't bungle our part and C fell asleep on mH's lap towards the end, so all in all a successful evening!

I had a glorious nap from 1-4, probably the longest stretch of sleep I have had in 6 months. DH felt bad when he got home at how awful I was. I actually cried on the couch a few times which is not me. Poor T kept asking if I was ok. DS1 seems fine, T never threw up but laid on the couch all day. Fx DD, C, and DH stay well.

2 nights in a row now A has told me to relax and he'll put the boys to sleep and then come hang out with me, which is amazing and I appreciate it soooooo much. But he keeps passing out with them.... I want to play Mario damnit.
