Weeks pregnant: 28+2
Baby is the size of a: eggplant. I think this is the third or fourth time she's been the size of an eggplant...
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Thursday!
Symptoms: Achy, super vivid dreams.
Milestones: Third tri official! Panicking at the thought of only 12 weeks left however.
Rants/Raves/Vents: My sugars have been off a bit but I know why and reined it back in thankfully; holidays are not my friend and I just have to say no to it all. Looking forward to being able to cook a bigger variety of meals again, too. My poor family. They don't complain at all but everyone eats low carb if mom does and we've been doing it since August! My youngest has even started picking pieces of bun or bread off a burger or sandwich because I do it to cut the carbs. Oy.
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? So many! Lots revolving around food but I can still enjoy making it even if I don't eat it. I'm hosting Christmas for both sides this year (one on Christmas, one the weekend earlier) and a neighborhood holiday party, so that's my focus right now, but so much work. We still aren't even close to a baby name and have barely looked.

Weeks pregnant: 30w5d
Baby is the size of a: zucchini... this app makes no sense lol
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: blue
Appointments: met with my nutritionist this morning for my GD and it went well. Next appointment is December 12 to see my OB again
Symptoms: uncomfortable!!!
Milestones: nothing really
Rants/Raves/Vents: just coming to terms with my GD. My doctor’s office seems to have a pretty relaxed approach to it so far which is making me feel a little better about it. I guess I’ll know more at my next appointment.
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? Nothing really. We put up our tree. We are staying home and not traveling to see family this year so it’ll be different than usual but we will try to make it special our last Christmas just the two of us

hrh I can’t believe you’re hosting all that! And without wine?! 😱 MH wants to host just my parents and brother’s family for Christmas and I’m like....😏too much work Without wine OR cookies! hehe. (I'll make them I just can't eat them.) My folks will be super helpful with meal prep etc. on actual Christmas, so that's a lot easier. My ILs will offer to bring a part of a random meal 1-2 days before they arrive when I've already grocery shopped and planned/prepped all the meals, so that one is more work. Neighborhood parties I provide booze/beverages and main dish but everyone contributes sides etc. I figure I get a pass for hosting it next year if I do it this year, right?! It's all the baking and stuff that I'm worried about getting done... thank heaven for deep freezers. Hold your line and have a relaxing holiday!

Weeks pregnant: 33! Baby is the size of a: cauliflower or celery FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: green Appointments: next week Symptoms: my reflux is so much better since starting meds and I’m overall feeling lots better physically. Rash is gone too 🤷🏻♀️. I walked a lot yesterday and could really feel it last night but I’m feeling okay today. Rants/Raves/Vents: I’d love to decide and agree on a girl’s name. Don’t think it’s ever going to happen. GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? I’m most excited to see my boys’ faces on Christmas morning. We took them to see Santa last night and it was precious. I’ll AW a pic. We rode a train to look at Christmas lights and they rode the carousel and slides. Everything is pretty much about them now. I do want to make and eat some Christmas cookies. What is everyone’s favorite Christmas cookie to make?

Baby is the size of a: Acorn squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: girl
Appointments: regular checkup Dec 13th
Symptoms: same ol’ stuff
Milestones: another week down
Rants/Raves/Vents: I was super glad to not gain any weight between my last two appointments after a big 8lbs jump the time before last. Hoping I’ll only gain another 5-10lbs total until she’s born
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? We really enjoy going to see the lights at a local park. They go all out with Santa, hot chocolate and s’mores. I think DD will be super excited about it this year 🎄🎅🏼🍫

k I need the deep freeze. I make a ton of freezer meals before baby and it's super awesome for that. Just tell your H you need it for that, it's baby gear. hehe. Love your pics, your boys are so darling and you look beautiful! One my my fave unusual cookies for Christmas is chocolate chili cookies - they use this green chili powder from New Mexico, it sounds super weird but they're easy and good if you have the powder. Otherwise butter cookies with a layer of raspberry jam and dark chocolate on top... we do a million types of cookies! I hope everyone replies, I love hearing new types/recipes. I haven't taken out my recipes yet but can share later.

