Week/EDD: 9wk5d July 4 Baby is the size of:Pecan FTM, Etc: TTM Team: green Appointments: Nothing this week, next up is Dec 19th and 21st Milestones: Symptoms: Still nauseous, peeing all the time, cramping, and random pains but nothing too bad. Was told that I do not have an infection and that vaginal irritation is a symptom of pregnancy (whether from the hormones, increased discharge, etc.). I don't recall having that with the twins but I guess my body took me seriously when I said I'm ok having all of the symptoms if that means everything is ok. Rants: Well, the irritable nether regions aren't much fun. I'm also getting anxious to tell the kids but know we should wait until after our appointment on the 19th. It's driving me nuts that they weren't the first to know. Raves: After being sick last week, I felt pretty good yesterday and managed Christmas shopping all day. I picked up some maternity jeans which DH thought was a little soon - but hey, my pants are tight so might as well, right? GTKY - Do you have any traditions this time of year, or hope to start some? Every year the Elf on the Shelf brings the kids Christmas PJ's to wear on Christmas Eve (that's my way of making sure they're in cute pj's for Christmas morning pics). Yesterday I picked up a Santa onesie for the Elf to leave as well. Otherwise we have lots of family parties this time of year, and we've started hosting the grandparents for Christmas Eve dinner. Usually, the kids participate in the Christmas Eve family mass, but this year we will attend midnight mass and they will be acolytes/servers. Hopefully I can stay up that late. bearfootzcontinued, I've been in maternity pants since around 7 weeks...the last thing I wanted on my nauseous stomach was tight jeans.

Week/EDD: 13w5d Baby is the size of: a lemon FTM Team: blue Appointments: blood draw tomorrow Milestones: second trimester! Symptoms: I’ve had a cold this past week, which made all the pregnancy symptoms worse still have some nausea, exhaustion Rants: I was hoping to go to the Motherhood Maternity outlet last weekend, since not much fits right now (yay growing boobs) but I was sick and couldn’t go. Raves: I should be done with PIO again! GTKY - Do you have any traditions this time of year, or hope to start some? We celebrate Chanukah, so we light the menorah each night. We do a big dinner party with friends during December, where I make latkes and brisket. This started when we moved away from family, since it’s a ton of effort to make latkes for just 2 people, so having a bunch of friends over makes it feel more worthwhile. We normally avoid all the kid centered holiday stuff, because it’s normally too painful, but I’m excited to get to participate in that next year!

courtniko, check with your OB, but mine said I could take occasional Sudafed (I did one dose of 4-6 hour right before bed) and regular Mucinex (NOT DM). This cold still sucked, but taking some meds was more bearable than no meds.

bearfootzcontinued , I've been in maternity pants since around 7 weeks...the last thing I wanted on my nauseous stomach was tight jeans. It didn't help that I gained some weight before I got pregnant so there really wasn't much wiggle room in most of my pants anyhow. I did buy some dress pants with the stretchy waist to see if those would work for a while. I managed to find sz 18 maternity jeans at Target and Kohl's yesterday - hopefully they actually fit. I'm not sure how many pants are geared towards short pregnant plus size women.

bearfootzcontinued, it is so hard to find maternity pants in short sizes! I have had good luck at oldnavy (online since our store doesn't carry maternity).

Week/EDD: 15w 2d
Baby is the size of: An Avocado
FTM, Etc: STM, DS is 21 months
Team: Blue
Appointments: Dec 11th. All I get is a Doppler and fundal height. But it'll actually be the first time we get to hear the heartbeat, as our last two ultrasounds they don't turn on the noise anymore. I asked and it's a new guideline I guess.
Milestones: Eh. At that boring stage of pregnancy where symptoms are minimal, not showing and can't feel movement yet.
Symptoms: I'm craving mocha fraps. I think that's what they're called anyway, I've always been a black coffee drinker but they taste so good now. I had to buy some fancy creamer to get my fill in the mornings because I can't stomach plain coffee anymore.
Rants: It's too early to start nesting. I'm bored. I want to get the cute newborn clothes out! I want to pack a hospital bag! I don't need to buy anything, except a new crib mattress. I'm looking for his very own coming home outfit, but that's about it.
Raves: I feel like a human again. And DH finally clicked and loves the name Owen. He saw some cute name trinkets at a gas station and couldn't find DS's name, but found Owen and just clicked and bought it.
GTKY - Do you have any traditions this time of year, or hope to start some?: Craft shows with my mom, records playing constantly with the old Christmas classics, sugar cookies for neighbors... and this year we're starting Steakmas! Instead of just making a smaller version of Thanksgiving we're making various meats. DH is crazy over the idea, and since the family is mostly men, everyone's really excited for it. They've all got their assigned cut, and are watching videos constantly to figure out the perfect way to cook it.

