CoachTsWife that’s what we’re here for so don’t think twice about it. Hang tough. It’s hard. I forgot to add too that when this was happening a month ago, I thought for sure we were done and was sad cos I had clogs due to lil fella biting but I kept pumping eventhough I got half of what I used to get and after everything healed, supply was back to normal and lil fella was back to normal too. I also seem to notice that my supply would sorta tank when I’m approaching ovulation? 🤷🏻♀️ We’re also still using a level 2 nipple on his bottle he gets at night. Is he still drinking from a bottle or sippy? It could be that he’s impatient and don’t want to wait for a let down? Big hugs... we’re here for you. CoachTsWife +1 to what duskymonkey said. You can always talk about that stuff here - everyone needs a place to share these types of concerns, and that’s why we’re here. It’s also sometimes nice to get a non-spouse perspective. My H is also super supportive, but at the end of the day, he can’t really empathize the same way other moms can. Big hugs to you. Hang in there. cythe Oh - that picture is so cute! She looks adorable. Glad E is enjoying the Christmas prep! danvers We do Shutterfly cards each year, because I’m overseas and it’s just easiest to use the service where Shutterfly makes, addresses, and mails them for us. We typically do our cards before thanksgiving, when they have the 50% special plus 10 free cards. This year, we ended up mailing out 50 cards for $61 (plus $0.55 postage/mailing fee for each card). We both have huge families, but I think $1.22/custom card isn’t so bad. Ours was foil stamped too 👍. Maybe next year there will be another good deal if you look early! Also - I tend to kind of do more with cards, since we live so far away and won’t be back for the holidays this year.

I’m going to AW DH’s and FIL’s visit to school for cookie decorating and story time today! The kids loved it - especially DS1! Sorry if these pics are huge - I’m on tapa.
Poof!

My kid is having a meltdown because I won't let her stick a USB plug into an outlet. Guess it's time to babyproof

cythe, danvers Ido any of you want the Shutterfly 50% off code? I posted about it too fast and meant to say whom ever wants it let me know. I don’t Shutterfly. BTW cythe 😍 the pic. E looks so happy...such a great pic. Taitai your DS is so ch a sweetheart and those cookies look so great! We’re going to be baking and decorting some and I’m nervous for the mess 😅 I’m currently waiting for my iron to heat up so I can iron patches on DS pants 😭 then I’ll have to hand sew them securely tonight. His pant legs are so skinny I can’t get them around my sewing machine. I’m not sure how he manages to rip his pant knees 🤦🏻♀️ These aren’t even hand me downs and they’re lined pants and we only have like 2 pairs. I should get more but they’re hard to come by 😩

I made it through the night without my husband. Amazingly, both boys sleep through the night. I woke up around 3 and started stressing about the day and tossed and turned and finally got up at 5 to pump (I've been getting up early to pump, knowing there will still be milk there if LO miraculously decides to nurse). DS1 was up at 5:30 and LO was up at 5:50. It was touch and go for a while but I made it to work on time. DS1 is staying the night with my ILs so LO and I can have some one-on-one time.
DH will be home tomorrow around lunch, just in time to get ready for his cousin's wedding. The wedding and reception are "no kids allowed". We are excited for a date night!

It’s the weekend!!!!!!
While basketball season means a lot of solo parenting for me, I do love that our weekends are usually just us. They are mostly laid back, maybe some grocery shopping, house chores, and lots of play. Outside of b-ball season is a lot of running back and forth to our parents and other family so it’s nice to have a solid excuse to be a homebody during winter.
H has a noon game today so I’m taking the girls to watch for a bit. I get in free as a coach’s spouse so if we only stay long enough to eat popcorn that’s fine! 🏀 🍿

We are beyond excited to go out without the boys tonight (wedding and reception). DH is on his way home from the state football meeting and is picking DS1 up from the ILs on his way. Mom will be here soon because she's our babysitter this afternoon and evening.
I'm enjoying the peacefulness of a quiet house and rocking my not-so-little-anymore baby before the day gets busy.

Like danvers I am reading and keeping up when I nurse the baby to sleep but since I’ve usually been up since 4 am I end up falling asleep too. Add my DD to the list of crap sleepers and teething. Another tooth is coming in and she keeps waking up and just screaming for at least an hour every night. We ran out of Tylenol so I got Motrin. I have better luck with Motrin so maybe the baby will too. I’m hoping work is quiet tomorrow morning and I can address my Christmas cards.

