strawberrykiki I had terrible heartburn with DD and she came out with a head full of hair. I’ve also had terrible heartburn with this LO. It’s gotten worse over the last couple weeks so FX she also comes out with a ton of hair!

sunshiney I can imagine that’s super frustrating to deal with. I hope y’all are able to get rid of them for good this time! Hugs.

Okay two questions.
First... when is everyone washing baby clothes? I don’t want to start too early (I don’t think I started until 34-35 weeks with DD) but I’ve been itching to wash and put away at least some NB and 0-3mo clothes this week. I’ll probably have MH go up in the attic and get some of DDs baby stuff tonight so I can start this week or next.
Second... BTDT moms- did any of you just have a feeling you’d go early during your other pregnancies and then actually did? Maybe it’s just me being uncomfortable and larger quicker with this LO but I just don’t feel like I’ll make it to my DD 🤷🏼♀️ no real reason aside from being much more uncomfortable. Didn’t feel like this until 35+ weeks with DD and I’m only 31+2.

cch I washed them around 34 weeks. I thought for sure I’d go early with my second, but I was induced 2 days after his due date. I’m reeeelly hoping I don’t go past my due date this time! 🤞I’m doing all the lunges and drinking RLL. I guess I should start having sex again too, ha. I’ll probably also eat a bunch of dates once I’m closer to my due date. And I’ll still probably have to be induced.

I was induced at 39+2 with DD so I have no idea how long it wouldn’t have taken if I wasn’t. I just don’t remember feeling like I was going to pop until the last month with her and this time I’m so much more uncomfortable. Probably will get some RLL next month too. Where do you purchase it? Whole food stores? Wondering if there are brands that are better than others. I didn’t do anything like that with DD but anything to help things get moving this time I’m down to try! Minus sex 😂😂😂 it’s been so uncomfortable lately idk how often that’ll be happening from here on out. Poor Hubs.

cch, 1. We have so little to wash right now, I'll probably wait until the last couple weeks. My mom told me last night she wants to throw us a shower but can't do it until the start of February so sometime after that. 2. I felt physically miserable and fully baked by 30 weeks with DS2 and he didn't show up until 39+2 so there you go. You just get to feel overcooked for longer the second time around lol This time, I'm feeling more like I did with DS1 at this point so I'm not expecting A top show up early at all.

I washed all the newborn clothes a little over a week ago, then did all the towels/bibs/covers for stuff (rock n play, etc) this past weekend. I have felt done for so long. I have been so sick and uncomfortable, and now i have been having painful contractions for a week. Ds1 & 2 both arrived at 39w 4d. I have been hoping to go early but now that I only have 11 days until my due date I'm convinced I'll be on time or late.

cch1-I feel like anytime in third tri is good—if you’re in the mood to wash, go for it! I’m 34+4 and have been doing it for probably 3-4 weeks, though this has a lot to with us moving DD out of the nursery (i.e. I was cleaning out all the closets and drawers anyway so whatever baby stuff was in them—blankets, burp cloths, sleepsacks, etc.—got washed). I still have to so the rock and play cover, carseat cover, swing cover, and playmat. And apparently I also need to do NB and 0-3 stuff too. I asked MH to locate them in storage and wash them, so this past weekend he brought me an enormous bin of clean 6 and 9 month stuff. So now it’s on me to dig through the basement to figure out where he put the clothing during his last pointless reorganization spree. I swear I love the man but he is useless sometimes 😆 2-I had to be induced with both of my kids because of BP. I was hoping to go into labor on my own with DD early enough to avoid induction, but it didn’t happen (induction was started at 39+3). So, I’m not much help. This time I’m not getting my hopes up. My doctors likely will induce between 38-39 weeks because of my ongoing BP issues.

cch I plan to wash things next weekend and put together a hospital bag. I have a lot of factors at play that will likely cause me to deliver earlier and possibly unexpectedly. I had no clue I would delivery early with my first 2 and wasn't very prepared. We managed though. Ive never been in labor though. In my head I think I have about 3-4 more weeks and can't shake that feeling.

Also, I had to go to Whole Foods for my RRL tea. Couldn’t find it at Target or any of my normal super markets.

cch Great questions! Loving the answers. Since baby's been measuring ahead all along, and because I know I O'd on CD14 and not later like many people, I have it in my head that I will go into labor before 39 weeks (scheduled cs). The last week or two, I've been shocked at how heavy and huge baby feels, and the discomfort when baby lodges themselves left to right or with their head jammed down on my cervix...trying to be brave about it because there's 2+ months left, but DH already asked, "How could your tummy stretch any farther?!" Yikes! I didn't even think of washing the non-clothes items! I have had no nesting instincts yet. Just tired and avoidant. Putting a load through our washer and dryer takes an hour tops so I'm not going to worry about it....

I'm thinking of ordering some from Amazon. 🤔 I have used the Traditional Medicinals brand of tea in the past. I can snag it at Sprouts just up the street from me instead of having to go to Whole Foods.

All day long, A has felt like she's kneading me like a cat in between my BHs. She also seems to have dropped significantly. Even my mom commented on it and sounded concerned. I told her she has nothing to worry about but I doubt she'll drop it until A pops back up toward my ribs.

I got my GSB results back! Negative! I really wasn't worried even if I had it but I'm glad it's not something I have to think about.

Definitely not something to worry about if positive like you said, but also very nice not to have. I was positive with my first and negative with my second. What it meant the first time was that they started IV antibiotics as soon as I was admitted for induction (which was 4 pm on a Tuesday and he wasn’t born until 8 am Thursday). That’s a long time to have an IV and a long time to have antibiotics, and it definitely didn’t help with the postpartum recovery and constipation issues 😬 I’m hoping hard for a negative this time.

DS2 is throwing up again so I’m missing DS1’s Christmas party at school and I’m bummed. I’m also pretty sure I’m next bc my stomach is feeling off 🙁.

I also ended up on antibiotics for another issue during labor. We had to wait to try to get my fever down before pushing, and then I needed forceps delivery because DD couldn't tolerate the fever plus pushing. I am going to talk to my doctor about doing pre-emptive antibiotics next time. I really want to avoid another episiotomy if I can.

I've never made it far enough in pregnancy to have the GBS test so I have no idea if I was positive. I'd rather avoid a positive this time since I've got enough other things to deal with.

I look back at my labors, DS2 in particular, and am thankful I've always been GBS-. I cannot fathom worrying about getting the antibiotics with that fast of a labor. I'd probably tell myself on repeat that everything would be fine because what could I do at that point but I'd be nervous.

k, Sick kid here, too. Says his stomach hurts and he's running a low fever. I suppose after only getting 3ish hours of sleep last night, I'm grateful for the excuse to miss work.

k I’m sorry your little guy is sick and I hope you can avoid it! No experience with the Dockatot. I saw something on FB recently about how it isn’t a safe sleep surface, but it’s so hard to ever tell whether stuff like that is true or just fearmongering/sanctimommying.

I am gbs+ this time. I was negative with ds1 &2. My doctor didn't make it seem like it was a big deal or mention how long I needed to be on abs before delivery, just that I'd need them via IV.

And she kept it up most of the night, too. Normally, she doesn't move much at night after I go to bed, even during my wake ups, but nope! Kept me up all night -.-