bearfootzcontinued, I bought some new maternity jeans after our 12 week ultrasound, but for four weeks before that I'd given up my jeans and gone to my stretchy jegging type pants. Nope to suffering through tight jeans! All about maternity clothes. I have the hardest time buying them too! The only ones that fit are Motherhood Maternity, they have them in longs (and shorts) and they just fit perfect. Khols and Old navy seem to slide and fall constantly on me, but I'm sure it's a very person to person thing.

I am in desperate need of new maternity jeans, and places around here are so scarce on maternity clothes. I love the pair I have, but could not find them online, and am scared to try online and have them not fit. I also have a conference in January, so I need to get pregnant business clothes, that is going to be super difficult, and expensive.

midnight, I hope your DS is home soon and feeling better quinstar, we talked about steaks for Christmas eve too so I could see DH liking that idea. courtniko, do you have a Kohl's nearby? I was thinking of checking out Amazon because at least if they don't work you can return at Kohl's easy enough. I really wanted to check out Motherhood Maternity yesterday but was shopping with my MIL and SIL and couldn't sneak away to go over there.

Week/Edd: 17. May 9
Baby is the size of: a pomegranate
STM
Team: green
Appointments: tomorrow! And I'm bringing DD with me for the first time so it will be fun to introduce her to my doctor and all the nurses I had last time I was pregnant with her
Milestones: starting to feel flutters! This is my favorite milestone, so reassuring.
Symptoms: actually not too many, I've been feeling so good. Pretty tired because of being busy this time of year but it's a good tired
Rants: usually i have plenty of rants but none today!
Raves: We had both a chicken and one of our dogs get extremely ill this past weekend to the point we weren't sure they were going to make it. Somehow both of them pulled through and are feeling much better today. I'm so happy to see our pup back to his normal goofy self.
GTKY: we are still building our own little family traditions since this is only DDs second Christmas so for now we are still just sticking with our extended family traditions. Tomorrow my sister and I are baking Christmas cookies with the kids and then walking in her neighborhood to look at lights so hopefully that will be the start of a fun tradition.

If anybody is looking for maternity jeans I bought a pair of jessica Simpson maternity jeans from Amazon last pregnancy and they are my favorite jeans. A little pricey but still going strong so well worth it. I have a really hard time finding any jeans beaciase I'm so short but true short size of these jeans fit perfectly.

Week/EDD: 17 weeks/ May 11
Baby is the size of: pomegranate
FTM, Etc: 3rd
Team: Pink
Appointments: Next appointment is the week before Christmas
Milestones: Starting to look more pregnant and less questionably pregnant/chubby
Symptoms: Starting to feel baby move a bit
Rants: None!
Raves: We told the girls they will have a sister soon. DD 2 is 18 months, so she didn't react, but DD1 is almost 4 and she is very excited. It was super cute.
GTKY - Dy you have any traditions this time of year, or hope to start some? Big Christmas house here. My husband was raised not celebrating, and he gets really into it, too. We watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas while decorating the tree, then have some hot cocoa. Also watch a new Christmas movie each weekend, amping it up more as Christmas approaches (mostly cartoons or those creepy claymation movies, which I love for some reason). This year I will probably make cookies with DD1.

A little pricey but still going strong so well worth it. I have a really hard time finding any jeans beaciase I'm so short but true short size of these jeans fit perfectly. I'll have to check these out. The ones that I got at Target are a little long in one style, but the jeggings fit ok. The pair from Kohl's is very odd fitting - like the length is good but there's extra material in the legs/thighs.
According to my zulilly notification I ordered some pants from there too. I used to blame the wine for forgetting what I ordered but now I blame the fatigue because I think I doze off mid way through and then wake up and hit "purchase" without really understanding what I'm buying. Christmas could be interesting this year.
