Just got out of my AS, and everything looks good. We got lots of great pictures. We chose not to find out the sex, so I guess we are officially team green!

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 23 +1 / April 1
Baby is the size of a: large mango?
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: 12/14 OB
Symptoms: I am having BH already. Feeling super full and a small amount of swelling in my ankles at the end if the day basically I feel like I am in the third trimester already which depresses me that I am not. lol
Rants/Raves/Vents: Gonna rant about MIL here. She has this expectation that we spend xmas eve and day and night and more at her house making it super difficult santa come at our own house. She would love for us to just bring the Santa gifts to her house on xmas eve and have santa come there. I have no interest in that. I want my kids to have santa come at their house not to mention the logistics of dragging the presents 1 hr away and back again is ridiculous. I am letting my husband decide what we do.
GTKY: What are your favorite holiday traditions? Hmm not sure I would love to go to church have a nice dinner at my house and open presents with my kids...see rant above. My kids are super into christmas lights so we will visit a display somewhere this year. We did a polar express train ride the last 2 years which was really good. I liked decorating the tree with my daughter this year. We are making cookies and dipping pretzels as well.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 25wks/ march 16 -20
Baby is the size of a: prairie dog, fundal height measuring 24.5
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ttm
Team: girl!
Appointments: had an appt today. Got blood taken to get the rhogam shot in a few weeks. I kept forgetting to talk about the ultrasound dates vs lmp and we spoke about it and with my shorter varying cycles and breastfeeding we may go with the 20th but we will see I gues. The baby will probably come some time around then haha. It would be great to have a magic crytal ball to tell me.
Symptoms: every now and again the baby is laying on some nerve and I am having to push her to get her to move, toss and turning at night, feeling big, emotional
Milestones: -
Rants/Raves/Vents:The pregnancy emotions hit me so randomly. My husband cooks on weekends so I suggested maybe lasagna, ravioli, or something along those lines and he kept throwing out suggestions like what about nachos, tacos or chicken fried rice and I just burst into sobs about why he never listens to me and I just want some kind of pasta dish and not those foods. I was a mess ahha
GTKY: What are your favorite holiday traditions? Love to go check out lights, I do a book advent for the girls and a christmas eve box with new pjs, book, snack etc. I love just watching Christmas movies with family on Christmas eve and we have party foods and make up silly stories before bed.

My H and I make a weekly menu on Sunday morning before we grocery shop and the last 3 weeks in a row he's suggested some sort of grilled pork chop (we have some frozen from our last Sams Club trip). This week I burst into tears because I DON'T WANT A FUCKING PORK CHOP I NEVER WANT A PORK CHOP YOU EAT THE DAMN PORK CHOPS IF YOU WANT THEM SO BADLY. #irrational

jewelsofthenile my MIL tries to run the show like that too, I put my foot down the first year D1 was born and said Christmas morning will be in our home and anyone who wants to join us is welcome. She had a total fit the first year, but the second year was as over-it as she gets. So that was working great until last year when she and her spouse no-showed on my kids on Christmas Day for reasons still unknown. They’re *not* invited for Christmas morning anymore because they aren’t allowed to disappoint my kids like that again. Not on Christmas. I have big feels.

magnolia, that's the van we plan on getting. I feel you, I never ever imagined me driving a mini van. SUV, sure. Minivan, no way. HAHAHA. Are you doing three across, or will one of your kids be in the back?

Yay for your new van magnolia! I’m glad your anatomy scan went well. You look awesome jacks! Sorry about your MIL @jewelofthenile! I agree that Santa should come to your house instead of MIL’s. Would MIL come to your house?

Are you doing three across, or will one of your kids be in the back? I’m going to put my oldest in the back once the baby gets here. I had an SUV that I could have put three across, but it would have been a tight squeeze, and honestly, I can already hear my 4yo and 2yo screaming about who’s touching who every time we get in the car. 😂 I’ve driven the Odyssey for one whole day now and I’m already loving the sliding doors!