Weeks pregnant: 28w2d
Baby is the size of a: Eggplant
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Not until January 3rd. Then biweekly appointments start.
Symptoms: I had this weird episode yesterday where my already-high heart rate shot up and I felt hot and lightheaded and had to lie down. Other than that the normal discomforts of 3rd tri: heartburn, insomnia, aches, swelling, etc.
Milestones: 3rd tri! On the first day of 3rd tri, I ended up jumping in a bounce house with DD for a long time, and peeing myself a little. Lovely. Haha. This pregnancy is so different than the one with DD. No time to slow down at all.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I'm getting the nesting urge but between travel, holiday stuff and taking care of DD I don't have any free time in which to clean/organize.
GTKY: I also like to bake cookies. I made cutout sugar cookies for the first time this weekend. My favorite type of cookie is Russian Tea Cakes.

k What a sweet Santa picture! DD (3.5yo) has never liked Santa and continues to say she doesn’t like him and and doesn’t want to take a picture with him this year 😢 I have no idea where this fear of Santa came from. Last year she cried when we went for pictures so we sat with her to take one. She’s really shy with people until she gets to know them. For example.. 3 people tried speaking to her at Walmart today and she just looks down/away 🤷🏼♀️ I respect her wishes and always let her know she doesn’t have to talk to anyone she doesn’t want to but I’m a bit sad she won’t be taking a photo with Santa this year. And chocolate chip cookies for life! 🍪

Rants/Raves/Vents: I have an awful cold (as does ds1). I'm just trying to get everything done for Christmas, get ready for baby!

Weeks pregnant: 29 + 1
Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Checkup in two weeks
Symptoms: The usual aches and pains. I swear I could feel my skin stretching yesterday.
Milestones: Another week down!
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m anemic again, but a bit worse this time, and that’s after taking iron for a few weeks before my blood draw. So I I held off on eating to let my iron pill absorb this morning, but I waited too long and ended up horribly nauseous until about an hour ago. Won’t be doing that again!
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? Yes!! Baking ALL the cookies (sans wine this year, but it would normally be a wonderfully tipsy day of baking). The usual haul includes snickerdoodles, pumpkin gingersnaps, chocolate crinkles, and sugar cookies. Plus a big batch of cinnamon pecans. Then we’ll have baked French toast for breakfast on Christmas morning.

Weeks pregnant: 28+4 Baby is the size of a: Echidna FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM Team: Pink Appointments: check up next monday Symptoms: Just the normal pains and exhaustion. But doing ok otherwise. Milestones: 3rd tri! Rants/Raves/Vents: I find myself nervous about this labor. Everyone around me jokes that I might as well expect to have baby at home given how quickly DS2 showed up but it's actually making me anxious. I'm constantly making sure I have an emergency kit of sorts put together just in case. That and contractions were so different with DS2 than they were with DS1, I'm nervous I'll mistake them for something else again and end up leaving the house too late to get to the hospital. Idk. I'm sure I'll get over it but there you go. On the flip side, I'm also nervous it'll hurt as bad as it did with DS2 but last way longer. It's a no-win situation for me right now, I guess. Lol GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? Tamales and posole!! Also, we go with my ILs to the light display at the botanical gardens every year but I'm sad I'll only be able to buy normal hot chocolate and not the alcoholic versions. We also do this huge white elephant party on that side of the family which is always an overwhelming amount of people for me but I do enjoy when it gets to the gift part of it. As for cookies, the only kind I require are cut out almond sugar cookies. I do love some biscochitos but I've never made them. We make candy and fudge more than we bake cookies. hrh, Chocolate and chile items are all over down here as soon as October hits lol I prefer the ones that use red chile instead of green but I'm not a big fan of the combo (but don't tell anyone here, it's blasphemy!).