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been a bad board member lately. Life has been busy. We’ve been to Canada on a trip, Disneyworld, dealt with strep throat, a UTI and I took a work trip to another state. We got our Christmas tree up last week but still have a lot of shopping to do! Little one is good, she is walking everywhere now but still only has 5 teeth. 😆 I know I am in for it when more start coming in. We are still BFing for now and she is sleeping great most nights unless teething or sick anyway. Work is a bit of a mess and there is a big reorganization going on and I’m not sure where I will land so I’m looking for new roles in case I don’t like where they put me. Here is a pic of me and baby at the fabric store! I will try to read more of this thread to get caught up! I started reading while I was putting baby to bed but she fell asleep faster than I thought. Good problem to have! Heading out to dinner date with hubs as soon as the nanny gets here. It’s our anniversary!

Hi everyone! Seems like everyone has been busy lately. I’m usually exhausted and in bed by 8pm so not a lot of time to check in here in the evenings. I did wrap all the kids gifts today! 🙌🏼 I think I’m done shopping for the kids and H. I just have my parents and teachers to figure out now.
Santa pic!

Currently sitting in the dark in the basement at my parents house waiting to make sure DS is asleep. DD is upstairs helping my dad set up the under the tree Christmas train and then we are decorating gingerbread houses! We are sleeping over here tonight so DH and I can have a date night to see Fantastic Beasts. My parents’ house is perfectly set up for us to stay over and it’s so much easier than asking them to come watch the kids at our house since they can just do their own thing while the kids sleep!

Lazy Sunday here. I picked up the girls wrong or slept wrong and now my lower back is killing me. Ugh. Just super sore, I’m not immobile or anything but it makes me feel old 😆
The girls have been amazing about playing independently lately so H and I been able to get more things done around the house. We will actually have time to watch a movie after the girls go to bed tonight (if I don’t fall asleep with either of them!) . I hope this new development lasts!

cythe Taitai meh! all the dangerous things baby loves. Ribbons and strings! lil fella loves playing with the cords on my sweat shirt and somehow always ends up sitting right next to the corners of the side tables. Why can't you sit in the middle of the living room. bootsorhearts1 hey hey. Baby girl looks so so happy and you look fab. Hope you get a new challenging opportunity at work with the reorg. Sometimes it's great when they do that but sometimes it's just a pain. curmudgeon that's such a good picture of your boys and Santa and he actually looks like a legit Santa! Your boys are adorable. There was no way lil fella would've sat on Santa's lap like that. Taitai how are is the visit with your ILs going? Are they enjoying all the local hospitality and sights?

Sounds like a good many of us had nights out! Hope you guys had a great time. Hubs and I had a semi date night on Friday. We decided the night before as we were decorating our tree and watching Christmas vacation to go out for some sushi. So we surprised DS after school and headed to our sushi joint which we haven't been to for many many moons and had a great dinner. Lil fella stayed home with my folks since he was still sleeping when we left to go pick up DS. DS was so excited and loved the Hamachi hara and we were so lucky they had buri. So delicious! We also had such a busy but good weekend. I baked both my vanilla and chocolate sugar cookies and DS and I decorated them for his teachers and he was super pumped and behaved as well as he could and we had minimal mess. We also surprised DS with a trip to a railroad model show at the county fairgrounds this weekend and he basically lost his mind and his bladder I was also so chuffed that I actually found a used wooden diesel train that I could pass of as a Rio Grande train which he told Santa he wanted. I also found Toby which I've been on a lookout for such a long time and he was almost mint. So my Christmas shopping is done! now I can focus on making all the cookies and packing them up in the next couple of weeks before we leave.

duskymonkey Yay for sushi and the train finds! Toby is hard to find!!! We have diesel, Trevor, James, Gordon, Percy, and Thomas — but no Toby! That’s great your DS1 eats sushi. Mine loves it too. We were so proud that he ate salmon roe nigiri, avocado maki, salmon maki, shrimp tempura role, and part of a spider roll the last time we had sushi. He is really into it - just like his mom and dad 😁 IL visit is going well, although they are sadly leaving in about 12 hours. The 6 days were too little and went by too fast. I think MIL is ready to go home though- she doesn’t do well in heat, and while it’s been “cold” here (25-31 C on most days), she has been complaining of the heat/swollen feet....even though we have the AC set low (23) and have rarely been outside 🤷♀️ FIL loves it here and went out to see lots of temples with DH today. I think he will come back for sure....not positive about MIL. She is generally a hard to please, passive/aggressive type, so I guess we’ll see if she ever comes back! 😅. The kids were very happy to see their grandparents though, which is the most important thing!