jewelsofthenile we had to set some boundaries regarding Santa with my MIL too. I completely get how stressful and frustrating can be. She brought over stockings and presents to our house Christmas morning and told DD that Santa came to her house for DD too. We were like, “no, that’s not how it works.” She gave us a little pushback during the conversation, but it wasn’t an issue after that. Luckily, DD1 was really young, so she has no memory of the year Santa came to two houses for her. 😂 I hope your H shuts it down.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 20 weeks Baby is the size of a: cantaloupe FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: Green! Appointments: Anatomy scan today! I’m pretty excited. Symptoms: still just tired. I think I need my OB to check my iron levels. Other than that, feeling pretty good! Milestones: halfway there Rants/Raves/Vents: I got a Honda Odyssey yesterday. Never in my life did I think I would be a van mom, but it is super nice and nice to have since I’ll have 3 in car seats. My girls love it and I think I will grow to love it too. GTKY: What are your favorite holiday traditions? I never really liked Christmas, until my DD1 got old enough to enjoy it too. Now I love it all. Seeing my dd’s excitement is really fun. I haven’t been around here in forever. I hope you all are feeling well. ☺️ I got an Odyssey this summer, upgraded from a Pilot, and I love that silly car. It's so practical for 3+ kids!

I feel y'all on the christmas morning feels. Everyone on my H's side is fine with rotating each year between sides for Christmas Eve/Day. I prefer my side for Eve, going home, then the other side for Day. That's what we did growing up.
Once DD came, I said there will be no spending the night at grandma/grandpa's on Christmas Eve anymore. I wanted to have the chance to be Santa... they had 30+years to do it. There was a little push back but not terrible.(My warning bells went off even before we had kids, and ILs had a tricycle for my niece wrapped up under their tree with a huge bow from Santa.)
So now we go over to my side consistently for Eve, go home and wake up for Christmas morning in our house. After a leisurely morning we usually head over to my ILs for lunch/dinner. We will stay the night if it's "their" year.
My side was a little more flexible about all this, but it's working for now. I do love them, I just want my space too.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 24 today!
Baby is the size of a: Papaya
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink! Zoey
Appointments: This Friday
Symptoms: Sooooo much pelvic pain. Feel large and in charge too.
Milestones: Viability!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Getting worked up over weight gain. My OB last time said I need to be more aware of my weight gain because I had gained 4 pounds in a month. But the thing that upsets me is that I lost around 7 in the first tri because I was so sick. So now I'm just back up to where I was when I first got pregnant. But I weighed myself at work and it looks like I've gained another 3 in 2 weeks. So I'm just anxious about that. And I'm anxious that it means that I have GD and having to deal with all of that.
GTKY: What are your favorite holiday traditions? I just love Christmas! We don't really have a set tradition per se. Its just lots of parties and we do Christmas day just the 3 of us and have gifts from Santa under the tree. And we like to go around in the car through different neighborhoods and looks at all the lights on peoples houses. Its one of our favorite things to do.
Share any U/S or bump pics if you'd like: Will be taking one probably tomorrow!

Christmas was stressful here for awhile too. Our parents are not local and are 8 hours from each other so seeing both for Christmas is impossible. My mom still gets salty that we won’t travel for Christmas Day anymore. Like mentioned up thread, I want DD to wake up in her own bed on Christmas morning! They are welcome to come to us (but never do) or we can visit at another time during the season.

I used to get a lot of flack cause my family and his wanted us on the 24th and 25th, but my my siblings have kids and spouses now so my mom doesnt expect that anymore. I mentioned to MIL they could come over to our house x mas eve and I would do santa then since they are only an hour away and then we could come over to their house xmas morning early and spend the whole day. That was met with the bring the gift over comment. I left my thoughts known previously but mil used to drive 8 hrs and had santa come at her mothers house so this is normal to her. This is why i am letting MH handle the decision.

Before we had kids, I was very worried about Christmas at the ILs because they buy a ton of presents and they were all “from Santa”. But now that the other grandkids are all older, they are just from his parents so I never had to approach that subject. They do “Christmas” the weekend before where we all go and sleep at their house and the kids open the presents the next morning. It’s slightly annoying to have to juggle 2 families every Christmas, but DD loves playing with all her cousins.

Weeks pregnant/Due date: 25w3d/ Mar 17 Baby is the size of a: rutabaga FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ttm Team: pink Appointments: Friday! Symptoms: hormones! I get out of breath easily. Milestones: viability! And ds2 and MH both felt kicks this week! Still trying for ds1. She always stops when he tries. Rants/Raves/Vents: I have my glucose test on Friday. Im also pretty sure they’re going to ask if I want another c-section or want to try for a Vbac. They asked at one of my first appts and said I had time to think about it. GTKY: What are your favorite holiday traditions? We read a different Christmas/winter story every night. Decorating as a family is one of my favorites too

I that case I would probably do three across. My SUV had a very narrow middle seat and I would’ve needed to get new car seats to fit 3 across. The Odyssey has plenty of room in the middle for 3 across.