Weeks pregnant: 27+4
Baby is the size of a: Romaine (feels a bit ironic at the moment...)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: secret
Appointments: Growth scan at MFM Thursday, OB Monday
Symptoms: Belly growing fast, feels tight/heavy/sore. Vigorous fetal movements. Tired. BH about 1x/day.
Milestones: Baby shower yesterday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Bought up most of the rest of our Target registry today using 10% off gift cards we bought yesterday, a 20% off coupon we got on Black Friday, and some deals for $5 gift cards back on certain items. Saved so much! Yay!
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? We're celebrating all the holidays this week while my sister can come home on vacation. Tonight we're making Thanksgiving dinner, tomorrow we'll do all the Christmas Eve stuff (decorating, family movie, treats), then Wednesday we'll do stockings, presents, and Christmas brunch. I'm looking forward most to family games all week - we're locking ourselves in at my parents for 3 days and just playing games, watching movies, and eating!

Tiptoeing over from the March group. I am expecting twins, and while I hope to make it to the 38 week eviction date in Mid March, chances are highly likely I'll go sometime in February. I also have a 20 month old DD.
Weeks pregnant: 23+2
Baby is the size of a: pair of barbie dolls
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM Team: Double BLUE!
Appointments: Dec 24th- growth scan, OB appt and possibly a NST.
Symptoms: Exhaustion, hip/back pain
Milestones: almost to viability- this Saturday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Everyone and their mother keeps commenting that they'll be surprised if I make it past Christmas. Not something funny to joke about people!

CharlieB baked French toast sounds amazing! I can’t do a typical breakfast casserole bake that is egg heavy bc DS1 is allergic, but he can tolerate small amounts of baked eggs so I think I’ll try this!

Weeks pregnant: 29 tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: Cabbage
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Girl
Appointments: High risk today, regular OB Friday
Symptoms: Reflux. Pelvic pressure, I'm carrying her low and her head is buried in my pelvis.
Milestones: Another week of baby cooking
Rants/Raves/Vents: my high risk appointment went pretty good today all things considered. She is still measuring small, especially in her abdomen which is where growth usually starts to lag first. And my cord flow isn't as good as it should be but not as bad as they originally thought. He is changing my heart med to see if that helps and I have to cut back on exercising. I go back again next week to check flow again. He says I will still deliver early but hopefully more like 34-35w instead of 32. They will watch me very closely and if things worsen too much we will move to immediate delivery. So not great but a little better than it looked on Friday.
GTKY: Any special Christmas traditions you’re looking forward to? Making cookies and fudge. I have my Granny's fudge recipes that are completely from scratch and so delicious. We make rollout sugar cookies to decorate using the same recipe since I was a little kid. It is a huge mess with the kids but so much fun. The candlelight Christmas eve service is also something I really look forward to and then my family all gets together and we eat the most random spread of snack foods and play games.

Welcome grover! Hope you make it to March, too, but happy to have you here as well! thelittleredm ha, I love it! I'm north/Midwest so the chocolate chili thing is unusual up here. I can't even find green chili powder easily locally! sunshiney your week sounds amazing! k freezer meals I do include: Italian meatballs (I make tons of meatballs and flash freeze them on a cookie sheet; I can do sauce ahead but it's also easy to whip up and then just throw the frozen meatballs in and let cook all day); Swedish meatballs; shredded beef; pulled pork; Shepherd's Pie; quiches; chili; baked mac and cheese; other soups/stews/bases... trying to think what else. Cookie dough, so I can throw in some fresh baked cookies whenever - that ended up being more convenient than I thought it would be. I load up on meat and basic ingredients too, it's part my my nesting and I go way overboard. But I have to say, I thank myself countless times in the months afterward that all I have to do is thaw something for dinner that evening! I'm not starting all this food prep until January though. We should do a thread post-holidays with freezer meal ideas, I loved that from past boards for new ideas!

Symptoms: still peeing all the time, my hips have started popping when I use stairs.
